This is my second pair of Hoka hiking. I loved the previous and have worn them out hiking over the last seven years. They were a nice "mud" color so they could get a little muddy without needing a full wash. My new pair is great for hiking but they are light beige. They got muddy last week and needed a full wash.

I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes don't totally eliminate the pain but they certainly help relieve the pain.

3rd Pair of Hoka's. Feels Great. Wears very Comfortable. Instep a Little tight. Have to wear thicker socks, or a Least non Silky socks.

Boot is very comfortable, lightweight and waterproof. I have planar fasciitis and these boots are perfect as I walk most of the time I'm at work.

Fit in a 14 2E Brooks Beast daily sneaker and this Hoka shoe in 14 D fits excellent. Lots of toe room and support.

Usually a Brooks Beast 14 2E and fit the size 14 Medium in this. Toe Box is a tad narrow, but i fit fine no rubs.

Nice fit. VERY comfortable. Cool looking. Expensive! But I used Bean Bucks and a gift card. :-)

I have been searching for a comfortable waterproof lightweight hiking boot—this is it! The men's 8.5 medium fits my women's 9.5 wide, high-arched foot, wide toebox but sleek profile. The mid-high shaft and flexible collar fit snugly, as does the midfoot. Foot feels very secure. The lace is rather thin, so I hope it lasts ok.
I'd also recommend:
Merrill, Dansko, Birkenstock.

I use them for work in construction. I hope they hold up better than the first pair I bought as they only lasted six months.

The lacing pattern really helps with torsional stability.

I have tried all kinds of inserts and shoes and still had foot pain. So far wearing these shoes have caused no pain while providing ankle support. I work at the local airport on the ramp which can be rough on your feet. I am grateful and will buy more in the future.

I'm surprised! I thought the platform to be spendy and overpriced, but this model is a top quality build, and exceptionally comfortable. I've only been wearing them a couple weeks, so I can't speak to the longevity of the materials just yet. If they last a year, I'd say they were a fair buy at the price, but the longer they go after that, I'd say they were a deal. I'm hoping, but we'll see if the stitching etc, can stand the test of time. I'm literally in these shoes 16 hours a day and so far are the most comfortable shoe I've owned in many years....

you need to emphasize the heel cushion you added. it is very comfortable and supportive. i have many pairs of hokas and this is the best one. i have worn them for a week and they are very comfortable. the heel cushion makes a big difference.
thanks

Yes, I suffer from terrible diabetic neuropathy, and I could barely, stand the pain at night. I work in a warehouse so I'm constantly on my feet. I started wearing these and the change is unbelievable. My legs don't hurt at night. My legs aren't as tired during the day. I will definitely buy another pair.
I didn't think I would like the hiking style, but I love the way they look too. They go just right with blue jeans and a night out.

All in all a great fit for semi casual hikers. Not really technical hikers per se but very comfort and great on most trails. I had to fiddle with the lacing a bit and add sock liners for secure fit, but that is mostly due to having narrowish feet. Seem to be waterproof in light rain, but have not worn in extensive rain. Overall pleased for travel hiking.

No doubt the improvements made in the Anacapa 2 Mid are significant. In fact so much that I purchased a second pair. Quality boot - highly recommended without reservations.

Having purchased/worn Kaha and Anacapa hikers forever, the latest model Anacapa 2 are a significant improvement over the earlier model. i.e inner & heel pull on padding , tongue loop for laces, rounded toe area, overall softer spring stepping. Highly recommended w/o reservations. Purchase new blue and black boots

-Gortex version, recommend going up a half size.
-Very comfortable, especially around the ankle.
-only dislike is with the lacing loop in the tongue being above the first set of metal lace anchors, but that's just being picky because overall this is an excellent hiking boot.

I lovr these shoes and have purchased many over the years. However, the shoelaces tear and wear out before the shoes are past their useful life. I would recommend the Company provide a second pair of laces with each purchase.
