My daughter received this as a baby gift, loves it I now give it.

They sticking was frayed when I first received the bad but I was bakes to re stitch myself and it looks great now

Bag is great BUT added monogram is too small for the size of the bag

We had it monogrammed and thought the font was a bit smaller then expected. Bag is very nice though.

Over all it's a good bag but I just wish it had an outside pocket to put keys or a phone in.

I wound up returning this tote bag, because I bought it to use as carry-on luggage, but it was too small. When I got it I realized that it came in large and extra-large, as well as regular. HOwever I didn't exchange it for a larger size because even the regular was kind of heavy.

It's a little bigger than I expected. But overall the bag is made really well.

I bought this tote several months back. I expected it to perform to the same standard as the one I bought many years ago. Sadly, I had to go to a motel due to my apartment being remodeled and when I went to leave for the motel the zipper stitching ripped. I am now stuck in a motel for awhile to get this dealt with.

My daughter though the text would be much bigger. It needs to be much bigger to be noticeable.

I SO wish there was an outside pocket/pouch for small items like keys and credit cards.

Love the tote however first tote was defective. LLBean customer service was super helpful

I purchased this bag in the size small with long handles. It's a very sturdy and useful bag that can be used as a tote or purse depending on what you like to do with your bags. I would love to order different colors but they are on backorders when I look online.

This is a very sturdy bag. I think it would be able to hold a great amount of weight and not break. The stitching on the sides isn't perfectly done, but these I think are made by Hand with a sewing machine. The monogram is a nice touch. The back order issues made it take months to arrive from original purchase date. This is something I appreciate reading about in reviews so you know what to expect.

I ordered a large tote bag. They sent me an extra large. Its great but it doesn't match the size of the others. This one was for my eighth grandson. The others asked why he had a bigger one and he is the youngest. I just wish they would get my orders right. They always mess up something but, I do love their products!

I purchased a white boat and tote and got a small stain on it. Spot cleaning not only did not work, it left a bigger stain. I chatted with LL Bean Chat and they basically said I was out of luck. I COULD wash it in the machine but they don't guarantee the bag (or my washing machine). My advice: don't buy this bag or at least only buy a dark color. But who wants a bag they can't wash??

I have ordered monogrammed tote bags before. This time, as usual, the monogram is lovely but the condition of the canvas bag itself is all wrinkled. I'm going to send it to the cleaners to see if they can steam everything out. Disappointed. This has never happened before.

I've given personalized totes as baby gifts for years, always ordered from another online retailer. Decided to use LL Bean this time because I have free monogramming and shipping with their credit card. This tote is well made, but the medium size is a good bit smaller than the other medium tote, and it lacks the outer pocket you get from from them. I think the large tote is too big to give as a baby gift, so I'm going to go back to the other retailer and stick with their version of medium for future gifts. I have no problem with the quality of the LL Bean tote -- just the size (and lack of a pocket).

The special colors in medium long do not have the colored zip top, but only have the natural color. It's jarring when you're not expecting it. Just look out for it. The main colors seem to still have the beautiful colors for their zip tops.

The pink was very light and not as bold - wish I had gotten a different color font

When having an item monogrammed and ordering by telephone, make sure your request is understood correctly. This item was returned due to an incorrect monogram.

Everything was perfect except there's no zipper. Just open top.

I had very high hopes for this bag. I will say it has enough room to hold the belongings for a family of 5 to tote along to the beach. However, the quality is a bit disappointing. Within the first week strings were hanging from all of the stitching including the zipper area. I'm not sure how it'll hold over time.

Bag seems a bit twisted. Bottom pleats not evenly folded, giving bag an odd look. Ordered two bags - open top and w/zipper. Both with same monograms. Order BLOCK for both, but monograms do not match. One is not as bold as the other. Was supposed to be a gift set but do not match for reasons mentioned. I was disappointed with the inconsistencies. The person who recieved bags liked them. Bags serve their purpose, but like I said, I was disappointed with the inconsistencies. I understand the bags are hand made, but templates for monograms should match.

I ordered this tote with a monogram and it came without, very disappointed.

the tote is beautiful, very nice monogram, but the tote is very stiff and hard not happy with the purchase.
