These shoes are very comfortable. However I don't use them but very seldomly because of a major flaw. There is a clicking sound at every step. This is very annoying when trying to enjoy nature while hiking. This disturbs the peace so much that I will not wear them with anyone else and if I had anything else or the money to get a different shoe I would. I figured they just needed broken in but after a long time and admittedly not many miles due to them being so annoying to wear the sound just never went away. Its just a shame that a shoe so great can be so annoying that it makes me never use it. Im supposed to be enjoying nature while hiking not listening to my shoes.

Possibly one of the worst hiking shoes I have ever TRIED to wear. The tongue on both shoes kept sliding off to the side and I was constantly having to readjust them. The shoes were extremely unsteady on evden the smoothest of surfaces. The flat, heelless construction of the sole definitely contributed to the issue. Defnititly would ANOT recommend.

Clicking noise when I walked. Lighter weight, good traction, but obnoxious noise when I walked.

After extensive research, I bought these shoes for travelling South America, for casual wear and day hikes. After about 5 weeks they began wearing out in the heel dip, and have drastically degraded since, to the point where the plastic is showing through the padding. Reading the reviews, I'm clearly not alone. I've had to ditch them and buy another pair of shoes (as have many other travellers I've met out here who owned hokas). Sadly Hoka won't offer a refund and I have no way of posting them back to the UK in an affordable manner.

I am a physician and Had the pair for close to 2 years now. very comfortable and pretty. I ve wore as a daily hospital-walking shoe for maybe 20-30 times in 2 years. both shoes developed a tear on the edge of the fabric the same spot bilaterally. clearly a defect. I was not expecting such fragility from a GoreTex shoe.

I have two other types of Hoka shoes, the Winston9 and the Bondi8, both fit in an identical manner and feel true size with a spacious toe box. I wear size 14 regular width and the Anacapa2 runs far too narrow in the toe box, by at least 1/2 size. As soon as I tried these on I knew they would need to be returned. I also thought I I wouldn't care what they look like so long as they are comfortable and keep my feet dry on wet trails; I'm no foot fashionista. Pulling them out of the box; F-U-GLY ain't got no alibi! I can't provide an accurate rating for comfort but one star on the looks-

Unlike the original Aanacapa, the v2 of this shoe is designed for high volume feet. If you have normal feet you'll find it too big through the body of the foot and it will be difficult to get a good heel lock. I do not understand why shoe companies feel the need to change shoe sizing when redesigning a shoe. If you want to create a shoe for a different size foot, make it a new model.

These shoes fit my husband properly in the length at 12.5, however the sewn interior that would touch to the top side of the foot was sharp and protruding. Very painful to wear. And he doesn’t have thick feet, this is a construction flaw.

After wearing and loving more than a dozen Hoka shoes in Size 10D, I order the ANACAPA 2 LOW GTX in the same size. They were way too big, both length and width. I decided to visit a store and check out a 9.5. This size also felt big, but the clerk added a pad under the insoles, and the fit was a little better. I purchased them and wore them around the house for a few hours. They still felt a little big, but what surprised me was how they felt when I stepped. I have a bad right foot, and Hoka is the first brand that made me feel comfortable walking. These new shoes did not add that smooth role to my pace. Instead, it felt like my toes were hitting too hard. Maybe it's the pad inserts, but they don't fit without them. Back to the store for a return.

These were stiff, wide and gave me blisters. Had to return. Disappointing because the previous pair were great!

Well I'll be returning them. These shoes are my second pair. First I loved. This new one squeaks pops and not comfortable at all. Will be returning and buying the original I had from a few years ago.
