I suffer from PF in one foot and I walk outdoors daily. I love my Hokas and I've worn through the soles on a couple pairs. I wanted to upgrade to something that gives me better terrain coverage from slick/icy, to wet sidewalks, to muddy trails. I LOVE these shoes but the H frame that I thought would help is causing me more and more pain. Thank goodness for the return policy!!!!

The size was good, but the left shoe was rubbing into the inside of my ankle and making it hurt.

I've had several pairs of Stinsons over the last few years. I hate to say it but this pair broke down very quickly and started having this annoying squeak when I walked. It got to the point where I didn't want to wear them anymore.

I love the fit and feel of this sneaker. This is my 3rd pair, but every pair has had the same problem. The mesh printed fabric separates from the sole at the toes. Happens after 2 months of normal wear.

I wanted to love these so much. They are so comfortable. They all black go with everything. I could wear them doing anything. My first pair arrived "damaged". The areas where the fabric meet the sole were already pealing back. I sent them back in the event that it was a fluke and the second pair arrived looking better. However within two weeks, that pair also started falling apart. I've never had this issue before but have never worn this style.

At first, the shoes seemed ok. After couple of weeks started to make my feet hurt. Seemed to wide and they were labeled as medium. The gray overlay is already starting to come off the shoe material. And has semi poor arch support.
I'd also recommend:
Love the Challenger 7. They are my fav Hokas!

I don't understand why Hoka would not use a Vibram sole. I've hiked in these several times and they are very slippery on moist (not even wet) boulders. Other than that they are as comfortable as the Stinson Mid which Hoka strangely discontinued several years ago.

The HOKA Stinson 7 felt great at first, with features I appreciate like the durable toe cap, the new H-Fram, the deeper Active Foot Fram, the taller stack height, and the improved traction. However, the foam is definitely not soft, making it feel too hard for walking. It's too narrow and gave me blisters, so it's clear this shoe is not made for walking, especially for my 5-mile daily walks. It would be nice if they offered wide widths to cater to all types of feet.

I have many physical issues and these are the best shoes for my back. I've never found shoes that help with problems the way hokas do. But they don't last. The fabric on top is always ripped by 6 months, they stretch out to a point that they stop supporting your arch and start forcing supination. The sole breaks down and loses the cushion and just becomes hard.
I have to buy new shoes every 3-4 months. For the price, the quality should be better and they should last longer than that.

These shoes are great for back pain, standing, walking. They do what they say they will do. Just purchased in September (3months old) and the soles are coming apart from the shoe on both shoes.

this is my 7th pair of s, I have 4 of the 6th version and 3 of the 7th version. (I run a lot and am getting up there in years, so need lots of cushion) The first pair of the Stinson 7 I absolutely loved. I even bought a pair to stash in my closet because I knew the next version would somehow change. I havent worn that one yet but just bought the 3rd pair of Stinson 7s and I am surprised at how uncomfortable they are. Problem is I cant remember if I had to break these in or not but right now, ouch. they feel like I am running on a rock plate. The sole feels really hard to walk on like when it is really cold outside and the rubber firms up. I love the fit of Stinson and I use these on road and trail with great success so will keep them all but am wondering if somehow this is a different iteration of the Stinson 7 as it is not as comfortable as the first pair I bought. Overall a great road/trail shoe in the traditional HOKA wide toe box and cushioned fit. Please dont make any changes on these, and bring back the high top version! I usually wear a 9.5 in run shoes and these are true to that size.

I wore these for Grand Canyon R2R2R and they worked out fine. Be sure you are strong enough to tolerate a heavy shoe, otherwise you might risk injury and stride issues. Women's 9 comes in at 11 3/8 oz. Otherwise they have a stable, cushy feel that feels secure on the trails.

Quality shoe but the sole height is too high for my foot and there was no lateral support in the toe area. I am 65 and dealing with numerous foot problems including neuropathy causing balance issues. I need something that's not so high and closely fits my foot.

I heard good things about the Stinson and I bought them for trail running and hiking. I received them on 7/6/2024 and already the upper portion of the right shoe is separating from the bottom. I've used them moderately on paved trails no extreme stress on the shoe. Aside from the quality issues, they are comfortable and showed promise as a useful walking/running shoe.

I'm not sure that a one year lifespan is great considering the cost of these shoes. The tread is completely worn out and I bought them July 2023. I wear them to walk the dog daily, I'm not a runner. I love the fit, the plush and the stability. I wonder if the tread on Bondi is better and more long lasting? I do walk on a lot of trails though.

I have worn Bondis in a size 9 for years so I assumed I'd wear the same in the Stinson 7s but unfortunately had to return these for a half size larger. Looking forward to receiving the replacement so I can hit the trails. Wondering if others experienced the same.

To preface, Hoka's Arahi 6 is my holy grail shoe. I can walk for miles and miles and tens-of-thousands of steps in them and feel as comfortable as when I left the house. I've run my pair ragged hiking, trail-walking, city-walking, and with daily wear.
I recently decided to get into running, and wanted something with a little more impact cushioning, so I went with the Stinson 7 for looks and the big squishy sole. I LOVE the way these shoes look and the cushion itself is very comfortable, but something about these shoes or the way I balance in them causes a very painful strain in my ankles, calves, and lower hamstrings. Even just in a warmup walk, I notice my muscles cramping right away and running leaves them feeling very tight and injured. This is something I've never experienced from a shoe before. When I switch back into my Arahi 6s or other shoes, the tightness improves or goes away.
I went into a local running store and shared this, and got recommended the Gaviota 5s instead. So far the profile feels more like the Arahi 6s but does have slightly better cushioning, and my legs feel great again. If the Arahis or Gaviotas are a great fit for you, I'd steer away from the Stinson 7s for anything other than fashion-wear.

Hoka Stinson 7 has a extended tab at the heel, replacing the lower heel and pull tab. I don't like feature very much. The extra height isn't of any benefit IMHO

I bought these shoes because I loved, loved, LOVED my Stinson6's. They felt like walking on a cloud from the first time my feet were blessed to slip them on. I was disappointed to find that the Stinson6 is no longer in production, so I bought the Stinson7, thinking they would be the same. Well, they're not. They are well made, sturdy, and attractive, but not nearly as comfortable and "floaty" as the 6's.

While this shoe fit perfectly, it was way too stiff for working long 12 hour shifts.
