The sock is comfortable fit around the foot. The sock is way too tight around the ankle and leg. I am not a big guy. I will not buy these again.

The foot and toe area of these socks fit perfectly and feel great. The problem is the elastic, it's way too tight, leaving compression marks almost immediately, but I have slim legs & ordered a size large. Not bothering sizing up because it's not worth the inconvenience. On top of that, returns aren't simple: L.L.Bean makes you print a label, but most people don't own printers anymore thanks to the ink racket. QR return codes are a must. I have to go to UPS and pay $6.50 to send them back. For socks, this is unacceptable. Due to this and various other online snafus across the board, I'm officially done online shopping for the rest of 2025.

Good for large feet only. I like them and they wash well. But either I'll only wear them to bed or will give them to my husband. They are too large for my women's size 8 feet.

Socks are falling down all the time and have to pull them constantly.

I followed the size chart for men's 11 1/2 wide which indicated Large the socks were too large and appeared to not be contoured for my foot. The quality of the fabric otherwise appeared good

I've been buying this sock for decades and loved them. Now you made them less thinner without changing name. I bought multiple with no warning from you. I expect better from you.

I wore these twice and never walked around the house in just my socks, and already have a hole in the heel!! Otherwise, they seemed like great socks

Great wool socks! Unfortunately, I didn't notice they are unisex until they arrived. They are way too big for my slender foot. (I wear a 8.5 shoe, 5'5", 130 lbs.) These fit me like a man's sock. Will be donating them to a homeless clothing drive.

The size chart says they fit size 6-9 ladies (med). I wear 7 1/2 - 8 size shoe. They were too large. The heel comes up to my ankle if I pull them up snugly. If not, then there is bulkiness in the shoe. The small size would probably have fit better. Washed one pair they didn't shrink enough. LLBean took them back with their 100% guarantee policy.

The older style was a lot nicer. These pill and they are in no way as nice looking. I quit buying them after they changed styles.

I love bean socks . But last years cresta had more cushion on the mid weight than this years. A little disappointed

Don't fit... Bought for my foot size but, runs big. Can't wear doesn't fit advertised size.

I bought 5 pairs of these socks for wearing to work. The socks were really nice right out of the package, but after washing the sizes are all over the place. Two of the pairs after washing are roughly the same size, one pair is a little bigger, and another is much bigger. The other pair felted after washing and shrunk up a lot. They were all washed/dried the same way. They are still ok for wearing to work, but I don't wear them hiking because they move around the foot too much.

I don't know if they changed their suppliers but they are not good quality.. The ones I bought over 4 years ago are just now getting thin in the heal and toe. the ones I bought a few months back are all ready to break through on the heal and toes...so the quality is inferior compared to the ones I bought 4 years ago, Will not purchase them again and I do not recommend them at all, not worth the high price

Thought I was buying 100% wool socks, but not so. Would like these to have been made from 100% wool, for better fit, breathability, and warmth.

My wife gave me several pair for Xmas to replace some I have owned for over 20 years and I was very excited to get them. However, my excitement turned to dismay when I began to wear them, both the lightweight AND the mid-weight. I wear a size 12.5-13 shoe and the XL in both socks are just too small, too tight, and they don't come up my leg anywhere nearly enough and feel almost as though I'm wearing "golf" socks. I was very disappointed as my old socks have always been some of my absolute favorites and I got years of great wear, comfort and satisfaction from them. Your product development/sourcing staff made a mistake on this change from the previous maker and style !

I have worn these socks for years and have loved them. The new ones don't seem to have a very tight knit which makes them feel loose and slouchy. I bought these because they had a high percentage of wool but they just don't have that warm comfy feel of the older socks. Like other customers have said we used to be able to buy a two pack for the same price as one of these pair. Maybe it's just as well. Hopefully Bean will redesign with a better knit. Sure miss the old ones, although some of them are just now thinning after all these years and still thicker than the new ones. Sorry to have to give a disappointing review : (

I was really bummed upon pour having these socks. They aren't helpful in keeping my toes warm. Also very big in size. Disappointed

lasted barely a year, now the bottoms are threadbare and getting holes at the heel. the socks that these are knock-offs of lasted over a decade. these are poor imitations at the same price as the real thing. Mr Bean should be embarrassed.

These socks had a terrible smell, which got worse after washing. I washed them twice, hoping the smell would dissipate, but to no avail. The socks also shrank after washing them on delicate and drying on low. I've purchased these type of socks before, but something seems to have changed. I had to send them back.

Nicely made but way too wide for my foot. I thought I bought women's socks not unisex.

Women's small socks have always fit great These small unisex socks are too large.

Way over priced- I returned it- I'll shop around !

Last pairs lasted several years. I didn't wear these at all until December, now they're all worn through.
