I'll be returning this pair. These are the most narrow Hoka shoes purchased. I wear a 7.5 medium in several other pair, these are short and narrow.

Was looking forward to these hiking boots and I loved the style and color. I ordered my size, but when I put one on, I immediately realized there was not enough toe room. They are being returned.

very comfortable but they broke the second hike I went on such is very disappointing. They are so comfortable and then the metal lace area broke off and now stab my ankle and I didn't know the policy was a year long but figured I'd call to see if I could at least just get them fixed and they said no I'm 5 days passed my year I'm so upset I don't think I will purchase any other items again bad customer service unfortunately

These boots are very lightweight and that is my favorite aspect about them! They are comfortable space wise and not too narrow or wide, I was able to wear wool socks and hike several miles a day in Canada. HOWEVER, the metal that holds the shoelaces hits directly on my ankles and was so so so painful. There were days I would pile on bandaids and double up socks to try and keep my ankles from feeling like they were being stabbed. By the end of my trip, my inner ankles were bruised and had small cuts from the friction. Almost a year later, there are scars. I love everything about these except how painful the inner ankle area is. I cannot believe no one noticed or felt that during the design/QA/QC process.

HOKA please go back to what you do well - the cushioning! These boots feel stiff and flat, like all the other hiking boot brands I avoid. I wore my HOKA Sky Toa's for 3 years summiting over 35 14,000 ft mountains in Colorado. They were my best hiking companions. After trying the Anacapa Mid's for a single 5-mile hike, my feet and joints were just not happy. Please go back to what made your boots special to begin with!

I love hoka shoes. I needed a pair of hiking boots so I purchased my usual size. They arrived, the color was beautiful. Love the purple. The length perfect fit... here's the bummer. The toe box is super narrow. I wasn't able to wear a thicker warmer sock and over time, my feet were screaming. (Just wore them around my house to test them out) So very thankful I didn't wear them on a couple of mile or more hike. Would've been miserable. So bummed to send them back. I should've read the reviews as I guess this is a common complaint.

I bought this boot and it is not waterproof. Water runs right thru the mesh on the foot of boot. Very comfortable if you are hiking only on dry paths.

I bought this pair of boots to do the Camino de Santiago next May. I've practiced in them for a while to get used to them, but the pain in my feet is terrible. I can't get comfortable in them and I'm afraid of injuring myself during the long walk I'll be doing. I'm sad because I had hoped to get a comfortable and safe shoe for the Camino.

I have 3 pairs of Hoka shoes and 1 pair of Hoka boots. The anacapa 2 mid gtx is inferior to the previous Hokas I've purchased. It was made bizarrely and extremely small. I had to return them and will not be buying any more Hokas.

This shoe had such a lack of support it is laughable. A huge gaping hole where my arch is and I've not experienced that with many shoes.

The shoes feel sturdy and quite comfortable when I put it on. However just after one week of wear during my trip to Tokyo, not even in any rain or snow or on any echnical trails, the fabric of the side of the shoes just broke and therefore the waterproof GTX function just became useless. I can't believe this happened as this is not a cheap pair. I really wanted to love this hiking shoe but I am just extremely sad my money got all wasted. I will still wear this shoe but just not for hiking so it's really a big waste of money. I don't know if I can trust Hoka quality anymore after this purchase.

Firstly, I should say I love and have several pairs of Hoka's! However, I am very, very disappointed with the waterproof Anacapa 2 Low GTX. I had truly hoped that I found the perfect shoe for our wet days this season. Sadly, these shoes are extremely uncomfortable. At the end of the day after trying the shoes out in the house, my feet hurt!! Not going to work for me! :-(

I bought these in July after reading several recommendations and they were all wrong. This shoe was extremely uncomfortable for walking around town much less hiking, I ended up going into a shoe store and buying shoes. The toe box is hard and uncomfortable, not what I expected from Hoka's. One plus is Hoka was great about returns.

I have at least 35 pairs of Hokas and they all fit perfectly (except the Gender neutral sizes made for a man's foot). The toe box on this shoe is tight and presses down on my toes and were painful to wear. Would have kept them if the toe box fit like my other Hokas.

The first time I purchased this shoe was in 2021 for a rim-to-rim hike in the Grand Canyon. It was like clouds under my feet. I recommended this shoe to everyone! After 4 years and a countless number of 10 to 20-mile hikes in California, I finally had to buy a new pair. And of course, I wanted to buy my trusty Anacapas again. However, I refuse to put these on my feet again. After only 4 uses, I realized the support just isn't there anymore. By mile10-12, I can feel every rock under my foot and the cushioning is completely flat. I have NEVER felt this level of foot fatigue in the older model. It is sooooo disappointing to see a dependable shoe decline in quality. If you are a long-distance hiker that is accustomed to rough terrain, please look elsewhere.

My original Anacapa GTX were amazing right out of the box. I don't remember having any pain or issues with them at all. Because the reviews on the Anacapa 2 GTX were so mixed I waited until my original Anacapa GTX were too worn out to wear before buying this iteration. Huge disappointment. The toe box is narrower than the original, the heel cap left a dent and blister on my foot. It is super stiff and bulges out from the shoe itself. I tried them for 3 days and they just got worse. Returning today. I wish Hoka would stop changing a good shoe.they did the same thing with the Bondi and now the Anacapa GTX.

I'm disappointed that the foot bed is narrow and the shoe itself runs smaller to the point that my foot feels cramped. I love my original Anacapas and I wish I had bought more if I knew this was going to happen. I guess I will try the Kahas

I wish I read the reviews. I usuall have good luck with Hoka shoes. I ordered on line because it was the only way to get solid black. Very dissappointed in the fit of these hiking boots. I usually have no issues with Hoka but these were so different from right boot to left. The right boot didnt feel right and after a short hike i had a huge blister on the top of my big toe. I love the look of the boot so I am exchanging for the size 9. If I didnt have to pay to ship the return I wouldnt have even tried. Id rather have my money back. If the 9 fits the same I will have to be forced to return. Very dissapointed Hoka!!

I bought these hiking shoes in May 2024 thinking they would be similar to the Anacapa Mid GTX Hiking Boots suitable for winter wear. I just starting wearing them and they are extremely uncomfortable. Very heavy and hurt when I walk. I have tried to wear them numerous times but I finally determined they just will not break in like the boots. I bought the 9.5B same size as my boots but they definitely do not fit the same. They are nothing like the hiking boots. I am sorry I spent a lot of money for something I cannot wear.

The Anacapa 2 Mid GTX were to small. I have order 2 pair of boots previously in in the pass one my regular size 11 and an other pair in 12 to wear a ankle prosthetic. The sizing was correct I have no idea why the sizing has changed drastically over the last year, both previous boots I purchased are no longer in stock. I mean not sold out they don't even manufacture or make anymore. Please get rid of the manufacture and buyers the company is presently using. The product has been ruined and the sizing sucks! Loved Hoka but not any more.

Customer service recommended this shoe because it comes in a wide width. I bought three different styles, and they are all TOO NARROW. When did the hiking shoes start to shrink? I have four pairs that I purchased a few years ago in regular width and they are fine. I think this is a concerning trend, that HOKA is placing value on aesthetics over comfort and quality. Some of us just want a shoe we can hike in comfortably.

This shoe was so comfortable when I put it on, like my other Hoka shoes! I had selected this hiking model because it was advertised as waterproof. I took my dog for a walk on dewy grass, not even standing water, and my socks immediately felt wet. Unfortunately I'll have to return them, as I already have other Hoka shoes for walking on dry terrain.
