These shoes feel great on my feet. They're a little loose at the toes but not enough to matter. I just walk in them, can't run anyway. I would recommend getting a pair if you want a soft padded feel under your feet.

My 8th pair of Hokas and felt I needed a little More Stability. Wish the toe wasn't so long and wide! I'll got back to My bondi 9s and get orthotics!

I like the shoes, but I have purchased others that are just as good, at half the price.

I have been suffering from shin splint, because I wore the wrong shoes. Hoka Arahi and Gaviota are the only "stable" shoes. It was like Cinderella, first time I tried on the Arahi, absolute zero pain!!! I wanted to cry. Then I found out Hoka had the Gaviota, so I had super high hope crossing my fingers. I actually bought the Gaviota 5, for its plushiness and stability. I tried wearing it around the house, end up tripping over my own feet. I bought a pair for my son, and he had the same problem. I made sure it's regular/narrow width. These seem a bit too wide? To make it work, I would have to change the way I walk? I hope hoka considered our feedback, and make some changes. Also, I hope it's available in GTX.

A long time ago, a neurosurgeon recommended that I use Hoka for post-operative and rehabilitation lumbar spine surgery, and the outcome is notable. I strongly recommend

I was looking for a walking shoe to fit high arches, wide feet, and narrow heels. These are great! I usually avoid a thick, really padded sole but after one day of wearing them, I was comfortable and happy. The heel feels a bit roomier than I'd like but I just use the last 2 lacing holes to lock in the heel and wear thicker socks. These are a good alternative to Altra, which use to be my go-to.

I bought a 2nd pair of the giovanni shoes as the first one was soooo comfortable. While these are comfy, they squeak!! I thought that it would go away as I broke them in but no, still squeaky! Its not a huge deal because I wear them mostly for working out and walking the dogs. Not sure if its just my pair or a flaw in the new style. Still very comfy though!

I ordered the Graviota 5 based on the assessment provided by Hoka. Unfortunately, I was still having very bad pain specifically related to my plantar fascia. I bought some additional heel inserts which help subside the pain. But now I am having trouble with the ball of my foot possibly because the heel insert is causing me to put more pressure in the front part of my feet. My mother bought the Bondi 6 sometime ago, and when she came to visit, I tried them on. They were substantially more comfortable to me than the Graviota 5. The Bondi 6 has way more cushion on the ball of the foot. I would not recommend buying online as it is hard to tell how issue is going to fit and feel.

These shoes are the best I've found for pronation. My hip pain has diminished. They're very comfortable, but my gosh they are so ugly. They make my feet look huge. They were sold out of the more reasonable colors. Common sense would say that women don't really want big feet and I cannot see why they design soles that make feet look huge. I wear a size 8, but my feet look like 11s in these.

These are great and super comfortable, but the tread does not last long. It is smooth after only about 4 months of wearing.

I bought these for the stability features because I pronate. Unfortunately they are too cushy. I can feel the support but due to all the cushion I struggle with my balance. I’ve purchased and returned several pairs of Hokas. Their designs are inconsistent and have many unusual fit styles.

Everything in me wants to keep these shoes, but they have too much space in the toebox for me. I can completely curl my toes while standing in them, and my foot slides left & right. If you have wide feet I'm certain you would love this shoe!! However, for a regular width foot, the toebox is too spacious. It's true to width in the midsection, but too wide for me in the toes. The arch support and cushion of this shoe is incredible. I just need to find a different Hoka shoe for myself.

This is my first pair of Hoka brand shoes, and I purchased the Gaviota 5's. I've worn them to work (custodial) for a little over a week. They are comfortable so far. Because other reviews said they are plenty wide without ordering wide, I ordered regular. My mistake since I have a Taylor's bunion. If you are also blessed with a Taylor's bunion, I would suggest ordering wide width. (It seems so obvious now). Other than that so far so good. I only gave 4 stars because I'm one of 'those' people.

I bought these shoes because they were the number one recommendation (on an orthopedic site) for people with neuropathy. Both of my feet are in big trouble! I have extensive arthritis and a monster bunion on my left foot. I will have surgery over the next couple of years and hope to be done searching for the perfect shoes. I have custom orthotics and have been able to walk wearing a pair of New Balance shoes in a wide size. I bought the Hoka Gaviota 5, also in a wide size because I was looking for shoes that were not as heavy as the NB shoes (one pound each!) and a better-looking shoe. I am returning them because they are much too wide and I also found the arch to be unforgiving- too hard for my sensitive feet. They did fit lengthwise and are great looking shoes. The search goes on…

I usually wear 9.5W (in Hoka, and others) but this 9.5 size is too long in the foot. Changed for a 9W and they're perfect.

I bought these with the idea in mind to correct my pronation. I did have to swap out the innersole with my own, but it seems they have done the trick. I have experienced a bit of tenderness to the outside of my foot. I imagine because it's not used to having the pressure on it now that the pronation has been corrected.

Bought this model at the recommendation of my AI app based on my right foot issues & pain, lumbar stenosis, and the fact I work 12 hour shifts in healthcare. My needs were snug heel fit, side to side stability and good support. I've worn the shoe for 6 shifts only and they are stable and "cushy" and my foot and back pain have been reduced significantly. The only negative observation is how wide the "medium" toe box is for anyone not having that need. I also bought this color because it was the least ugly women's color offered, but after 6 shifts indoors, the shoe and sole are filthy and grimy like I took them trail running. They look very unprofessional to wear and will need to be washed AFTER ONLY 6 wearings. I hate the colors that HOKA offers for women in Gaviota and Bondi. All of them are light, pastel, and they look like they belong in an Easter basket! I wish they'd offer some bold and bright uppers & soles like a few of the men's shoes. I have purchased a pair of the men's Gaviota because their uppers were colored a bit better, but you can really feel the difference in the "cush" of the sole as they make men's a bit different to support the weight difference of a man. HOKA please make some flashy bright colors for your Gaviota and Bondi! Not all women want to wear shoes that look like we're 3 years old

I love all my Hokas and was in need of a blue pair. The new navy blue in Bondi 9 turns me off with the red trim so I thought I would try the Gaviota. Fit is fine but those stripes ruin it for me. The shoe is too busy. Fine if you only run in them but I live in my Hokas. Returned.

I am abandoning my Arahi 7 for the Gaviota 5 simply for comfort. I will be using inserts due to pronation but the shoe is still very comfortable after removing the HOKA insert and replacing it. Normal width worked even with the insert. It won't get a lot of use until later in the summer so my opinion might change - not likely.
