This is another fine product from LLBean... it carries all of my tutoring supplies around town... markers, whiteboards, books, playdoh, and is so fabulously functional! Still looks new and does its job diligently.

Just purchased 2 more "Boat & Totes" one for myself and one I had Beans send to my daughter in Arizona.. Had them both monogrammed which is a nice touch that is offered here... My daughter loves hers and I ordered her the red trimmed one with black initials (Blackhawk colors) with the long handles and she loves it..! I got the same size in camo and it looks great..! The medium bag is so versatile and is perfect for a trip to the ball park, day trip, beach or pool and any other excursion you might need a medium sized bag to carry your essentials.. These are great bags and they last forever.. My advice is to get the long handles because it makes them easier to carry either on your shoulder or at your side.. 5 Stars

I've recently purchased three of these totes (all zip-top, one in each Small, Medium & Large). I LOVE them. They are so durable - will definitely last for a long time. Due to the thickness of the canvas the bags and straps are somewhat stiff at first but they soften up a bit with use.The design of the zip top is great as it actually creates extra space in the bag. The small tote I use as a purse - it fits my wallet, water bottle, phone, keys, gloves, notebook and other little things I carry around. The medium size is perfect as a daybag/carry-on/personal item for travel - it fits easily under the seat in airplanes. I love having the longer handles for this. The medium is also a great work bag for my lunch, wallet, umbrella, etc. The large size is great as an overnight/weekend bag and holds a LOT - clothes, books, shoes, towel, etc. I haven't used this one as much yet, so no comment on if I like having the shorter straps or if I'd prefer the longer ones instead since it's pretty heavy once it's full. In summary... I highly recommend this product!

This bag is everything I was looking for in a work bag. Big enough to put my lunch and files in and it zipped. I will be taking it to Disney this year.

I chose the persimmon over the traditional pink and it's great. It's almost a muted coral color.

I love these totes so durable. My color (peony) is usually sold out in extra large so I happened to be able to snag one in large just delivered today. Too bad the extra large is sold out. I bought two mediums one zip top and one open top as stand-in's for the large. Now I have two mediums and one large and will be returning one of the mediums. I would like an extra large peony tote. Please, LL Bean, the peony is a popular color keep buying the color accordingly. I'll be waiting for the extra large peony tote to be in stock.

I liked mine so much, that I bought two more as birthday gifts for two college kids. They'll be able to use these for years as they study abroad and as they go to grad school too. Very practical gifts. I called their mother and got their favorite colors and their complete initials, so that just added to the pleasure of giving the bags to them.

I'm in love with my new tote! It's light weight & roomy plus easy to carry.

This tote is perfect for my water aerobics class. Everything fits inside; and zipping it closed helps with weather conditions walking from my car. Love it!! :-)

I guess I'm a little late with this review since my two size large "Boat & Tote" bags were purchased 30 years ago but I can give a decent evaluation.. I used both of them for hauling my waders and hip boots around to and from the vehicle and wherever my travels took me and they are still going strong.. They are the ones trimmed in navy.. By all means don't worry about them lasting, because they are as tough as nails, excellent canvas bags which can be used for a myriad of applications.. Highly recommend these bags..! By the way, just ordered a new one in size medium, zippered top, with the long handles in camo, for use going to the ballpark or a day trip etc.. Looking forward to it's arrival.. One more note, I've been buying from L.L.Bean for 40 plus years and I've never had a problem with anything..! L.L.Bean stands behind everything they sell and if their is ever a problem, they make it right..! Five Stars Plus..!

Larger than expected,will easily hold everything needed for a weekend away. I got the long straps and am happy I did. Short straps would be difficult to carry in my opinion. Canvas is very sturdy. No wonder they guarantee it will hold up to 500 lbs! Looks like it will last for many years,happy with my purchase!

I love this tote. I love the colors, durability, and multi-use. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a long lasting, made in the US tote bag.

Longer strap is very functional. The color "Persimmon" is perfect shade of coral. Zip top is a plus. The embroidery is perfectly placed. The best part is that it arrived to Connecticut in only a couple days! Highly Recommend.

You can use this as a beach bag, weekend bag, or gym bag. The zipper top alllows you to stufff it to the max without anything falling out. I love the camaflouge trim. LOVE IT !!!!!

This is an incredible tote. I use it for short trips, sleepovers and storing toys. They are versatile very resistant and beautiful.

Amazing tote bag! Purchased two bags for my twin grandsons. Bags are great for carrying diapers, clothes etc for the babies. Like the fact that the bag has a zipper to close and secure the contents. We have purchased five other bags, one for each grandchild. Highly recommended

I bought two of these, one off the rack and one I customer designed for a slightly more professional looking work bag look in black with accent straps (the color combo came out great!). I am still adjusting to using it for a work bag since it is so roomy I have to organize my accessories (mouse and charger cables) in smaller bags but love the quality. I did a zip top closure so when I put it under the seat on front of me on a plane nothing would fall out.

I have been a fan of llbean since when I was in Japan, that means 20 years ago....the quality of their products are always on the top specially their tote bags !!!

We have two of these and love them both. Catch-all for so many uses--coats, blankets, lunch to hop on plane and then fold and place under seat once onboard. Kids' sporting events--actually holds backpacks and a small cooler instead of using a wagon. Sturdy, cute, functional. We love this bag!!

I ordered four of these bags to haul groceries. California's new anti plastic law has me searching for the perfect grocery bag. Unless you are Arnold Schwarzenegger; you will not be able to carry the extra large bags when they are full as they are just to big. I sent them back and ordered 1 small, 1 medium, and 1 large. I thank L.L. Bean for the return of the way too big bags. What I like best about these bags are the zipper top; no more chasing cans and cabbage heads rolling around in my SUV. The canvas bags are very well made to last a life time.

I have every size of theses bags! The smaller ones I use as a purse while the others we use for trips and overnight bags. Personalizing them makes them all the more stylish. I treated myself to designing an all black one with the handy outside pocket for my cell phone. The ivory initials looked great. Thank you LL Bean!

Love the bag. I purchased the extra large tote with the long straps. I should have probably got the large because the XL is huge! But I love it!

I finally after all these years ordered the Tote. I love that LL Bean offers monograming. I have wanted this bag for years. Its perfect for traveling or the pool. The construction is sound and well made. Love that its made in America.
