I used to order size 7.5 in this shoe. The last 7.5 shoe I ordered was too small, so I ordered an 8 - also too small. Almost the same as the 7.5 These shoes run small. Also, the top of my toe hits the top of the shoe box, which is very uncomfortable. Please increase this dimension in your shoes.

This shoe is supposed to be helpful for pronation and perhaps the reason I'm having some pain in my calves is due to correction of that pronation. Another person I know said they had the same reaction and they have pronation issues. The shoe is not as padded as I had expected. It does seem to be a good shoe regardless and it does seem to help with plantar's fasciitis. The toe box is appreciated for being very roomy.

Do you know that healthcare workers are buying a lot of Hokas? We work 12 hour shifts. I wish you would focus walking and standing on a version of a Hoka shoe for us. I dont run so the emphasis on running doesn't help me decide what shoe is best. I settled on Gaviota 5. The toe box was perfect for me. Think of all the people taking care of your loved ones ! Give us our own shoe!!!

I am using this pair to train for walking the half Marathon. My feet do not get fatigued while walking long distances.

Beautiful shoe for this Active Ager Athlete fitness specialist instructor. I teach nine various Senior fitness classes a week wearing this shoe. Great posture corrector, stride comfort and great no-slip surface change ability from street, to pool, to fitness Studio classes. I feel secure on wet pool deck in water fitness to studio strength class. Even though I prefer a gym Trainer type shoe, this light blue Gavioti iis made wider sole for ball of the foot- demonstrate one foot balance exercises easier than a different more narrower made HOKA women's shoe.

I needed a wide width due to swelling in Florida heat and humidity, toe box is perfect, but heal slips, even when properly laced. I could not find the actual width of wide for women. I may have been better off with a Men's regulat

I must say. I am very impressed with the HOKA tennis shoe! I am desperate for a fancier shoe I could wear to work that HOKA could put toward creating attractive less bulky shoe to help our feet along the same lines.

The length of the shoe felt right, but the toe box was way too wide. The width of the rest of the shoe (the middle and the heel/back) fit fine.

I have had an ankle joint replacement so great shoes are critical for me. The only thing I did not like about the shoe is it does not have the support on the sides that I need as compared to the Bondi7. I have at least 10 pairs of Hoka shoes, and I Love them all. I have not tried the Bondi8 as it appears from the reviews, they are not designed like the Bondi7. Currently, due to swelling, I have to purchase the shoes much larger. Once the swelling stops a smaller size may work better.

These fit absolutely perfect right out of the box. They remind me of the Bondi 7's which I loved and wore till they were literally falling apart. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the color selection for wide widths. Why does Hoka only offer wide widths in the more subtle/boring colors?!?!? Please start offering the wide widths on all the fun/bright colors!

LOVE the Airy Blue/Sunlit Ocean colors!!! The toe box area is much wider than my Bondis but on the right shoe of the Gaviotas, the fabric of the toe box has a "wrinkled" appearance, almost like to much fabric. There are 3 permanent creases and I just do not like the look of it. The left shoe is fine. I have 5 other pairs of Hoka and that has never been an issue, this is my 1st pair of Gaviota. The other features of the Gaviota feel fine: the cushioning etc. I'm not sure if an 11 would be big enough for my orthotics. I love Hokas and will continue to buy them for the comfort!!!

I bought the Gaviota 5 because the heel on the Bondi 8 is just too much and the website says it has the same plush cushion. I have numerous pairs of Bondi 7 and would have bought another pair. The toebox is generous, but the cushioning for the big toe joint is not as good as the Bondi 7. I purchased a memory foam sole insert which helps. My feet and ankles feel very stable which is great for walking after an ankle injury. Still hoping the Bondi 7 will come back some day!

I have issues with my feet, these are comfortable but not as good as my 1st pair of Hoka's (Bondi) When I walk in these I still have a little foot pain, but my other Hoka's I feel no pain. Seems like I'll be sticking to the one's that work and not go off looks.

Overall I'm happy with this shoe. I usually buy a wide shoe but got this one in a regular width (right choice for me as they are plenty wide). Very comfortable and well made. Good support for my flat feet.

These are really great shoes. I feel super stable when I'm wearing them. I have a very, very bad back and have been suffering from chronic pain for several years. The wide stance of these shoes helps me walk with more confidence that my feet are going to land where they're supposed to. The toe box area is HUGE. I'm wearing the shoes right now, with socks on, and I can still wiggle all of my toes with ease. One thing I don't like about them is that they have no water resistance at all. A walk across the dewy grass to visit my chicken coop and the shoes are wet and I have to change when I get back to the house.

The express shipping - did not work - no code & no way to input any info. These feel kinda clunky. I wish I went into a store to try them on. But I never got near a store toward the end of a day when it is best to try on shoes. I wanted this darker color blue. All the stores had were the light/pastel colors. This toes box feels too big. I am not walking far as I am some long-term Covid issues with tendons. Perhaps when I can do 8000 - 10,000 steps a day it will be a better test run on these shoes.

It wasn't like walking on clouds, as I'd been told, but they are very comfortable. I haven't worn them much because it's been too hot to wear shoes. I anticipate the fall and cooler temperatures.

The toe box on the new Gaviota 5 is really wide and looks weird. Also, I find the added cushioning, as claimed,is not any different than the Gaviota 4. I would recommend this shoe for people who need a wide toe box.
