These socks are nice ! After reading the reviews I ordered them in large and I'm glad I did because they run small ! They looked like they were going to be to small for me , but they have enough stretch that they fit! I don't think a medium would have fit! For reference I were a size 7 1/2 shoes ( ladies)!

Very comfortable

When I first received these socks, they looked extremely tiny, & they came with a "Kids" catalog (I am a 57 year-old woman who has never ordered any kids' clothing in probably close to 40 years of ordering from L.L.Bean). When I first tried them on, the heel of the sock was much lower than the heel of my foot, closer towards the arch of my foot. However, I pulled pretty hard to get the heel of the sock in the proper location, & learned these socks can take the hard stretching (every time I wear them). Socks are soft & hefty (thick).

These seem great. They are still new so I'm wondering how well they will hold up. I think they are expensive for the product.

I love the look and feel of these socks - my only complaint is that they shrink considerably after washing even in cold water - I take a size 10 shoe and ordered the large size but if/when I order them again I think I would check to see if these socks are available in the men's department.

I wear a ladies size 9 shoe and these fit perfectly.

Bought them as a gift and she loves them and says that they are very warm and comfortable

I ordered these Ragg socks a few years ago and love them. I wear an 8 shoe and ordered a large which didn't constrict my feet. The knit is beautiful and they hold their shape. I wear them almost every night to keep my feet warm. They are also perfect for wearing under my tall snow boots when I am out for a short time running errands. My feet don't get too hot since they are cotton. I especially like that they were made long enough to stretch up to my shins and I could fold them over. When I ordered the socks this year they fit very differently. The large was too tight and they were ankle socks. I ordered a replacement in an extra large and I'll live with the ankle type, although I am disappointed. I hope the original style will return next time since these are my go to socks on cold nights.

I really love the cotton rack socks but I don't like that they are made shorter than the ones I have purchased before.

Size good- Takes a long time in Dryer. Attractive Design.

First-I love LL Bean ragg socks because they're cute, cotton and don't fall down over time. These are about the 4th set i've purchased over about 8-10 years. I have knee high ones and these crew. Hard to find good quality 100% cotton socks. They're cute and worth the $. Second-I also found they shrunk considerably. I'm a standard size 8 shoe when socks are required. I purchased medium. The heel will often 'sneak' off the heal, toward the arch more. It doesn't bother me and doesn't interfere with anything but I would prefer they fit the heel cup better. That said I would still buy them again and I don't think i'd size up.

Received these as a gift. Initially thought they were too bulky and that I would need to return them. Fortunately I decided to give them a try, and I am so glad I did. They work very well for me in a running or walking shoe or a slipper. I find them warm but not itchy or sweaty. After a few times through the laundry they look like new.

I purchased 2 pairs, the grey pair were 5 star, well made and so comfortable. They wash and dry nicely. The red pair 3 star. After wearing with my LL Bean suede chukkas the toe on the red pair had a small hole at the seam. I hadn't noticed prior to putting on shoes. I stitched with thread and they're wearable again. I just love the cotton knit, so soft and comfortable.

Look great, but are nowhere near as big / roomy as they look. They're actually quite small. And I ordered the largest size they have. Also, in the photos they look stretchy. They're not. At all. Oh well.

I bought a larger size, as the ones I ordered previously were too small. I was hoping these would be much bigger, but they aren't. Also they are short in height. I have some from years back that went up higher on my leg. Otherwise good quality

Run small, do not completely dry in dryer, they look small but stretch out

Love the Ragg socks but they don't last but one season. Always the heel gets holes

I really like these, the fit are very comfortable and snug but not tight. But big problem is the heals wear a hole really fast. They are not well made on the bottom of the sock. I've bought several of these.

These are really warm! I have been buying them for years. They use to be longer and I miss that.

These socks shrunk after washing. I got the 9 and should of ordered the XL. They look and feel great but very disappointed. For the money I spent I'm not happy.

Basically ankle socks. Bean used to sell a longer version

Nice thick cotton, but they are small. I take a size 10 shoe, ordered the Large (9-12) and the sock is really for someone that wears an 8 shoe.

Too small for my ladies size 11 foot. Wish they were bigger

I bought some great socks in the store. When I got back home, I tried to buy more. They sent me these. They are not the same. I washed them. No dryer. The sock matted. The foot of the sock shrank two inches. I called Bean. No one could help
