Nice boots, brought them thinking they would have the same feeling and fit as the sneaker. They are a tad bit stiffer, not the same cloud walking feeling like sneakers. Im very disappointed in them.

These don't have the wider toe box that the challenger running shoes have. The right foot was narrower than the left. Sadly, I returned them.

Look, I am a HOKA fan through and through. I own 6 pairs, which I still use and rotate.
HOWEVER these are the weakest of the line up.
I bought these boots for a winter & hiking boot a little over a year ago and have worn them hiking, snowshoeing, camping and just walking through the snow. I want to like them so much, but the fit is just too narrow for my feet and the tension is painful after a few hours in them - even if I'm just walking around. Also, the laces dig into the tops of my feet; which I can't combat with thick socks because of the tightness of the shoe! I can confirm that they are completely waterproof - I've worn them for 6 solid hours in the rain with no issues, but for actual hiking I just go back to my Speedgoat GTX - which I would suggest over this shoe.
I'm still wearing them because at this point I can't return them, but I would not buy again. If HOKA made a wide I'd reconsider.

I got these for a trip I'm taking to hike in the Dolomites. I've been going on short hikes on trails at home and the shoe just isn't as comfortable as I expected for Hoka. They took so long to arrive that I only had a few days to test them, so I'll use them but I wouldn't buy them again.

A half size larger would probably fit me well, but I find the lowest lace hook position to be awkward. The lace hook is positioned below the tongue lace pass-through (I don't know my shoe terminology), which seems like it would get cumbersome.

I have the Kaha2 and I love them! They are so comfortable! I found that there is a rating you can look up that tells you the amount of cushion for each shoe. This shoe is moderate. The Kaha2 is plush. If you don't need a lot of cushion these could be your option. It's not Jonas fault that I chose incorrectly.

Got a size 9.5 which is my regular. I really liked the look and comfort of these boots. However the boot is narrow and does not provide arch support . I had to put in my arch support inserts and because the boot is so narrow they will not fit. I went to a store to try a half size bigger and they were too long and started folding weird on the front and too when stepping. So they are true to size lengthwise but to narrow across to fit your inserts. I exchanged them online for the mens size version but the customer service rep told me to get 8.5 on mens and I think he should have said 8 which later I saw other "all gender" boots size M8/W9.5. So I had to return them because M 8.5 is basically a W 10. So the boots are nice . The size is ok as long as you do not need arch support and inserts for that.

I'm a consistent 8.5 in all the Hokas I own (6 pairs). I hate returning things I bought online, it's such a hassle. I put these on and my toes touched the front. If I were to hike and my feet swell, I'd be miserable. Perhaps the toe box is too narrow? I can't speak to the waterproof-ability of them since I didn't wear them anywhere but home. I have noticed my feet have gotten bigger since I started running distance, though, so perhaps that's the issue. Regardless, these are way more comfortable and supportive than my other hiking boots.

I have heard such great things about Hoka shoes, so I thought I'd try them out. I train horses and manage a small stable, so I'm on my feet a LOT, and needed something that would keep me from getting home in horrible pain. At first I thought these would work. They rubbed on my ankle bone a little, but I was willing to overlook that for more comfort in my actual feet. Unfortunately, the hooks that the top laces hook into are angled in such a way that they immediately catch any hay net that gets within range. The literally tripped me up several times, at one point catching both feet, and nearly resulting in injury. So, if you have horses and use hay nets at all, AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS. They are dangersous.

I bought the Anacapa 2 Mid GTX as a replacement for my Anacapa Mid GTX, which I loved. The Anacapa 2 are NOT the same. They were both size 9.5B, but the Anacapa 2 were much smaller than the original pair- a half to full size, and completely unwearable. They also lack the arch support and are much less cushioned than the original pair. Unfortunately, I missed the returns window so I can't return or exchange them.

I bought my normal size and they felt alright until I used them for hiking. Then they felt too short. My toes were very sore from hitting the end of the shoe. I am very disappointed as they were expensive. I have owned six pairs of Hoka shoes before this pair, and have never had this problem. I wish I had bought them in a larger size as I am unable to wear them again.

These look nice and they are durable. The outsole is sturdy with great traction. But there are two big dealbreakers. 1. They are very uncomfortable with cushioning distributed in a way that doesn't work for me. Wearing them for any length of time makes my feet hurt. I have even tried them with third-party cushioned insoles and it doesn't help much. Not what I expected from a Hoka shoe. 2. Even worse, despite what you read on the online gear review sites, they are not very waterproof at all. After spending 15 minutes in a moderate rain or walking through a couple of puddles (deep enough to cover the toes but not come in through the top), water starts seeping in around the toes. My feet don't get soaked, but they get pretty damp. And then they take forever to dry out. I don't think this is just the DWR wearing down because they have been this way since soon after I bought them. I have had much better luck with other shoes that cost me 1/3 the price. This was a big part of why I bought them, so I am deeply disappointed.

All of my shoes are Hokas. I have problematic feet and I love to walk. It's the one shoe I can wear and walk miles in. I have 4 pairs. Therefore I felt confident in buying the hiking boot online. Im not at all pleased with the fit. It does not feel good to hike in. It hurts my ankles and the soles of my feet. It also is not attractive. So this one was a disappointment.

This shoe has a cheaper and less supportive feel than my other Hoka styles. The material on top of the shoe is oddly rough and was the first pair I've owned to give me a blister. The tread and foot support were nothing to write home about. Disappointed in these so-called low cut hikers. I do love my other Hoka styles and will stick to what works.

At first great. Very comfortable and super cute. I bought these in April and the top has already cracked and is no longer waterproof. Falls under normal "wear and tear". For $200 + these should have lasted longer than 7 months. Heavily disappointed. Will not buy again.

They look great- tried them on out of the box and thought it was a good fit- but not as comfortable as any of my other Hokas. A didn't get to wear them until a few days later- walked my daughter 15 up to school and felt like my left foot was just being crushed. Thought maybe I just needed to break them in. Got home and checked they were the same size 6.5b in each shoe. Then I held them up to one another and the right shoe was a visibly larger size, more than a half inch longer.
I was only going to send them in to exchange, but after I thought about it, I don't know much I trust getting 2 shoes that fit the same. I don't actually know which of the shoes was the "real" 6.5.
Pretty bummed.

I debated sending the boots back; but ended up keeping them simply because I needed them now. They run small. They fit; but are snug & I'm glad when I get them off.

I don't like that the heel soles extend out so far on each side. Too easy to get tripped up. Otherwise, this is a great hiking shoe.
