Love the design/shape of this tote! The only negative is that it has a really bad musty smell.

The carry tote has several pockets, making it rather handy. However, I wish it had a top flap or zipper that closed to keep things from easily falling out.

A solid and reliable tote. The structure and strength of canvas are great, and the pockets (interior mesh, two zip, and exterior) are helpful. The thread on the leather handles is starting to come undone, after a month of use.

convenient and sturdy bag. great for a laptop and daily work needs. pretty sure this would work great for my knitting too!

I purchased the Stonington Daily Tote mainly for travel. The Tote bag is large with deep pockets to carry all my stuff. It has smaller zipped pockets as well. Also, side pockets for water, mini umbrella, etc. It meet my needs. However, I would like a closure at the top because it hangs open. Either a magnetic closure or a zipper would be perfect. Also, the shoulder straps would be nicer if a bit longer and maybe a bit stronger, they are canvas and feel a little flimsy. The smaller handles are great. They feel strong and secure.

Awesome Bag. A nice roomy well designed bag. Only thing LLBean could do better is leather handles would make bag more professional looking.

A perfect way to take my keyboard device, pen and paper notebook too, manuscript folder and all the personal things that follow me everywhere. The compartments are well designed for real use, the long strap lets me have my hand free to get set up, and the short handles make it manageable next to my chair in a class or meeting, such a perfect design -- but for two little things -- the bottom isn't stiff to sit flat on the floor, so it falls over without something heavy in the bottom of it. (It might get better with age) and second, I am very short, so I can't carry it by the cool leather handles. It is bigger than I expected, but the measurements noted are correct and it does hold a laptop.

Love this tore! Be glad when it gets broken in. It's really stiff right now. Have considered different ways to break it in and open to suggestions. Thought of running over it with my car a few times

Nice bag, black color shows scuffs significantly more than I'd like.

Attractive and well-designed but returned because it didn't quite fit the needs of the person I gifted it to.

I love this bag! So many pockets to fit all of my things and it has really strong straps. I wish it had a zipper and the option to wear it cross-body, but otherwise I'm very happy with it.

This bag is very well made, but I found it to be an odd side to wear over the shoulder. An inch shorter and a little wider would make it perfect. I returned it.

This tote is very attractive and spacious. External pockets are so important, and this bag has 3 of them. I wish there was a "magnetic close" cell phone pocket on the outside of the bag.

Sturdy bag, perfect for university or work. Shoulder straps are not the most comfortable, and would love a way to close the top-- a magnetic button perhaps? Burgundy color with brown leather is beautiful.

I love this bag because it sits upright on its own, is made from a very durable material, and has plenty of pockets to organize items of various sizes. Some reviewers have noted that it will not accommodate a laptop and that it's narrower at the bottom than at the top. The first concern does not bother me as I didn't purchase the tote to carry a laptop, but depending on the size of the laptop, that is a valid concern. On the second concern, I actually like the shape because it allows me to easily rummage through the items that are stored in the main compartment without having to pull everything out. The only reasons I did not give this item five stars is that it does not allow for monograms, and I wish that the shoulder straps either snapped off or could be easily stowed away. The good news is that the straps do not touch the ground when the tote is upright, but I don't always use shoulder straps, and when I don't, they're in the way.

I use this as an every day bag fitting a small purse and other things in. It has a ton of features inside and out, but it would be perfect for airline travel if it had a zipper. Still looking for that elusive perfect travel bag.

I absolutely love this bag. I bought it to be my new teacher bag for the 2023-2024 school year. I am obsessed with it. It has so many pockets and keeps my laptop and my materials all organized. One thing I suggest to LLBean is to remove the mesh material as pockets. I am on my 2nd bag and the mesh is all ripped...its not durable.

This is very nice but it seems a bit smaller than the dimensions offered. A bit overpriced for what you get but it will do what I need it to do. Hold papers and notebooks.

Fabric and structure is good, but smaller than I thought.

This is a great bag! Tons of pockets and tall for my computer. My only complaint is how skinny it is and it is wider at top than the bottom. I am a symmetrical person and this bothers me.

I wish the top had a closure of some type. I like all the many pockets .

Well made, attractive, and the pockets and handles are great. However, the weather-resistant fabric is of no help when there is weather, because it has an open top - the bag needs a top zipper/flap, something. Also, when fully loaded the bag weighs a bit and the shoulder strap is not padded, not adjustable, and uncomfortable. All in all, if you need a bag that doesn't protect its contents in the rain, and you don't intend to use the shoulder strap, it's a great bag.

I love the bag however, the front pockets are stiff and narrow. It can still hold stuff but scratches reaching in.
