This is a beautiful shirt, made with the highest standards of LL Bean quality. However, I have one complaint - the fit in the armholes is just a touch too tight. While I do understand that this is a slim fit shirt, and that my issue is a result of the garment's construction, I just wanted to warn my brethren with large shoulders and wider latissimus dorsi muscles to beware. (I did size up to XXL - and the fit around my relatively ample lower torso is good - but the shirt could've benefited from wider/deeper armholes. Or LL Bean could just offer this color (Barley) - which is a really fantastic, calming color - my blood pressure lowers when I look at it - in a regular fit and my review would've been shorter and one star better.)

Good quality. Near perfect fitI just wish it was a little wider in the shoulders. Looks good untucked. I'm 6'0", 175 lbs, and I ordered the medium tall.

My husband has this shirt from last year in another color. I loved it so much I ordered one for me. I am 5'4" 138lbs, I ordered medium. It's perfect to go with leggings, long enough length to cover the assets. Sleeves a little long but I like to roll them up anyway. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the buttons are BROWN :/ eeeek who puts brown buttons on a gray shirt. They appear black in the picture but no. BROWN :/

So I love this shirt. It is thick and provides a superb level of warmth. It is better than the LL Bean Flannel Shirt I bought last year. Which brings me to the sleeves . . . All of my LL Bean shirts have very long sleeves and buttons on the cuffs that do not keep the shirt from falling off my wrists. I look silly and usually have to double fold, then button the cuffs to take several inches off. I SO WISH LL Bean would either make a second button further into the cuff? Or figure out a way to keep the cuffs from falling past the wrist when the sleeves are too long.

Everything I could want in a shirt except I wish that the buttons were not of such a contrasting color.

Very nice flannel, I love it ! Great color pattern awsome fit and fantastic quality. I who're it one week straight when it arrived, and just finished up a back country fishing trip and it held up well. It fits true to size. The sleeves are perfect on this style.

All as expected with the exception being that the color was not light blue as it appeared in your add that I was hoping for when I purchased the shirt.

High quality. Thick fabric. If the waistband on your pants is tight, you can't tuck in the shirt.

Great looking shirt and nicely made. The shirt is listed as slim, and that is no lie, especially after washing and drying it. With wears it is stretching back out, but I would warn anyone with larger arms to stick to the original sizing over the signature line.

This shirt isn't as heavyweight as the LL Bean Chamois shirt, but that's OK. I checked the dimensions, and while I normally wear a Large, I ordered an XL for this shirt. Fit is good, but sleeve length a bit long - had it altered. Quality shirt, and I like the tan color.

I bought this for my bf for Christmas. I was able to use an LL Bean discount on this which was great. I bought it in the terra cotta-ish color. I guestimated on my bf's measurements (his used here, not mine), but he is pretty average size if a little on the thin side. When he tried it on he said it was nearly perfect except the sleeves were just a little on the short side. However I was leery of buying a medium since I imagined it would be much wider. Upon opening the bag I found the color to be true to what is advertised--it's a lovely honey brown color, maybe seems odd compared to blue or grey as a more safe bet, but he really liked it. I told him to be careful about washing it and maybe air dry it so it doesn't get any smaller. As others have noted, I did notice that the stitching wasn't the greatest--a small thread was hanging out from one of the sleeves that either wasn't trimmed or maybe something wasn't sewn shut all the way. For the full price and the LL Bean schtick, I'd expect better. It seemed soft and medium weight, but not super thick--if that's what the chamois difference is supposed to be. Overall I'm happy with the purchase--bf likes the style, it being a flannel, even the color, but I knocked a star off for the slightly odd dimensions (bf doesn't have abnormally long arms, never had that issue in other flannels), and the random threads that were loose. I expect it to last him many years to come!

Love the shirt, but the pockets are too small.

The flannel shirt I ordered for my husband was a large. My husband wears a large however I had to return the shirt for a medium. Now the shirt is almost to small and debating whether to send it back. Quality is excellent on all LL Bean clothing.

My husband bought three of these shirts in different colors. The body fits well which is great. The sleeve length was inconsistent between the three, with one shirt having very long sleeves. We sent the shirt back.

I LOVE these shirts. I'm an average built guy on the slender side 5'11". I originally bought a size medium, which was too big around for me. Ended up buying the small tall size which fits me like a glove. I own two and wear them constantly. So much so that one ripped so I purchased an identical one in grey, but the fabric quality wasn't what I had on the previous one. I was a little bummed about that.

I'm 6'1" tall and weigh 165lbs, 33" waist, 13.5" biceps. I bought this shirt in Medium Tall, Forest Green. This years Signature Chamois shirts are cut smaller than the last time I bought around 2012. This years' shirt is tighter across across the back and tighter in the arms when I bend them. And the collar still seems a little large: I have a 15" neck, yet with the collar buttoned I can put four fingers between my throat and the front of the collar with some room to spare. Otherwise, the green color is beautiful, the style is excellent, and the material is nice and thick. The sleeve length in tall is great, too: a little long for my 34" sleeves, but that's how I like it (when I bend my arm the cuff's don't ride up and let the cold air in). Except for the fit, these are my favorite chamois shirts of all time, and I continually wonder why Bean's regular chamois shirts aren't made in the same style as the Signature ones.

I bought this same shirt last year in another color and it fit perfectly, so I bought a second one. The second shirt of the same size has sleeves a full 1/2" longer. So, one fits great; the other looks like I'm wearing my older brother's shirt. Both were laundered exactly the same. I've kept both shirts, but beware the variable quality control on sizing. It's a pretty expensive shirt to have to wear with the sleeves rolled. Otherwise Love this re-issue.

Granted my husband is 6'2", but another inch on the bottom would be nice on the XL. Everywhere else fit perfectly, so an XL Tall would probably be too big. It's not going back, because it is such a cozy solid flannel.

Heavy and warm for a casual shirt. I wear it like it's a light jacket; over something else, usually. The fit on the signature version is much less boxy than the regular one, but it would be incorrect to say it runs small.

Soft, comfortable, cozy, can be dressed up... its almost perfect. Only issue: the sizing on these shirts is very strange. They just have to be tried on. They're also a little on the boxy side (perhaps I should start buying tall?). I suggest trying on two or three as they sometimes don't seem to be 100% the same - even if you're trying on 3 larges. That being said, I probably have six of these shirts now - I live in them in the winter. It's rare that I don't have one on between October and March.

From time to time LL Bean will slightly change the fit and design of their products. I have some older chamois shirts that I love dearly. This shirt is larger and boxier.

I love the weight and texture of the fabric. Unfortunately, the slim fit is too slim for my chest/shoulders. I can't raise my arms above my chest while wearing this shirt in a Large, and I think the XL would not improve the fit since the shoulder seams are already off my shoulders... it just seems to be strange fit. I'll have to return it. My sizing: 5'10" about 175 pounds, 33 waist, 42 chest.
