I have used these socks trekking in the snowy mountains with temperature below zero and been warm on my feet all the time... Splendid socks!

These are the best hiking / wader socks I have ever used. Two pair of these keep my feet toasty warm when wading in water as cold as 35 degrees (last spring on the Bighorn). Use one pair of your regular size, with a second pair one size larger over them for the ultimate in wading comfort!

These are nothing less than the perfect cold climate sock. Turn down your thermostat, save some oil, and be comfortable. You will lay in bed on a frigid night with your feet feeling as if they are covered in warm sand from a beach in the Gulf of Mexico. Perfect for walking down to the kitchen early in the morning to make your coffee. Worth every penny, in fact I'd pay twice the cost for these.

I work at a ski resort and although I had a hard time paying almost $18, (a couple of years ago), for a pair of socks, I bit the bullet. I now own 8 pair! They are incredibly durable, warm, and they keep your feet dry...most important! I'd buy more, but these just don't wear out! Best ever!!!

These socks are comfortable, well made, and a good value. After two years of wear - they still fit and feel as they did when new. I can't recommend these enough.

When I got my first pair of these socks, I figured they'd loose about 25% of their loft and most of their stretch after a few washings in my machine's brutal "normal" wash cycle. Two years later, after lots of of boot wear and washings, these socks are close to their original state. Even better... they seem to have been designed by someone who uses or at least understands the value of more and less thickness, and elasticity at different places. For my flat feet, the snugness, without bulk, around where my arch should be, feels great.

As the catalog says, they wick away moisture, making them a 5-star rated product even for the summer. Also, they provide that loft that I require for the walking part of my 6-day-a-week workouts, cushioning my feet. Thanks.

Absolutely perfect pair of socks! Fit great with boots, old shoes, and are the best thing going for walking around on cold floors when you don't have slippers.

These are nice socks and very warm and perfect fit.

The LL Bean boot socks are perfect for wearing Bean Boots, or any other boots for that matter. I wear them almost every day in fall and winter, usually in a Bean Boots. I have two pair that are at least 10 years old and still going strong. But sadly the older ones were made better- thicker, plushier, and not so much elastic in them. I hope the decision makers at LL Bean will read this and decide to make them the old way. I get that everything is made cheaper these days to keep prices competitive. But people will pay a little more for quality. What we won't do is pay more money for less quality. Think about it. But all that said, they are still great sock and highly recommend them.

This is a very $$$" pricey " everyday item; but my retired husband wears them day in & day out! They never seem to be "on sale"!!!

These socks are fine but would be even better for someone that hikes, etc.. I am too old for that but bought them for the warmth of 75% wool. They are soft and not itchy. I have a very narrow size 10 foot so I bought the large size. They give me room in the toe but are a bit wide.

Very warm. Just a little snug for my feet. But still a keeper.

Best winter socks I own easily. They make a duck boot 100x warmer and more comfortable. Wish that they came in sets of two at least for the price though.

I like these socks...but they are shorter this year! Bought the same socks last year, and they stretch way further up my legs...so this repeat purchase ended up a disappointment.

No complaints yet, however they are wildly overpriced at $30. that should be the price for two pair, not one. They're good socks, but not that good.

I wear these socks almost 100% of the time. However, they tend to wear through quickly in the heel. So, they're not as durable as I'd like for the premium price.

Wore through a lot faster than I'd expect, but very cozy and thick sock. Great warmth!

I like the length. They are warm and comfortable when wearing winter boots.

Soft and nice and thick. Turned over my boots perfectly.

Very heavy and padded. Good for long hikes/ emergency evacuation. Not for gardening. Tops tight.
