I have the Gaviota 3 shoe which I loved! This new product, Gaviota 5,was so wide in the toe box, it looked like a Croc shoe and importantly, it didn't fit properly. It was too wide but a half size smaller would have been too short. I am really disappointed and unfortunately, sent the shoe back today :(

I've ran in the Gaviota shoe since 2020 and loved all pairs but this one. The arches of my feet now hurt, I have Achilles pain and my calves are miserable. I've tried to make these shoes work for 2 months but I can't run (can't even walk comfortably) in them. Super disappointed in this shoe.

I have been wearing Graviotas for at least 5 years now, 6 days a week in my exercise class. I need the most ultra plush and stability shoe available and they have been a godsend. My current pair ( the 4)is 2 1/2 years old and I have been hesitant to buy the 5 b/c many, many reviewers are saying they have ruined the shoe by changing it! Unfortunately, the reviews are correct. The shoe has been ruined. Extremely wide, my feet are swimming in them so the stability is not there (I wear a wide in the 4 so that tells you how wide they are), all the cushion in the front of the shoe is gone and I can no longer jump or kick without feeling pain in my knees and ankles. PLEASE bring back the Graviota 4!! I am now going to have to try other brands which is a real shame as I am huge Hoka fan. I have the Bondi's for everyday and the hiking boots for Switzerland. Can't believe you changed a great shoe.

After wearing these HOKA for only 5 months 2-3 days per week they fell apart. The front of the shoe on both feet began to separate. I submitted a manufacturer warranty claim that was denied and the only answer I received was I could try again. I was not about to waste more money on shipping again. Terrible product. I will no longer purchase from HOKA and will not promote the shoes.

I am waiting to see what the warranty is like. So far, not helpful. The shoes were 175.00 and a plastic curved portion in the heel is poking out. AWFUL!

Purchased item twice tread doesn't last. You would need to replace shoe every 3 months. I purchased a pair August lasted till October. Purchased a 2nd pair in October lasted till December. Found customer service unhelpful and hard to reach.

First time buying this brand, I should've stuck with my original brand I've purchased my entire life. One the shoes lost their comfort in a matter of moths along with their crappy fabric. These shoes didn't even last seven months without the fabric starting to come apart. The funny thing is these were just my regular walking shoes not even my gym shoes that outlasted these and they are different brands. I will go back to my old brands because not only does this shoe suck, but they're warranty is a joke they make it so people don't wanna even go through the process so they don't lose money, but in the long run, you will lose my future money. I will not buy these shoes for my family my child or my grandchild. I will just continue to tell people how awful these shoes are and their warranty process that alone will make it worth it because I know they've lost future sales because of their junk shoes. Any good quality shoe company like Otho feet. New balance, of food and the list goes on stand behind their product and make the warranty process quick and simple if needed. This company knows they sell junk shoes so that is why they have the process they have for warranty.

My podiatrist rec me this shoe but in the winter time it's too cold and when I wear warmer socks the shoe is hitting my pinky and it hurts! Would like to exchange, I don't have the box anymore but just bought this. I would like to exchange this to a wider shoe maybe that's better

I'm a first time HOKA buyer I'm 76 and chose the brand and shoe based on my daughter's recommendation. I had foot surgery recently and needed these, however, I returned for an exchange color and have yet to hear from you WHEN WILL I RECEIVE REPLACEMENT? Never again!

I love the fit of these shoes, however the quality is beginning to deteriorate and I've only had them for two months. This is very disappointing to me as I do love these shoes. I wear them for my shifts working at a hospital and for the occasional errands run very low impact! The soles have begun to peel back which is creating a tripping hazard.

They had to order the shoe and I asked the sales lady if they were navy blue she said yes blue. Sales lady was excited because they had two pair in stock in my size 6.5 D width. To arrive in 7 to 10 days which was great! They arrived in 4 days! I was excited we are in the home stretch of finally having new walking shoes! When I opened the box there was coffee stain from a previous spill. The shoes were the wrong color before I even took them out of the box a light blue with pink sole lavender finger pull on the heal and orange eyelet holes. So disappointed with the color I didn't even try them on. Had I know they were made in Vietnam I would not have ordered them. They will be returned.

I spoke with customer service to see which shoe they recommend for supination and they told me this one was best but it's not. The sides aren't holding up like I thought they would. Don't get me wrong they are the most comfortable shoes but I'm probably gonna end up having to find something else cause these aren't holding up.

Read in a review that these are more stable but just as comfy as bondi 8. I disagree. If Stable means harder, then yes, they are a lot less cushioned. Not as comfy by any means. They also look kind of cheap and the fabric doesn't come clean when I throw them in the wash. I don't love them. Big price tag for something I don't like.

I ordered online because I do not have time to drive 20 miles to the nearest retailer to me and they sent me the incorrect size. The only thing they would do to fix it was have me return it and get a full refund. I have an out of town race that I now am scrambling to not only get the correct shoes for but I also now have to figure out how to return these and am now going to end up driving out to the retailer anyways, all before leaving town, with little to no help from Hoka. Thanks for nothing. Be careful ordering through the website. This is not my only negative Decker Outdoors customer service experience. I'm extremely disappointed and will be avoiding ordering directly from the website in the future. Unfortunately, I have a rare shoe size that isn't carried in store so I'm likely switching to a different brand running shoe after this experience.

Store to try on. Immediately noticed my ankle rolls with every step. Have gaviota 3 are perfect, feels like my feet ultimate support no rolling ankle. Also the older version of recovery shoe built in arch feels like my feet.

What have you done to my Gaviata sneakers. They feel less cushioned, less fitted to my foot. I hate them! Did you alter the Gaviota 4 so much when you designed the 5? Can I still but Gaviota 4s????

I also ordered the Clifton and Bondi in the same size, but my big toe was pushed up against the end of the shoe. Keeping the other 2 returning this one.

I struggle with high arches, pain in the balls of my feet, and numb toes. I've worn orthotics since I was 18 years old (40 now). I am a teacher and a single mother of 5, so I'm on my feet for up to 12 hours a day. I LOVED the Gaviota 4s. I had finally found my Cinderella shoes that I could go all day without pain or numbness. When the Gaviota 5s dropped, I was extremely excited to try the "even more supportive" shoe. They. Are. Awful! I wore them for the 55 days, and they do not have the forward foot padding or the toe box room that the 4s had. I even attempted switching from my usual size 8.5 to 8.5W, and it did not help. I was limping by the end and gave it up, that it is the shoe that is the problem, not my feet. I was told by a shoe store employee that the cushioning of the 5 was 'shifted back to work in a better rocker.' Well, maybe HOKA should have realized there are more foot ailments than plantar fasciitis. Now, I'm on the search again for a shoe brand that helps my issues.
