This is my first pair of Hokas and I am impressed! They are lightweight yet offer plenty of support even for a low-top hiking shoe. The sole is super comfortable and the grip on the trail is great for traversing uneven and slippery surfaces. I test them out on a section of the AT and they feel fantastic. Time will tell about durability, but so far, I am enjoying them.

Bought these right before a trip to Sedona, AZ and we spent many full days on our feet, walking, hiking, visiting museums where there was a lot of just standing, and then even shopping, and they felt as good at the end of the day as they did putting them on in the morning.

I am 60 years old and have Morton's Neuroma in my left foot. I needed a pair of shoes that could be used for everyday walking and could serve as hiking shoes. For more than two weeks, I walked on uneven cobblestone roads in Europe. The Anacapas were stable and cushioned enough that the cobble stones didn't bother my foot after many miles of walking each day. The vibratim soles offered sufficient grip on the wet road too. The next trial was a 5 mile hike with a 2000ft elevation gain over very irregular terriain with large rocks, puddles and 3 inches of slushy snow. The Gortex outer kept my feet dry and the stiff soles maintained stability on both steep uphill and downhill pitches. I had my doubts that this shoe would hold up so well on this hike and was thrilled when the shoes proved me wrong. The stable yet cushioned soles kept the nerve in my foot from flaring up so I was able to entire all of the long hikes and walks. I will echo some of the other comments about running large. Normally I would wear a size 10 and would get 2E width for added room in the toebox. (I had to returen the 10 2Es for a 9.5 which worked great). After one month of use including mud and plenty of irregular surfaces, the shoes still look brand new.

Toe box is wide, a welcomed feeling. The shoe is wide-soled making it difficult to turn an ankle.

I have numerous styles of Hoka shoes so this is one of the newest one I have. It's a great shoe with leather and a Vibram sole. Better shoe laces and should be great for winter.

Very comfortable, breathe well for a waterproof shoe. Fit is good, a little tad narrower in the toe box than my Cliftons, though. Also needed a half size smaller than the Clifton.

Comfortable walking or hiking shoes. Purchased these to replace an older pair of low top Vasque hiking boots; none of their more recent products are as comfortable. These didn’t disappoint. Comfortable lacing and hiking in with no pinch points.

Went on a nice long hike today after purchasing these and they're nice and sturdy. Feet hurt a little from tying them super tight and having them being brand new, I assume they need some time to break in. I haven't tested the waterproof but if it's goretex I'm sure they're great.
