So far I been using my boots for a week and they are really good. Comfort and grip are awesome. Let's see if they survive a mail carrier's life.

This is my first time buying Hoka and I am very impressed with the hiking boot they have made. I am a delivery driver and these make the world of difference

The Hoka hiking shoes that I bought are great, but the laces were a very poor quality and broke within two weeks. It appears they were in effect cut by the hooks at the top of the lacing pattern.
I would be happy to pay a premium for the best laces possible instead of the defective ones that came with the shoes

I am a correctional officer and I prefer to wear hiking boots at my job over tactical boots/boots in general. The cushion and support of hiking boots helps out with the long hours of being on my feet. I had the first gen before getting these ones and I enjoyed them. I had a few minor flaws to them, but luckily I was able to exchange them everytime at the nearest store (Scheels) where I purchased them. The first gen to me was a bit more cushioned and it gave me the feeling that my foot rocked when I walked which I like I don't mind it. The only issue I had with the first gen is the toe box seemed a little too narrow for my feet and unfortunately the boots weren't made in a wide version. These gen 2 boots to me don't have that rocking motion. There isn't as much cushion to these ones compared to the 1st gen. Thats no issue to me though these boots still feel amazing on my feet and provide the support and comfort I need all shift. They look and feel great. They almost look like I'm just wearing a sneaker at times. I usually run between a 9 and 9.5 and the 9's felt good. I know I like the extra toe room so I went with the 9.5 and they feel perfect. My feet so far have yet to feel overly hot in these boots which is great. Very good boots and I am satisfied with the purchase and upgrade from the 1st gen.

I was looking for a lightweight waterproof boot with a running shoe feel, the most padding around the ankle, and the plushest feel...looking for a waterproof boot that was equivalent to the Hoka Bondi 8. Since the Hoka Bondi 8, I own in a wide size, I was hesitant to try another Hoka that wasn't wide, since most other models are too narrow. I tried nine different highly-rated waterproof hiking boots before I went back to Hoka who said to give the Anacapa 2 Mid GTX a try since they do run a bit wider in the toe box area. I decided to give them a try since they have free returns and a 30-day guarantee (60 days for HOKA Members). The boots felt very comfortable right out of the box, and after wearing them for about one month, I have been happy with the fit and feel of the boots.

I deliver for Amazon and just wore them for an 11 hour shift (9:30am-8:30pm). Walked around 12 miles in intermittent pouring rain. Through tall & short grass, mud, shallow puddles, steep graded slopes both on concrete and on grass these boots surpassed all expectations I had made while deciding on my purchase. They kept my feet dry the whole time (pants/shirt/vest were soaking wet but my feet were the only dry part. Not only did they keep my feet dry, I had no hot spots on my feet got great traction, and not once had any foot pain from fatigue. The only gripe I have is that the ankle support is lacking - sole reason being that it’s mid height and I’m used to higher boots. All in all 10/10- excellent product!

Good shoe for support of foot and ankle. I was advised to consider a wider shoe because they can run narrow but I am satisfied with purchase.

I wore these for law enforcement work for about a year. They were very comfortable and I only ended up having to replace them due to holes burned in the toe.

I have been running in Hoka's for years and was unsure about a Hoka for hiking. Was I wrong! I have had numerous styles and brands and these are by far the most comfortable. I have not yet spent a day in the pouring rain with them so I cannot address the dryness. They are supportive, surefooted and comfortable. A home run.

Excellent shoe! This is my second pair. I am a State Trooper and these are the most comfortable shoes I have wore in my lifetime. I got three years out of the first pair and wore the soles off them. The first pair was still waterproof when stopped wearing them. My only complaint is some of the material on the sides will fade and turn greenish looking. The tongue turned purple from sun exposure.

I've had severe pain in my feet for a long time. As a kid I had very flat feet with no arch at all. I was a competitive powerlifter for almost 40 years and very heavy squats and leg workouts for all those caused serious damage to my feet. These HOKA HIGHTOPS ARE INCREDIBLE. I feel no pain at all when I wear these HOKA HIGHTOPS. The most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

I like the fit of the mid-size better than the full side boot

This is the 3rd year in a row walking the Camino Frances - Camino Santiago in Spain wearing Hoka Trail shoes.
600 miles on the Camino in this pair in 2025 - average of 20 miles a day!
Over 1700 miles in the last 3 years on the Camino wearing Hokas!
The trail shoes are great for every surface and the mid height in the back provides great ankle support over uneven hiking surfaces.
A wide size (wide toe box) on hiking shoes would be desirable for long distance trail walking.

I was looking for waterproof, high top, hiking style boot for work. Super lite and comfortable. I wear orthotic insole that work well also.

I have been wearing my boots all winter long. As comfortable as Hoka''s tennis shoes, water proof, excellent. The did not have my size in women so I bought the men's, the men's are more sturdy

I bought the Hoka Anacapa shoes for everyday wear. I work on my feet all day and these Hokas have been very comfortable! I also enjoy hiking outdoors on trails and these Hokas have excellent grip on a variety of surfaces. They're good in snow too, but be sure to wear a good pair of wool socks as the material gets cold in winter weather.

And protective. It plows through my very rugged speed hiking trail, where I go about 1200 ft. up in a little over 1.6 miles and back down. I'm putting in some of my best times and the shoes are so comfortable and protective. I'm even jogging down some very rugged parts that I usually go slower, so I don't trip-slip-fall. They are my #1 trail shoe right now and I have had the Mafate's and Speedgoats and the Anacapa Breeze Low and like them all, but this Mid is my favorite right now.

I have weak ankles from injuries sustained in the military. The Anacapa Mid GTX is the only shoe to provide consistent relief. While I also have the Kaha boot and find it good for my ankles, the Anacapa is the best for support and relief. (I have tried a lot of different shoes including Salomon, Arcteryx, Ecco.)
