These shoes run one whole size large for some strange reason. I wear mens US 10.5 for HOKA Speed Goat and had to go to US 9.5 for these. Also, felt a bit wider than normal. So you may run into sizing issues relative to other HOKAs you may own. That said, super comfortable. Don't care if they wear out faster than more rugged hiking shoes that are heavier and that use leather. I want my feet to be happy and comfortable on long hikes. These are best for day hikes with a relatively light pack and well-worn/hard trails.

Very comfortable, will seee how they hold up over time. These are being used for urban trails. I still plan on using my Salomon's for more difficult trails.

Other sizes were a bit to big. Usually wear at least a 9 in men’s. After downsizing 3 x went to this 8.5 and fits perfect.

Bought these shoes to use on a pool deck. The waterproofing works like it says it should work. Your feet will probably sweat but that’s the price to pay for not having dripping socks. I would buy these again for sure.

13s were too small, 14 were way too big. My feeling is that if you had a 13.5 it would have worked

I didn't like the fit of the Anacapa1, but the Anacapa 2 fits me perfect. I prefer a slightly plush insole because of past knee injuries and I really enjoy the durability of the virbram tread.

Fits true to size and perfect width. I bought these shoes because they are waterproof and that was no joke here. It kept my feet dry. Note that because the shoes don't breath, your feet will sweat but at least they will not be wet from water. A good purchase overall.

I own multiple pairs of Hoka sneaker models. I figured why not try the their hiking shoes. Again not disappointed one bit. Zero break in period. Open the box and go!!!

I have held back in buying goretex version of Hoka shoes for a while because of the mixed review. I finally took the plunge. On first try, they were stiff, both the sole and the upper, unlike the typical Hoka. However, that is to be expected with goretex products. After wearing it for a few times, they soften up a bit. The stiffness is something I will gladly accept because they are waterproof.
So if you return them after the first try, then I feel like you are missing out.

This is my 2nd pair. This is a good gore tex shoe but does need a bit of breaking in. On this pair there is a small bit of missing glue on the over molding, but I will still probably wear the shoes out before it's an issue. I have to use the heel lock lacing trick on all Hoka shoes, the laces are long enough but the tongue is kinda not. I often have to stop mid lacing to bring all the laces to the front. Kind of bothersome if you are a heel lock person like me.
