Toe has line across that totally ruins the socks. It hurts my toes in whatever shoe or boot I wear. What happened to the traditional wool socks that had different construction and lasted for years.

I'm old and tight socks are not advisable. These are warm, comfortable, and not too binding at the top. Perfect, for me, from September thru April.

Quality material, they run just a tad smaller with thinner material than I had hoped.

I purchased these for my trip to Alaska to be worn with my L L Bean hiking boots. Unfortunately, even with a lighter weight sock beneath these, my feet did not stay warm. In fact my toes felt as though they were froze. Probably will keep my feet warm in Oklahoma but definitely did not in Alaska.

My son uses the socks for hunting. He reports that they are warm and I find that they wash well.

The socks are too small. I ordered the largest size. I wear 10.5 shoe and these are just too tight. I have other wool socks from another company and these are uncomfortable feeling on my feet. I would not recommend them and wish I had not ordered them. On a positive note, the color is very nice.

The knot of fabric sits right on the pressure point for all my the shoes. 3 out 4 were sewn this way so clearly it can be done correctly but only 25% of the time..

Warm socks but the seam is very thick on top of the toes, great for around the house but not with shoes on.

Ordered these socks to wear with my Birkenstocks. Perfect! These are well made, comfortable, and warm. Ill probably get more.

in brief, i only give reviews for remuneration, however when a product is as great as ll beans thick merino rag wool socks, i have made an exception to my rule. in my unpaid and untampered opnion. if your feet are cold and you dont buy these marvelous socks, dont blame me! there youve been told. sincerely t labash

Great cozy socks. Right amount of stretchy. I wear 9.5 shoes and ordered medium - perfect fit.

I'm giving them four stars since they were what I expected. However, I have bought these in other colors in the past and after about two winters of wear, the heels develop holes.
