Follow up from my review. I tried the wide Gaviota 5 and it was too wide for me. I then purchased this shoe in a 7 1/2 (1/2 size up) in the medium width. These fit me very well.

Gaviota 5 is nice and wide but 9W For me is too big, instead I prefer Gaviota 4

I wear my shoes all day long. They stay comfortable and leave me sure-footed. The only thing about these particular shoes is the toe area is a bit wider than most so I slip a bit. The colors are very impressive.

It was too stabilizing for my feet. But probably good for someone with different feet.

I use these shoes for walking, and they've been great on the beach. I loved my Hoka Biondi 7 shoes and am still wearing them at work. Wanted to try the new shoes and love the color I chose. The toe box is wider so the shoe looks a little bigger on my foot. Overall a great shoe, very comfortable and no back aches from walking long distances.

Seems like these have changed. The sole is not as firm and I can feel every lump and bump on the bottom of my foot.

This is a good shoe it just didn't work for me. I've been trying to find a replacement for the Bondi 7 and tried this one. I have a nerve issue and need a shoe with more cushion. The Bondi 8 is not the same as the Bondi 7, I wish it was.

Great wide toe box although they do kind of look like clown shoes. I've worn them about 5 times and realize I should have ordered a half size larger. I was concentrating on the width for my damaged foot. If you get the right size, these would be great. Unfortunately, I'm going to end up donating these expensive sneakers to Goodwill, but that's my fault, not the fault of the shoe. The footbed is really cushy and would be a great walking shoe if they were a half size larger.

These feel very similar to the 4's but the toe box is bigger and roomier. Will have to put an insert for the toe box.

I was disappointed in that I thought the shoes came with free inserts, perhaps I was wrong, because I didn't get any, Otherwise the shoes are fantastic. I'm a teacher who is always on her feet in a middle school classroom. i suffered a fall at work last May and have struggled with consequences of that fall since. I already have a physical disability so the lack of mobility has not been easy to handle. The shoes have helped a great deal in giving comfort and support during my work day. I NOTICE if I try to wear something else!

I am on my 6th pair, I believe. I wear them everyday 365 days a year for my daily shoe. I wear them to my office job, shopping, and every where in between. The reason for the 4 out-of 5 star, is due to the Gaviota 5 being a little different than the 4. I like the looks and possibly the feel better of my 4's. But, time will tell. The 5's are looser in the toes. Even looking down, you can tell the material is looser. I wish the colors would be a little more normal as well. But regardless, I love HOKA's and recommend them to everyone!!

I have very narrow feet and the gaviota 3 was perfect for me. This renewed version will be a better fit for most but it's a bit off for me

I am a Hoka loyalist. Since I got the osteoarthritis, my podiatrist recommended Hoka to me. I had been using Bondi, but I sticker to Bondi SR. Lately, the size 8W is out of stock. So I tried Gaviota. The heels are lower than Bondi but comfortable and more stylish as compared to Bondi. Is is lighter, too. But I think I will go back to Bondi SR once they get my size. In Gaviota, my toes gets sore at the end of a long shift.

I have run with Hokas for a while now but these are my first stability Hoka shoes. They are very lightweight, so don't feel maximalist. Good stability without feeling forced. The only downside is they are not as cushioned as my previous Hokas and don't feel as bouncy. Still very much enjoy running in them.

Super plushy even compared to the Clifton 9s I was rocking. I have less knee and hip pain and like the stability of the shoe. Downside is that the plushiness doesn't allow for "agility" while maneuvering around cityscapes (curbs, grates, drains, etc.). I've rolled my ankle twice while wearing these, and let me tell you, the extra plush means you've got extra room to roll. I also had to doctor the inside arch of my left foot with a patch of sorts due to recurring blisters.

Switch to Gaviota when Bondi became to narrow. I know the cushioning is supposed to be the same. However, Gaviota just isn't as comfortable with Plantar Fasciitis as the Bondi. It is the best substitute I've found.

I love the sneakers but I wish Hoka made more feminine colors. I do prefer darker colors. I wear a wide and it seems the colors are more limited. Perhaps a darker pink or a darker grey with pink or black with pink

I bought these shoes online without trying on, a gamble. I ordered 10.5 wide, non wide shoes I'm usually an 11 but wide shoes I'm a 10. I went with the middle ground and they are a bit too big. Not enough to return, but my next pair I'll get a 10 for sure. These shoes are nice and roomy and if you're new to Hoka like me, plush does not refer to the insole, but the sole outside the shoe. So when you walk it feels nice and bouncy, but the inside I would have liked to be a little more comfortable. Overall, I'm liking these for the gym and they definitely help my feet not hurt and also keep me super stable. I have pretty bad balance and lunges were never great, but now I'm able to maintain my balance

I received my sneakers fairly quickly. However, my left sneaker had a used foot insole inserted in it. I don't know why that was there? But after spraying it with Lysol, I felt comfortable enough to put it on. The sneakers have a lot of cushion and is very comfortable. So far, Westin them during my 12 hour shift has made my shift more bearable. Overall, besides that weird issue with the used insole, I would buy it again.

So far, they seem to be working similarly to the Gaviota 4. But for some reason, I needed a half size smaller than all of my other HOKAs. Not sure why they changed the sizing for these.
