The socks were not, by my standards "midweight" compared to my Wigwam's they are lightweight. Did not like being billed for the return. I am not satisfied as in the distant past.

Every year the cresta "midweight" socks get lighter & lighter in weight
and the toe seam in this color does not match.
They used to be the only socks I would wear all winter...will need to find something else form now on......

I washed the socks with woolite and cold water, when hanging up to dry they have a really foul order like turpentine.

I have purchased many pairs of the Cresta hiking socks over the years. I purchased a pair of these in November of 2021. After the first washing they were covered in pilling. They now look like fuzzy socks not Cresta socks. I have several pairs of these that are around 10 years old and they look better than the new ones. Please go back to how you were making them before. It was a great product and didn't need changing, especially for the worse.

The socks look to be warm, but the part of the sock that fits the leg was too tight for my husband. They were also too tight for me. If it had been looser, the socks could have been worn by one of us. My husband has several pairs of the Ragg Wool socks that he really liked, but each pair wore out in the heel.

Initially I liked these socks, but then parts of the socks started to get thin, a kind of thread failure. See attached photo. These are hiking socks, so I expected that they would be tougher. I also expected that LL Bean would stand behind their product, but I just left the store because would not credit toward something else. I don't think these socks meet the quality standard of LL Bean. However, maybe LL Bean's quality standard is now lower.

These were "large unisex". Silly me. That means large men's. I gave them to my husband.

These socks run small and tight. After washing them, they just got smaller and tighter.

I bought these because they were listed as midweight. To me they appeared to be light weight. The socks fit nice and were comfortable but were not as heavy as I expected compared to others I have bought.

I have been wearing these socks for over 20 years. Last year, I bought 2 pairs for $30.This year, one pair is $20.They show you 2 socks in the picture just like they used to show you 2 pairs. This is my last purchase. They are so thin that they do not keep your feet warm. They do not even feel like they have any wool in them. I can compare them to the same socks that have been purchased in the past and you can visibly see the difference before you even put them on. Time to move on and find a quality wool sock. I wouldn't mind paying $20 a pair for a quality product.

I have bought these socks (XL) many times from LL Bean because of the fit and they last. In the past the XL has always comfortable fit my size 13 EE foot. But this latest pair was not true to size. The fit and material do not match up to the quality that they had in the past. I was very disappointed.

Hi,
I was fully expecting these socks to be like the blue ones you used to sell. They feel just as nice and fit just as well. BUT: after wearing them three times, the stitching at the toes developed a big hole!! The stitching is done very loosely. I also have a blue pair that I haven't worn yet. I fear the same thing may happen.
