The boat bag is very well-made and contains just the right amount of space for a long day trip or a trip to the beach. I highly recommend it.

This is the third tote I have purchased, three different colors and sizes. I LOVE each and every one. Great value and a superb product.

Gave the large size zip top tote bag to my softball coach. Holds all her score books, magnetic board, line-up sheets, etc. Had it embroidered with our team name in our team colors. She carries it to all practices and games!!! The quality of the materials and workmanship is top notch. It holds everything...bet it could hold the kitchen sink!!!

This was a Christmas gift for the lady of the house. She is really pleased with quality of the product. She likes the size and the zipper top. It seems to be very well made with durable material and should last for many years. And, as a plus it's made in the U.S.

50ish yr old female 5'3 I had an Interior Design business back in the early 90,s and ordered several of these bags-hard use-daily for 15 years. Still have them! I recently ordered 4 of these-Med, Large and 2 extra-large all with long handles and zipper tops. 1-STILL a great value, hard working SIMPLE tote! The long handles make it easy to use on the shoulder, and at 5'3 I can still use as a tote. 2-Sturdy, stiff, holding its shape. I got tired of flimsy soft fabric totes that flop over. The med size I use as a daily tote for my work. LOVE that is stays upright and holds its shape. 3-Not a fancy bag- no inside compartments. I use smaller grab and go bags to organize my stuff I haul around. Makes it fast to customize for the day. 4-Made in the USA. Sturdy, high quality materials. High quality has not diminished since my 1st purchase of these totes 30 years ago.

This bag replaced one we bought 25 years ago and have used for everything from beach to ski trips. Love this bag!

We have purchased many of the large canvas bags. After seeing my Dad use grocery bags to carry items back and forth from his house to mine we had the idea to get him his own custom bag with "Papa" embroidered on it in his favorite baseball teams colors. It is perfect, and he loves it! Quality is always on point and what you expect from LL Bean. Perfect!

I have several bags to carry my grandma goodies. But they didn't have a zipper. This is an awesome bag. It's the right size, sturdy and I can keep my goodies secure and hidden until I'm ready to hand them out.

I bought this for my 3 month old to pack all his stuff for vacation and it's perfect. Very sturdy and timeless so he'll be able to use it as he grows up. Also, definitely recommend the long handles... very easy to transport this way.

I wanted to write this review after reading some other reviews that stated that the extra large size was too big. In my opinion, not so! It is just what I was looking for. It is the perfect size for our family of 4 to bring to the pool or beach. It fits 4 beach towels, a change of clothes for each person, some snacks and toys. For one person, yes, it would be too big, but if you're looking for a bag to carry gear for a family, this is it. Don't be afraid to purchase the XL if that is what you want to use it for.

The extra large boat/tote bag was a gift for my granddaughters 18th birthday. It's the only thing she asked for - she wants it to take to college with her next fall. She was thrilled! I've given these bags numerous times to high school graduates and they all love them!

I have ordered these totes over the years in all sizes and, yes, they seem to last forever! Extremely sturdy, with zipper top and they stand on their own, literally. I recently gave all my grandkids the medium size for their overnighters. They are also great for storing toys like wooden blocks. My grandkids tote them everywhere!

I love love love this tote. I got it for lugging stuff to the cabin in something other than Ikea bags! It holds sheets, towels, all sorts of stuff. I can load it up with ski helmets, apparel and boots. It's huge and awesome. Also the zip top is really great. Nothing falls out when it inevitably tips over when I sling around some corner on the way out of Brooklyn.

Christmas present for my wife. Very well made, solid, embroidery was very well done. She likes it so much, we also ordered an open-top version in camo for her gun gear.

Best tote bag ever and beautiful monogramming! this is the perfect complement to our luggage for traveling. I just wish this larger size came in a darker color because the creamy canvas is likely to get and show a lot of dirt. I would readily buy this again if needed or as a gift for someone else.

These tote bags, I have four now, are the best on the market. I love that I can have a zip top and long handles. Makes everything I carry secure and easy to transport. Thank you LLBean.

This was a Xmas gift for my granddaughter who is off to college in the fall. She loves it and has used it already. I also have one and use it regularly in the summer.

I am a Realtor and I use these as gifts to the New Homeowners with their Last Names on them. It has always been well received and it is unique as this is personal to them. Sometimes I will get one for the other agent involved in a Sale. That really blows them away because no one normally does that but it makes for a memorable relationship. These are outstanding bags and stand up to a lot of abuse. Very well made. I have also given them as Christmas and Birthday Gifts and Always with their First or Last names on them. Great Closing Gifts!

I am a yacht broker and have been giving embroidered L.L. Bean Boat and Tote bags to clients after they buy a new boat from me for years now. They are always a big hit and the high quality of these bags means they will last for years. I've personally used them for over 20 years and they wear very well.

I buy one of these bags for myself every year - - have 3 different sizes, so far. This year I decided to splurge and spend and extra $10. to buy the bag with the zipper top. L O V E it! Really durable, easy to use - straps over shoulder or otherwise. (I buy the longer straps) This particular bag is terrific for carrying on a plane. It fits perfectly in the overhead compartment OR will slide directly under the seat in front by your feet. Nice! Highly recommend any version of this bag. (have used one of these bags since 2006 and it's still working well, albeit a bit soiled now.)

I received this bag as a gift eight years ago...and it is still going strong! I use it for carrying everything: groceries, toys to park, library books, picnic things. My toddler loves sitting in it, reading books! HA! I've found the large to be the perfect size for my needs (filled full of groceries, it can be heavy, but is manageable for me and saves me trips into the house!), and I love the long straps. I can wear it over my shoulder, carry it at my side, or with the zip-top closed, I've even carried it like a backpack! I bought a second one six years ago - one has a zipper and one does not - and prefer the zipper to be there in case I'd like to close it. When I'm not using the zippered closure, it all folds down inside and doesn't interfere at all. I've also chose to have a single monogram on the outside and it's the perfect size: not too small, not too large. I LOVE THEM! Perfect to have at home and give as gifts.
