My new Cosmic Stinson 7's came today and fit perfect. I had a hard time deciding what to chose to replace my Clifton 8's - that I loved. I read the reviews and went with the stabilizing H-Frame, plush cushioning and recommended by the Podiatrist Association. I already loved the HOKA brand for their semi- wide toe bed to accommodate my inherited bunion on my right foot. Too bad I broke my left ankle 2 weeks ago and can't wear them both right now - but my right foot is the one the shoe always has to fit. Looking forward hitting the trails again with a stabilized shoe!

I've been hiking moderately groomed trails in Challenger 7's for over a year but was looking for a little more cushion. The Stinsons fill the "increased comfort bill" and feel a little more supportive as well. I wanted the Challengers for the road/trail transitions but found I like them a lot better on trails. The Stinsons allow pavement exercise walking in super comfort with no issues. After a few weeks I'm preferring the Stinsons to the Challengers for trails, road walking, and just for everyday. They are just a bit more roomy all around. I'm 71, average weight, and run 2-3 miles routinely, but my feet have always been picky in footwear. My one complaint is the TONGUE is TOO SHORT, especially since I use the last eyelet to tighten up my heel.

I'm planning on wearing them for the 40th anniversary LA Marathon in 2 weeks and the Pasadena Half. It did take me a minute to get used to the height of the shoes. I went from wearing the Mafate Speed 4 to these. Big difference but now that I've hiked and done some training runs, I can't stop wearing them. I'm ready to rock them

Currently I run about 8miles a day 6 days a week, pavement or gravel. These sneakers deliver exactly what I need. I was recommended these by my local running store and have had history of tendon surgery, broken ankles and broken knee so running can be painful. It's been two weeks and I have had no pain at all. I am going to get another pair for everyday wear.

This is about my fifth Hoka set. Each has been a delight, but the Stinson is outstanding. I'm 75 with a hip and knee replacement and two others needed. But these shoes, with the traction on the soles, the plush addition in the foot bed and the H-structure for balance, not only return to me the inch that my spine forfeited, but also give me a stable sense of balance. I can stand straighter and walk with much greater security. I haven't had these long enough to have any trouble with that odd rubbery addition just above the sole, but I don't plan on streaking through the woods or thundering through the frisky creek beds. Perhaps that will help.

I finally ventured out and bought a different color other than black and white. This green, gray, silver and blue is an amazing combination! Love them.

I love these shoes, comfortable and I walk a mile in them daily. I wear an 8 1/2 and these shoes in that size were perfect. I have plantar fasciitis and my heel doesn't hurt when I wear them or after where some shoes can aggravate the pain.
I'd also recommend:
Clarks, Sketcher, but Hoka is my favorite in walking athletic shoes

This is second pair of Hoka Stinson 7. This is billed at the 'off road Bondi'. More accurate would be street to trail Gaviota. Excellent for walking and hiking. Might be a little heavy for running? I recovered from a torn achilles in these and have found these particularly helpful for 'ankle stuff'. I really do wear them on both pavement and trail. They are cushioned and supportive enough for miles on pavement and grippy and stable enough for trail. I LOVE them

I was pleasantly surprised by this style by Hoka. They have a nice wide (but not too wide) toe box and they are relatively lightweight. The foot support was great for my overpronation and nothing in this shoe irritated my arthritic feet! Add to that the fun graphic pattern and you get exactly the white shoe I was looking for.

I searched for orthopedic shoes and found the Stinson 7. I started wearing only Hoka after my doctor recommended them for recurring plantar fasciitis. I love every shoe, sandal and flip flop I have worn. The Stinson 7 supports my compromised Achilles and keeps my feet solidly supported! These shoes walk me!

I am an avid tennis shoe lover who was a die hard Brooks fan for 15+ years. I put these shoes on & I swear they help spring me forward. I struggle with foot & knee pain. I made it through a work day pain free. I am looking as we speak to buy another pair of these!

I LOVE these sneakers!! I noticed almost all of the nurses and doctors wearing these sneaks when a loved one was recently in the hospital. I have been on the lookout for a new sneaker since the other brand I was previously wearing just didn’t fit the bill any longer. I figured that if so many hospital personnel were wearing them, I should check them out-and boy, am I glad I did! The fit is perfect with a nice snug fit so my feet don’t slip, but not too tight. I have quite wide feet and was concerned that the medium width available would not be wide enough but to my delight, it was! These sneaks are very light and I’ve worn them all day without them hurting my feet, which is rare these days. I have developed “mature” feet where most shoes I wear I cannot wait to get out of at the end of the day. And I LOVE Zappos for their point system, fast delivery and return policy-even house these are not going back! I am going to order another pair as soon as I get paid. LOVE my new Hokas and Zappos!!

Clark’s, Vionic

My podiatrist recommended Hoka's a few years ago to assist with over pronation, flat feet, and low back pain in addition to inserts. I started with the Bondi 7's which were great, they made me a believer in the difference the right shoe can make. I was less impressed by the Bondi 8 which I ordered to replace my worn out 7's but I can't be certain if I wasn't thrilled about the Bondi 8's because I ordered them in a wide and they just don't feel as stable, even with inserts. Even though I have wide feet and typically need a wide size, I have found Hoka's to be plenty wide enough, which I'm glad for as it provides me with more options. Being disappointed with the Bondi 8's I decided to try a 'stable/plush' shoe vs the Bondi's which are 'neutral/plush', enter the Stinson 7's. Hoka doesn't have a ton of options in their 'stable/plush' lineup, it essentially came down to the Giovata 5 or the Stinson 7. Based on reviews, and more rugged looking grips I went with the Stinson 7. This was the right decision for me, and I absolutely love the feel and fit of this shoe. No inserts needed. The shoe is stable, feels secure, and comfortable! The Stinson 7's are my absolute favorite Hoka's. They are everything I need. I do hope to see future designs of the Stinson to contain some more neutral designs, color/pattern. I've never been a fan of sneakers outside of walking or hiking, but it seems I've reached the magic age where they are a requirement. I would just like to see some more neutrality design options that wouldn't compromise the intent of the shoe, but that might allow me to wear them with my business casual work attire without looking so 'sneaker-ish'. I may try the Giovata next, just to compare but the Stinson 7 is so far the absolute top of my list, would highly recommend to anyone who may have similar foot, and stability needs - the Stinson delivers.
