Great cushion! Quality made socks with excellent cushion and no bunching. Wish they were not quite as tall on the leg but all in all very happy.

Socks are nice and warm. I do not like the color at all. Very green, much more so then the photo.

I have wearing these socks for several years, for all 4 seasons. They are wonderful, however, the quality is less than the original purchase.

A great sock for my boots. Warm and comfortable. The one caveat is that I can't put them in the dryer or they shrink so much that I can't wear them.

Quality-made socks; perfect for extremely cold weather. They a very tight even though my husband's cakves are quite thin. I do not dry them in the clothes dryer. Rather, I remove them from the washing machine and pull them over a one-liter plastic milk container to dry and stretch them.

The boot socks feel thinner than pairs I have purchased in the past. That being said they work very well with unlined Bean Boots. I would like to see more color options in the future.

The socks are great and I have several pairs of them that I use a lot. While they did last for a good amount of time before my heel and/or toe poked through, I was hoping they'd have lasted longer esp. at $24.00 a pair. I expect I'll be making another purchase though as they are comfortable in my hiking, work, and Kevlar boots and wear better than other socks I've tried.

I own about 20 pairs of these socks, as I do a lot of garden landscaping & wear them with Bean Boots. Over the years less wool & more nylon has been used to make them. There was a point at which the proportions were really good--you could throw them in the dryer on low without shrinking--but now the socks feel a bit thin & loose; definitely not the nice thick woolies they used to be. I love the LL Bean company & expect quality improvement in the next batch.

Love the thickness and warmth. However, that causes them not to fit in boots or shoes.

Bought these for my husband to wear while shoveling snow or snowmobiling. They are just right for that. The only negative thing is that they are expensive for socks.

These socks are so soft and warm and I love how thick they are and how they cushion the bottom of my feet. The only problem is how tight they are at the very top. Much tighter than necessary unless you have the legs the size of a bird. They leave deep indentations in my calves where the top hits. Other than that I love them!

Sock is well made and warm but the warmth comes from looped inside surface which traps air - good but each loop can compress into an irritating ball if you sweat during exercise. I have had to put these aside for occasional use.

Good socks, but the small was too large for my feet. I take a size 6 shoe and these socks were just too big, bigger than a different pair of wool socks from LL Bean. They are thick and might have been hard to fit into my hiking boots anyway. I passed them to someone with a bit larger foot who is very happy with them.

They are very warm and comfortable and fit perfectly with my boots. However, I washed them once in cold water and put them on the lowest setting in the dryer and they are probably half a size smaller now.

The men I buy these for really like them and they are quite durable. Best worn with boots since they are quite thick and you will need the extra room that most people have in a pair of work boots

These socks are comfortable for the person I bought them for. The only gripe she has is that she wishes they came up higher on her shin.

These socks are soft and comfortable in a boot. Excellent quality. i purchased four pairs. I think I received a small sock and a medium with one of the pairs., since one sock is much longer than the other five socks when compared. I am thinking of exchanging for a different pair with both the same size socks. i suggest you check sizing when you first get them. I would definitely recommend the socks.

These are my husband's favorite socks! He is on his feet all day and loves the cushioning these provide. They hold up really well and he continues to request them for every Christmas/birthday. We have begun to purchase them for our kids as well to keep their feet warm in winter months. My only request would be that they come in additional colors so I can keep better track of which pair belongs to which family member!!

the socks look good, very warm, but too thick for normal everyday boots.

The L.L. Bean extra large Boot Socks were purchased for a size 14 mens foot. The socks fit well from the beginning as well as after a number of washes. The socks were worn mostly indoors during the winter months. I was satisfied with the original purchase and ordered more for the next winter. The only issue I had with the socks that by the end of the winter and much use a hole developed in the heel section.

These socks are very warm, lots of cushion, but just a little too tight at the top for me.

These socks are very nice as they are thick, warm, and hug feet very nicely. Unfortunately, they're a little too thick for my winter boots. I would recommend that they be purchased if your boots are very roomy. Therefore, only 4 stars.

Good for hiking and regular wear, has extra support where needed. Decent weight and warmth.

Good, warm hiking socks but thicker than I anticipated. I have a pair in a different color and they are not as thick.
