My daughter has had 4 bags since the beginning of school. They rip right away. This backpack is a great size for a high school kid who carries all their books around. The quality is better then any other backpack we have owned. It may be a little be more then other bags but it last.

Always had LL Bean backpacks for school growing up. As an adult, I realized I needed a high-quality, heavy-duty backpack - for travel, work, etc. I knew the quality of these bags were great, so I decided to get another one! It felt like the first day of school when I got my order, so nostalgic, but still just as good of a backpack 20-ish years later.

The bag has so much room! Can store so much more than her old backpack. Good quality. Highly recommend.

Have one just like it I have worn out & needed another. I was delighted LL Bean still carried it as I use it for a 2nd carry on for airline trips. It fits right under the seat.

I got this for college because I have long days where I'm there all day and I nee la everything I have so that I can study all subjects. This backpack fits the bill. Carries EVERYTHING with room to spare! I'm talking my laptop, two binders, four five subject notebooks, a study guide that's five inches think, my planner and all my pens pencils and markers!! This was exactly what I was needing!! I've had it for a few weeks now and it's holding up nicely! I def recommend this for students who need to carry a lot!

I bought this for my grand daughter and she loves it. Perfect for her all her school "stuff ".

This backpack is great. It's lightweight and has so many spacious pockets. My son lokes to carry all his books to avoid being tardy. His backpack probably weighs 45 lbs, but it holds up very well. He has plenty of space to keep himself organized.

The L.L. Bean school backpack was the epitome of durability and functionality when I was in high school 25 years ago. I am glad we purchased this for our middle-schooler recently. The fabric seems to be a better quality and we love the roominess. The 40L pack easily fits my son's 40 oz water bottle, insulated lunch container, iPad, pencil case and 3-4 books. Will buy again for my daughter.

Amazing!!! The best quality there is. We've owned a few other name brand backpacks & none of them hold up as well as LL Bean. I'm never buy another brand.

I purchased this bag for my high school son 7 years ago. He used it during high school and then college classes before active duty in the army. He took it to Afghanistan and Iraq. Fellow army buddies would laugh that he would take it with him everywhere but it held up through all of that. No problems with the seams or zippers and he loaded it with the full amount of weight allowed by airplanes!! Well he finally put a hole in it carrying way too much weight. I was proud and glad to purchase another bag just like it. This backpack is the absolute best, heavy duty, high performance you could possibly purchase! Highly recommend it to everyone I know!

These bookpacks are the best! My girls get years of use out of them. We only bought a new one to upgrade the size, her old one is still in great shape after 3 years of heavy use!!

Great backpack. Large enough to fit all my sons books and notebooks. He wishes that the little pocket on the inside was not there. I will probably cut it out, he says he doesn't use it and gets in the way. Other than that, so far it has held up very well, no holes or rips. Will see how it does through the year!!
