Overall the shoe is good. But sells under being the "cushiest" shoe for messed up feet to walk with. The cushion is really quite inferior to many of their other shoes. The toe box is absolutely huge. So much so that I wish I would have purchased a half size smaller. I admit my body is a challenge, especially my feet and back, and honestly Hoka is the only shoe that allows me to walk any distance at all. But the Gaviota 5 is not one of the better walking shoes for me.

I am in healthcare and I needed a shoe to keep me comfortable on my feet all day but hold up. So far they are doing the job. I like very plush shoes and these didn't hit my mark but still plush.

I thought I purchased a wide shoe, but it was not. I called to ask the difference between the width of a Clifton 9 Sz 8W and Graviota Sz 8B. It turned out that there is only a 1mm difference because Graviota's are made wider. In fact, a wide in a Graviota may have been toobmuch room for me! I am loving the feel and fit of the Graviota. I like the shoelaces better than Clifton 9 because they stay tied. The color is beautiful, but light, so I've been afraid to wear them to work, in the snow, or off trail. Eventually I will, but not yetI'm going to enjoy the light grayish blue color for now.

I have recently purchased multiple pairs the Bondi 7 - thank goodness for a resurrection from the vault. My old Bondi 7s were worn out so I bought the Gaviota 5 last year since I had some trips scheduled that required a lot of walking and the Bondi 8 did not work at all. The shoe stability was awesome although they look a little like duck feet but my main problem was the cushioning especially compared to the Bondi 7. I had achy feet the whole trip. I'm still wearing them but for quick trips and they've held up well. I may put an insert in them to see if they can't take me on my next trip to India as they are black and my new Bondi 7s are baby blue. Thanks for giving us lots of wide options with a nice collar in the back to help with those of us who have a normal heel size.

Returned 2 pairs of Clifton's due to wear issues (tears in heel cup and separation of upper from sole). Decided to switch to the Gaviota and they are working out fine. A little bit stiffer than Clifton.

Everything but the width is great. Support and length are good, but I bought the wide version and these aren't much wider than regular. So still a little tight up on the front half of the foot.

I like these shoes overall. Pros: Good stability without feeling like it is overcorrecting. Nice wide toe box. Breathable. Cons: Wore out quicker than most shoes (not the tread, just that they started to cause pain) Heel area really smushes down easily. I have to take care and remember to untie them every time and not just slip them on.

You have remade this shoe since my last pair. I bought two pairs of the Gaviota 4 and love them. I was very disappointed to learn you had completely remade the shoe when I tried to order more. I normally wear a wide, but because of all of the comments, I decided to get a "B" with, it's a good thing I did because I could never have worn these in a wide. I love the extra cushion in the footbed and around the heel but I hate the way they look on my feet. Though I normally have to buy a wide shoe, I have a narrow heel, these have enough padding in the heel they don't slip when I'm walking up a hill or stairs. The left shoe has a pucker in the toe for some reason, I'm thinking the material wasn't put on quite right because the right shoe does not do that and maybe I should have gone down a half size with this particular shoe because my big toes seem to press against the side of the shoe after I've been wearing them for a while. I really don't understand why you removed the reflective emblem from the back of the show. Reflective shoes are very nice when walking in the dark.

This is not my first pair of gaviota, I have tried all styles Hoka. Just wish they fit consistent from shoe to shoe. Bought online, same style, size as previous I loved, but definitely do not fit the same. Disappointing since they are so very expensive.

When the podiatrist offered a brand and specific model of shoe for my arthritic feet, I decided to try them though the price gave me pause! Love the result! Ordered online because of color choice.

The fit and feel have improved from prior versions which were too tight in toe box. These run roomy whuch works with thicker socks. The basic blue color is great but I could live without the pink, lime and orange accents.

Would like if you provided options such as slip-ins, non-slip and they run warm, would like shoes to be breathable.
