I bought these for my law enforcement job. I have high arches; and these lacked the arch support. I normally don't wear wide shoes. These boots run narrow; I would have to exchange for wide. These boots do have good heel support and cushion in toe box.

I bought these for rainy days and hikes for my 2 month trip to Italy and Greece. I also brought an old pair of runners to be my primary shoe for the trip. By the end of the first month the material behind the heel had worn through all the way to the foam backing on both shoes. I was very shocked as I've never had a pair of shoes wear through like that with such little use. I sent them back and am just waiting for LLBean to process the return. The rest of the shoe is perfectly fine - the fit was normal, the Gore-tex kept my feel dry, and the traction was great. Nice color, too. Pretty bummed.

Never have I needed to, 'break-in' my Hoka's, I own over ten different pairs/styles (CliftonL, Stinson7, Bondi8, SkywardX) however these,I may have to. Hoka nailed it with the METEOR / COSMIC SKY color, I absolutely LOVE IT!
The sides and lower toe box are tight, they're too flat and too stiff. I'm in my '50s, I put in 13-17,000 steps daily through rough terrain, bipolar Michigan weather and standing on cement in a cramped warehouse. The shoes have great traction but what good are they if I can't wear them 3 hours into my shift without killing my feet? The round shoe laces are a no-go as well, constantly retieing them. I haven't decided if I want to keep them, I will try them with a thinner toe sock (when is Hoka going to make runner's toe socks?) then decide. If they were a little more, SkywardX plush/arch support, they'd be perfect imo.
Thank you Hoka, for a great return policy, I'll keep trying.

I bought these for the comfort and features. I love them! Unfortunately, it's been less than a year and I've barely worn them and both laces started unraveling and one broke. I contacted Hoka. They offered NO assistance and said to get replacement laces online! Be aware that there is no customer support and assistance. At this price point, this is very disappointing and wrong.

Depending on the socks I wear, my toes feel cramped. But if I ordered a half size up they would be too big probably. I wouldn't buy again.

I got these shoes in August of 2023 for a trip to Europe, and have continued to wear them for hiking and walking with our dog. I'm not a trail runner or anything close to an athlete, and I have to say these shoes have not held up to the Hoka expectations.
While the upper of the shoe has held up, the outsole is already crumbling. Really disappointing that the treads of the vibram are now peeling off after only a little over a year. The warranty is only a year long so unfortunately I'll have to pay for a new pair of shoes.
I did love them initially, they are comfortable and the goretex is perfect on rainy days. It is unfortunate that the quality is not up to par as I would have expected to get at least 2-3 years of wear from an outdoor product at this price point. I am debating whether or not to purchase a pair of Hoka's again after my experience.

Man, these are COOL, and HEAVY! I love the brand, but oh my good gracious these are hefty. Super cute, love the color, very comfortable, could have worn them right out of the box and into the soggy horizon, but alas they were just too damned heavy for me.

I was hesitant to purchase these as I have seen reviews on other websites of the bottoms being slippery. I wanted a pair of Gortex hikers though, so I decided to try them. The shoes themselves are comfortable. However, do not expect the cushy comfort as other Hoka's. These are hikers and meant to give you feel for the ground. The slippery bottom held true for me. First day I wore them, I was on concrete steps which were dry, and for no reason, my foot slipped out from under me. Not sure why this occurred, but I cannot chance it. Also, these shoes will look "long" on your feet even if they are the correct length. The design of the toe gives this long appearance. Great color, good comfort, but I do not want to chance slipping or falling.

Pros: I think these boots would be great for any well-maintained trails that don't require a ton of scrambling/climbing on rocks, they look super cute, and they don't get easily scraped up and are pretty easy to clean. They are relatively comfortable if you're not walking on hard terrain. I would recommend these if your intention is to use them for more casual hiking.
Cons: For any hiking that requires more intense pressure on your feet (climbing on rocks/trails, high inclines on the trail), it's almost as though the cushioning on the bottom of the boot is too soft, so I could feel all the grooves of the rocks I was stepping on, and sometimes lost my balance when trying to climb up because the bottom of the boots felt so soft/bent too much to the rocks. My feet always ended up sore after my hikes because of this, I bought these boots with the intention to use them on a backpacking trip but I'm looking into other options.

I got a pair of these shoes in night sky 2 months ago. Within a month, the rubber toe cap was coming loose on the inside of the right shoe. Hoka did an even exchange for another pair. (Good!) I've had the second pair for a month. Guess what is happening in the same spot on my new shoes? If you said the toe cap is coming loose in the same place you would be correct. Hoka offered a refund. (Good) And made some recommendations of other models that might work for me.(Good) But good grief!

The boots fit lovely. The toe was wide, and the traction was wonderful but the first day out I crossed A wet lawn, the insides were completely soaked. After a very soggy hike, I went home and dried them, and then hit them with the Nikwax. I allowed for dry time with that and took them out again. After walking through some mud, my feet were completely soaked once more. No hiking boot should get that wet that quickly.

Initially I wore them around the house thinking they may need to be broken in, but not at all, but while doing this I noticed it they bothered my ankles quite a bit. They do get very hot as well so probably better for winter months. Overall I ended up returning them as they were not comfortable walking/ hiking 8+ hours days. I ordered a half size up, maybe a full size up would work better given thicker socks?

These shoes have NO insole, nothing to feel supported. Completely disappointed. Pain constantly from bunions. Crazy pain with these shoes. Awful

ran a half size small and very narrow. I always wear a 7.5 B width but not in these. Very stiff and clunky feeling. I had high hopes for a hiker that is comfortable. Not this one.

I have a perfectly pair of boot in my true size that truly rub small so I will have to purchase a new pair and figure out what to do with the pair I have only tried to wear to work for a week. Although I would recommend I also recommend you size up. We live and we learn. Well other 220 must be spent.

I ordered a half size up from my regular size of 7-1/2 B to allow for heavier socks and foot swelling after a day of hiking. The size 8 B was right at the end of my toes while wearing thin socks. The insole of the shoe did not feel as supportive and comfortable as Trail Code GTX.
Loved the beautiful blue color!

Shoes are cushioned, large on me for an 8 and 8s usually fit perfect, the lace set up makes it very difficult to tie tight enough as i have very narrow feet. If i could find these in a store i would have liked to see what a 7.5 feels like

I hike 2-3 miles 4 -5 days a week. The shoes look amazing and provide great traction on the trails. My biggest issue are the hooks used to lace up the shoes. There isn't enough padding underneath the hooks and they rub places on my ankles. So I don't lace them all the way. Also the hooks are big enough that sometimes they catch the other shoe's laces and can cause you to trip.

The shoe is lightweight but sturdy. The rounded toe was roomy. But, the rest of the shoe was on the wider side. It didn't matter how heavy my socks were or how tight I laced them. My foot wiggled around and felt like it wasn't supported enough for hiking. I had to return them.

I have a dozen pair of Hokas in varying styles, mostly 8 wide but some are 8 medium. These were SO narrow I couldn't get my foot into them, even with thin socks (and I would always wear a good sock to hike). I love the look of them, and am sad I cannot wear them.

I would size up y'all! I'm an 8.5 in every shoe I own but with these my toe was pressing on the front. I also agree with others they are not very wide. I have narrow feet and have never had to order a wide width and any shoe in my life.
