I love this Stonington Tote bag -- it has all the pockets and zippers that I need and like. Also, it is the second one I have bought from LL Bean. I keep one for my "Go-bag" with enough medications, etc., for up to a three weeks evacuation. And now I have an extra one for other purposes. It's the bag I have always wanted.

I got the gray/black variation because it was on sale and I needed a spring work bag. Full disclosure: I didn't read the full description and I was so blown away by the bag's thoughtful design. My #1 obsession is the top inside zippered pocket that is felt lined for glasses and sunglasses. It's so thoughtful and useful why don't all my bags have this?!? #2 I love the extra shoulder straps. I usually use the bag as a handheld tote but when hauling two laptops and other gear to the office the long straps are super handy when the bag gets heavy. #3 The two tall inside pockets. I put a slim water bottle in the solid pocket and I put reusable shopping bags in the mesh pocket. Let's not forget the outside pockets #4 obsession: The two smaller side by side front pockets are perfect when you have two iPhones like me one for the personal phone and the other for the work phone. Extra bonus if you have a cute phone dangle like me. I let it hang out the top of the pocket to give the bag some personality! #5 I throw my keys into the larger outside pocket. It never gets lost and is always handy. #6 This is also a great sideline coach's bag. With the tall bucket shape you can fit 4-5 water bottles, a clipboard, bandaids, extra mouthguards (I coach youth rugby) and your own stuff (wallet, phones, sunglasses, etc) PLUS room for extra stuff. I love this bag so much, I'm going to get another one at full price that matches my brown Birkenstocks. I'm having a hard time deciding between the green one (the natural leather handles are amazing) or the camel one (the darker brown handles would match my Birks more). What are you waiting for?!? Built well and functions very nicely. I can throw quite a number of things in it and head out. Several pockets with one big one for the majority of stuff I carry. It would be great to have a zippered closure.

I bought this for a work tote to carry my computer. It is perfect. Lots of storage and comfortable to carry. Very sturdy. Recommend

I'm loving this bag. It's very durable and holds its shape well. The drawback is that it doesn't flex much if you need to add additional items - the space you get is what you get. As an everyday work/day bag it's great.

This attractive bag has enough space to carry all your items. For all my trips I forward my suitcase and use this carry-on for all my daily needs.

Great assortment of pockets. It's sturdy and I think it looks great. It's handy to grab for a day, out and about.

I have been bringing this bag with me everywhere for the last year. I bought it in November 2024 and it looks just as good as it did when I bought it. I keep my laptop in it, and also a small purse, as well as daily work essentials. If I'm stopping at a store on my way home, I'll pull the purse out for shopping. I love the strap length. I'm 5'2" and it isn't too long. Leather handles are also great, as are all the pockets. My only negative is that the upper edge curls in just a bit even if that upper pocket is empty. It doesn't impact use or aesthetics, really, it just annoys me a little. I don't need to buy another because this one is doing great, but when I wear it out, I'll replace it with the same! I've never said that about any other work tote.

This canvas tote is exceptionally well-made and durable with many pockets to hold a variety of articles.

Its my daughter's favorite bad, now. Loves it! She put everthing in it like she had found a new home.

I purchased this bag in black, for toting my things to my volunteer job. It holds my computer, iPad, glasses and anything else I need. I just wish it was was a little wider to get my lunch in. I love all of the pockets.

I got this bag for my husband and he loves it! It has plenty storage room for work office and the tablet, several compartments inside the bag and is a heavy duty canvas with handles and straps.

I use this bag for work and I absolutely love it. It has more than enough pockets and space for all my stuff including my water bottle. It stands up easily on the floor without tipping over. It always seems quite rugged so I am expecting to get great use out of it.

Perfect for holding my things and keeping them separate. I have room for my water bottle, emergency reusable bags, pen pouch, notebooks, work laptop when necessary, and so much more. The only way it could be better is if they ever made a similar one that is a cross body bag.

I'm a health care professional & carry a lot of doo-dads to work. The outside pockets have a nice amount of tightness so my cell phone & keys don't fall out if the bag falls on its side. There's so many pockets inside, too. I've never had a bag with so many places to keep all my things. The short handles are made nicely. The long handles rest nicely on my shoulder. I got it on a Two-a-Day markdown & used Bean Bucks, making the cost reasonable. I highly recommend this product.

A lot of pockets and room for your essentials can you make them very easy to find

Well made- carries a multitude of items. Bought for my daughter who travels between schools. It will be very useful as it can even hold water bottles, laptop, pens, keys, etc.! It should last for a very long time. Thank you!!!

I first bought this bag in Khaki, but a month later while browsing the L.L.Bean website, I noticed it was available in my favorite greenso of course, I had to exchange it. I needed a tote for teaching that could hold my laptop, iPad, coffee mug, water bottle, and other essentials, and this bag turned out to be perfect. It has dedicated compartments for my laptop and iPad, plus two great pockets for my mug and bottle, along with plenty of space for everything else. I'm obsessed with the Thyme colorit's my favorite shade of green, and most of my L.L.Bean items are in this color, so I'm thrilled to have it in this bag too. The only thing is that I noticed a price difference: the online price was about $20 higher than the tag on the bag. I don't know, I'll be reaching out to customer support about that, but aside from this, it's truly a fantastic bag for both work and school. I absolutely love it!

I bought this bag to bring my laptop and files back and forth from home to work. I like the internal waterbottle holders. I was afraid the shoulder straps were going to be too long but they feel great while using them. I like the leather handles for holding when in more formal situations. Overall, great bag. I'm very happy with my purchase.
