These are great shoes. They do run a little wide though.

Nice, light, comfortable hiking shoe. I wear HOKA Speedgoat for most of my hiking, but wanted an alternative with some ankle support and waterproof, so this is a great choice. I needed a half size larger in this model versus the trail runners. Four stars because they are pricey.

The boot is light weight and once I can get it on, it's very comfortable. However, the tongue is attached quite high on the boot without the deep pleats present on my other hiking boots. As a result I find them very difficult to put on and take off, even with the sturdy heel pulls. I would guess that the design improves water resistance. I'm a retired teacher with 2 knee replacements and low back issues I think if I were younger and more flexible I wouldn't have any problems with the boots.

Very comfortable right from the box. Toe box is roomy enough for feet to expand on a warm day.

I wanted to love this shoe. I love the color and style. But, unfortunately, these shoes felt narrow. So, sadly, I am sending them back. I love Hokas, and will continue my search for the best Hoka for me.

I bought Anacapa 2 Mid GTX and the Mid Breeze version as well as Trail Code GTX . Love the colors of all three. The trail code did not have any toe protection whatsoever, so they were out of the race. I took the Anacapas on test hikes. I walked in some snow and the GTX kept my feet dry. Both pairs are comfortable at first even though I was hoping for a bit more cushion. About mile 5 hot spots started to develop on the side of both my heels even though I was wearing quality wool socks. After having the same experience with both pairs: blisters on the same spots of the in-side of my heels I realized that it is not just one pair issue, so I ended up returning them all.

Great fit, comfort, and features. I don't know what the sky looks like where these are made, but these shoes are purple. Fluorescent light, incandescent light, daylight...purple.

I think these Hokas look pretty cool and I love the loop at the back of the heel to help me get them on. However, I'm surprised that these Anacapas don't feel like they have any arch support and they aren't nearly as soft and cushioned as some of my other Hokas. I'm going to add some Superfeet insoles and consider keeping them, but it seems for the price, they should be more cushy and supportive straight out of the box.

I'm loving how these shoes provide stability to the ankles while still being lightweight and having a decently roomy toe box. The larger sole adds to the stability, and they fit perfectlyI wear a standard size 8. I also use removable lifts for arch support. I usually hike a few miles on moderate terrain. However, I do have some concerns about the durability of the blown rubber in the middle of the sole.

Love how comfortable these feel right out of the box, however, be aware- they did give me blisters on my first 3 hikes with them thus far. On a positive note- they are waterproof! Tested in the Washington rain and through a few stream crossings. Super grippy! Wore in Arizona for a few hikes last week, and they get pretty warm.

I work for the postal service and have a walking route. I walk 10-12 miles a day plus some driving, and then go and help on other routes. So I am on my feet for atleast 12-13 hours a day. I love the boot tie instead of just regular tennis shoe tie. Very comfortable and are the perfect ankle height so my ankles don't get cold but perfect for how I do my everyday.

These "boots" are as comfortable as any athletic shoe but have the advantage of some ankle support. Last summer I found hiking in athletic shoes to be so much more comfortable than hiking boots. I think these will be the perfect compromise between stiff boots and athletic shoes. I did think they are little tighter on my feet than my other Hokas but when I tried a half size up my foot slid around in the larger size.

I've had 4 pairs of anacapa but differing styles. I got the gore Tex for winter rain but the shoe feels odd. It's not as light weight as the other ones and not as much cushioning so my feet hurt.

I bought these for my law enforcement job. I have high arches; and these lacked the arch support. I normally don't wear wide shoes. These boots run narrow; I would have to exchange for wide. These boots do have good heel support and cushion in toe box.

I bought these for rainy days and hikes for my 2 month trip to Italy and Greece. I also brought an old pair of runners to be my primary shoe for the trip. By the end of the first month the material behind the heel had worn through all the way to the foam backing on both shoes. I was very shocked as I've never had a pair of shoes wear through like that with such little use. I sent them back and am just waiting for LLBean to process the return. The rest of the shoe is perfectly fine - the fit was normal, the Gore-tex kept my feel dry, and the traction was great. Nice color, too. Pretty bummed.

Never have I needed to, 'break-in' my Hoka's, I own over ten different pairs/styles (CliftonL, Stinson7, Bondi8, SkywardX) however these,I may have to. Hoka nailed it with the METEOR / COSMIC SKY color, I absolutely LOVE IT! The sides and lower toe box are tight, they're too flat and too stiff. I'm in my '50s, I put in 13-17,000 steps daily through rough terrain, bipolar Michigan weather and standing on cement in a cramped warehouse. The shoes have great traction but what good are they if I can't wear them 3 hours into my shift without killing my feet? The round shoe laces are a no-go as well, constantly retieing them. I haven't decided if I want to keep them, I will try them with a thinner toe sock (when is Hoka going to make runner's toe socks?) then decide. If they were a little more, SkywardX plush/arch support, they'd be perfect imo. Thank you Hoka, for a great return policy, I'll keep trying.

I bought these for the comfort and features. I love them! Unfortunately, it's been less than a year and I've barely worn them and both laces started unraveling and one broke. I contacted Hoka. They offered NO assistance and said to get replacement laces online! Be aware that there is no customer support and assistance. At this price point, this is very disappointing and wrong.

Depending on the socks I wear, my toes feel cramped. But if I ordered a half size up they would be too big probably. I wouldn't buy again.

I got these shoes in August of 2023 for a trip to Europe, and have continued to wear them for hiking and walking with our dog. I'm not a trail runner or anything close to an athlete, and I have to say these shoes have not held up to the Hoka expectations. While the upper of the shoe has held up, the outsole is already crumbling. Really disappointing that the treads of the vibram are now peeling off after only a little over a year. The warranty is only a year long so unfortunately I'll have to pay for a new pair of shoes. I did love them initially, they are comfortable and the goretex is perfect on rainy days. It is unfortunate that the quality is not up to par as I would have expected to get at least 2-3 years of wear from an outdoor product at this price point. I am debating whether or not to purchase a pair of Hoka's again after my experience.

Man, these are COOL, and HEAVY! I love the brand, but oh my good gracious these are hefty. Super cute, love the color, very comfortable, could have worn them right out of the box and into the soggy horizon, but alas they were just too damned heavy for me.
