Bought these for my husband, he likes the support they provide, and they are nice and warm. It's nice to get socks in a size that fits (small), not one size fits all. They are a little pricey, will get more when on sale.

Warm and snug, tight in the boot. After a couple of steps it feels like a normal sock.

The socks do wick moisture and are very comfortable. They did shrink considerably in length after the first wash.

great sock. very nice construction. However, it could be a little roomier. It says the XL fit to size 15. Barely. Better fit, I would say for size 13, especially after they are laundered. I do not machine dry, but they always shrink. I'd like to see an XXL for sizes 14-16, so my size 15 husband could have a sock that fit for a change.

I withhold "excellent" until I see snow and check out the "Coolmax" feature. The sales description says: "Our thickest socks." Not so. The heavyweight Cresta Hiking Socks are considerably thicker, and I returned those because the fit in shoe was much too tight. As for these "boot socks," I wear size 12 shoe. I ordered both the large (9-12) and X-large (12-15). I am happier with the X-large as a good fit and am keeping them. With their CoolMax feature, I want to see how they do the next time I handle snow. With my old uninsulated L.L.Bean Boots and thick wool socks, my feet always sweat, the socks get damp, and my toes freeze. Now, I'll be trying my new Thinsulate L.L.Bean Boots with these boot socks.

Socks are warm and stay up well, inside is soft, I have very sensitive skin though and had some ankle itching after wearing them before washing them. Hopefully washing them will take care of that or I'll wear cotton under them if it doesn't.

The stitching is coming apart, so they are now known as my "ratty old socks," but they are my "go to" socks for winter walking. I wore these socks at least every other day during the long Alaska winter, and they've always kept me warm, dry, and comfortable. Love em.

The quality is great and the socks are REALLY warm; however, please look at the sizing. I ordered a medium which is supposed to fit women's shoe size 6-10. I wear a size 8 and the sock is MUCH too large -- too long and too wide. It almost fits my husband, who wears a 12-13. I am returning them because of that.

Purchased along with Bean Boots, to use in Colorado on ski trip. The socks were very warm and comfortable, albeit running a little on the large size. I am a size 9 and bought the medium, but probably shoud have opted for the small.

These socks are nice. They are very very thick so make sure you have some room in your boots or you will be cramped. They kept my piggies warm and toasty. They got a bit itchy towards the end of the day but I do recommend them.

These are really warm, comfortable socks, but I expected a little more for the price that I paid. There is not enough elastic to keep them up. They keep falling down.

it took 2 trys to get this right. the first pair ordered per the sizing instructions suggested Med for my shoe size, but I really needed a size large. The product is cut small and I would order "up" in size to get it right the first time. It's a very nice quality sock. I know; I'm in the sock business.

Too small, then I realized its for women. Now I read the product description no thing is mentioned about gender. waste of my time and money. I bought two pairs for my diabetic feet. very disappointed.

The socks had a very chemical smell before and after the first wash. Took a couple of washes before it subsided. The inside of the socks are very rough / bulky seams. On a positive note they are soft and warm. Overall a decent sock if you are not overly sensitive to the seams.

These are very comfy, but they are not fitted. They fit, but are not snug. They slide around in my pull on boots. With lace up boots they don't slide around, but they are too thick for my lace up boots. I just wear them around the house like slippers. I would not purchase again. $24 dollars is way too much to spend for these socks. Plus there's a $7 return charge which is ridiculous considering how high-end and pricey LL Bean is. It's not worth the hassle to return without getting a full refund.

The socks are good, but you need to find a way to make the heels more durable so they don't wear out as fast

I have bought about 20 pairs of these socks over the past dozen years. At one time they were worth every penny. The last few times I purchased these socks there has been a serious drop in quality. Even today, the socks I purchased several years (after years of wear) are far superior to the socks I purchased in the last few years.

These have been my husband's favorite socks for years. That said we have noticed that they do not hold up like they used to. I have had to replace them in under 10 months. For the price I don't think this is acceptable and am looking for another brand that will last longer
