Ouch. I regret to say I have returned these lovely sneaks due to one fatal flaw. The edges of the sneakers that wrap around my ankle are hard and stiff and were digging into my skin. I gave them several weeks to adjust and the problem did not resolve causing continued pain! Otherwise I loved all the other features of the sneaker. I do pronate which maybe contributed to the painful rubbing. I applaud Hokas customer service and they allowed me to return. I will look to replace my purchase at a later time. Please consider making a design change or adding more choices with this particular combination of stability and moderate or plush soles. I walk and hike and like the treaded soles. Again the Stinson 7 is a wonderful sneaker and I regret I had to return but the ankle fit and rubbing was extremely painful.

The Stinsons have been my go-to shoes for 10 years. The recent changes they have made in making them higher around the ankle and Achilles have made them no only unwearable (for me) but have created shins splints that are taking me a month to recover from. I am so disappointed. I used to be able to take Stinsons out of the box and go for a long hike. Not realizing that Hoka had changed the fit, I left them in the box for beyond the 30 day return policy. When I finally put them on, only to take my dog for a short walk, I was left with shin and foot pain it was a struggle to get home. Now I am looking a lot more closely at the pictures of each Hoka style I might purchase. I see that many of their shoes now include the higher ankle/Achillies design. I have been a loyal Hoka customer for 10+ years and have bought dozens of their shoes. Now I'm not sure what of their product like I can wear.

HOKA feels the need to constantly change shoes. The Stinson ATR 5 was the best shoe going. And HOKA had to change it up. They shrunk the toe box in the 6. I like the looks of this new shoe, but I don't think I even want to go through the ordering process, only to have to return them. So annoyed that HOKA does this.

I've been a lover of the Stinson Atr shoes for years because of their stability and plush support. I have flat feet and wear custom orthotics. These new Stinsons looked great so I purchased them but then I disliked them. They were too narrow in the toe area and not as plush as the previous model. It hurt my foot even just walking. I don't know what happened. This model used to be so comfortable and roomy now it's the opposite. The cushiony is not there anymore. That was a nice upgrade. I bought several Stinson models before but this one is not the same quality. I understand companies need to keep up with technology and fashion however, this model was perfectly fine as it was.

I loved the Stinson 6 and the previous Stinson models. The 7 is not the same at all. It doesn't have the cushioning. I keep trying other Hokas, but I hope the Stinson 8 is like the 6.

But these were super uncomfortable. I wore them for 4 days hoping they would "break in" but just got worse. I had to return. My feet are extremely flat. I used an insole on the last day and no improvement in comfort.

The ankle area is cut too high and the area that rubbed on my ankles was very stiff. These shoes would have rubbed my ankle raw if worn for any length of time. I really like the color though!

I bought this shoes for my 5th grader son. We received the shoes August 4. My son used it less than two weeks and it was already ripped on the inner side ankle. He used it for plain walking no running or sports. How can I reach the customer service ? I need to send the pictures. I felt like I got scammed!
