This backpack is worth every penny. I bought my daughter a deluxe backpack at the start of first grade back in 2011. I told her to choose her color carefully, because I was hoping she would have the backpack through high school. This pack did not disappoint! She graduated HS this spring and the pack is STILL in great shape after 12 years. Even after 2 years of COVID restrictions that forced her to carry ALL of her binders, folders, computer, etc from class to class all day, it never wore out. We washed it a couple of times a year in the washing machine and it always came out great. Additionally she has used it to travel to 5 different countries, 1 US territory and multiple states. We bought similar packs for her Siblings who are also now in HS and theirs are holding up equally well. The only complaint is that the water bottle pocket became a bit stretched out after 5-6 years. The only reason we are replacing it for college is because she would finally like to pick a new colorher tastes have changed since she was 6! If you are wondering g if this pack is worth the cost I would say unequivocally YES!

Was looking for a backpack that had more evenly spaced sections - not just a laptop compartment - for high school. This was the answer. It is exactly as pictured.

I used 2 of these all through my school career and loved them. Now I am getting them for my middle school kids!! I love all the book bags for the kids......just not enough "boy" colors or designs

High schooler carries lots of heavy books and a Chromebook daily, and strap started to tear. Exchange process was painless!

My kids have used LL Bean backpacks through grammar school and high school. The bags hold a ton and are able to take a beating. I appreciate that the company stands behind their products.

Great size for everything my daughter has to carry for school. This is the second bookbag I've purchased from L. L. Bean; the first one lasted 5 years. Received it within a week & it was monogrammed.

Beans backpacks last forever. I have one I've been using for 30+ years! A recent trip reminded me to get a larger model. I love the color combo in the illustration.

I bought this backpack for my dog, Boomer, to carry 6 liter water bottles, 2 water bowls, chuck-it, frizbee and other doggie stuff...and I LOVE It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this backpack for a trip, and it worked beautifully. Lots of individual spaces to keep things organized, and plenty of room for clothes, electronics, personal items. Very well-made too.

The back pack looks good and embroidery was done well so I was very pleased. To early to say how it will hold up under use.

This is our second pack -- this a good backpack -- however, the mesh pockets on my child's last pack ripped after 5 years, and the zippers would catch on the flap and get off-track, and several broke after 2 years. On this model the zippers have also been updated and are definitely more sturdy. I still have mine Bean pack from college and it's still strong even after 30+ years but it appears some of the quality has been left-out of these packs in recent years. Happy with the new zippers, but the mesh pockets haven't changed and these external-access-pockets are daily use item with water bottles etc.

This is my sons 2nd backpack. The first one is still in great shape after 3 years of use. He wanted a second one so he didnt have to constantly unpack each time he used it for other things. It fits a lot and is sturdy.

I have one of those bags and they hold everything you need for school and you can fit way more in it and then you can still probably fit more
