I think I've reviewed this shirt--or one like it--before, so I'll just say that this fit--the Signature Slim-Fit--in a Tall is ideal for my husband. We hope LL bean will continue to offer shirts in this size--with pockets.

Preferred LL Bean chamois cloth shirt because of its slightly fitted cut (versus regular LLBean chamois offerings) but certainly isn't slim fit compared to most other brand's standards. Recommend that you try on before purchasing. XL Regular fits me perfectly, for reference 6'-3" ~255lbs athletic / I-like-beer build.

I have a few of these shirts from LL Bean because I wear them all the time. They are perfect for Fall/Winter/Spring to put on over a t-shirt to keep you warm without being too hot. I'm an average sized guy, so I wear a Medium. The medium is just a little snug, but that's how I like the shirt to feel. The shirt can be a little stiff at first but it softens up when you wear and wash it. Along with being totally awesome, the shirt looks great too. Rugged. Perfect for any activity, indoors or outdoors.

This is a great shirt. Warm. Soft. Solidly built. And most importantly, it's shaped like me. Which is to say: I do not have a beer gut, so I'm happy when my shirts don't automatically assume that I do. The only not great thing I can say about it is that it should be offered in more colors. Gray and black are safe, but I've already got enough shirts in those colors. Barley is another word for beige. Burnt Ochre is the only remotely interesting color amongst them. But my wife says I don't look good in orange. (Kind of a dark orange, really.) So what's a guy to do? How about dark blue? Light blue? Forest green? Purple? (Gasp!) I know LLBean has access to those pigments. Go on, give them a try!

My husband has several of these shirts and just loves them for Fall and Winter wear. Great fit, washes well, needs ironing, but well worth the effort.

After having tried like crazy to track down a chamois shirt that didn't fit like a garbage bag, I finally bought this one last winter at the recommendation of a friend. Now I basically live in it. In fact, even though my shirt from last winter is in perfect condition and very comfortable, I bought a second one just in case LL Bean stops making this specific color & cut of the shirt (black, slim fitwhich isn't really 'slim' by normal standards, the fit is more like a J.Crew regular fit oxford). Can't say enough good things about this shirt, when it starts to get cold in the fall I throw it on under my jean jacket and I'm good to go. In the winter it's a nice warm layer for everyday wear. Love it. I'm 5'11", 195 lbs. size medium regular is a perfect fit.

I live in south central WI, I'm 5'8" 240 lbs, and most of the weight is around my midsection. I'm originally from south FL but love cool weather. I own two of these button down shirts and they fit wonderful, are very soft, and make the perfect middle layer between a white undershirt and a jacket in the dead of winter. I'll wear this fishing, camping, and to take my family out day or night. I typically wear these shirts once per week from late Fall to early Spring. For those looking for additional colors of this product, I suggest coming back to the L.L. site frequently (~1/month) and see if new/old colors come back. My thought is that L.L. releases the colors in a rotation throughout the year.

Nice quality and feel but seems to run a bit tight.

I like this shirt because it fits well and looks sharp in the blue/bronze plaid. I don't think it's as heavy as the traditional Bean chamois shirt I bought a few years ago, but the fabric is soft and very comfortable. I very much appreciate the trim fit of the Signature line of shirts because the regular line of flannel shirts has a greatly expanded waistline that doesn't look good on me.

A red-black one that I bought two years ago became my favorite shirt--the slim fit large fit me just perfectly. I asked for another one for Christmas and this one has the same quality material and worksmanship, but the sizing is different. It's bigger, so it's a bit baggy on me and the sleeves are 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch longer so I have to roll them up when eating. Would have been five stars otherwise. Don't know whethere I'll ask for another one.

I ordered it in a size Med but had to exchange it for a size Large. It runs small. Otherwise, a nice shirt. Fast re-order and shipping!!

Sorry, but I knocked it down because the button holes are too tight for these old fingers. Or maybe the buttons are too big, not by much, but. . . .?

Ordered the same shirt a couple years ago and this large is at least half a size larger than the previous. Will really nuke it in the dryer to see if I can get the same fit because it's otherwise a really nice shirt.

I've been wearing LLB Chamois shirts since I was a kid. I love this 'Signature' version with the more tailored fit. Though I appreciate not having sloppy baggy sleeves, I gotta say the more recent versions of this shirt are quite tight in the elbows (and forearms), restricting how well I can bend my arms. Versions of these I bought 5-10 years ago (and still have) aren't nearly as tight there, and wish LLB would loosen it up just a touch in the lower part of the sleeves. Otherwise the fabric is soft and warm, and they wear great. The prints/styles can be hit or miss, some years they're great, others I don't care for as much. Hoping they offer more new ones yet this season. Keep the stitch counts and construction quality high.

I am shocked by the quality of these men shirts. I have large arms due to edema. So I often cannot find women's plus size shirts accommodating my arms width and the length for the shirts. I tend to buy men's solid color flannel shirts for the cold winter season. They are honestly more comfortable than the women's plus size! But this time around, they are snug fitting! And the flannel is not as plush and thick. The last time I brought this shirt was in 1999(?) and it had ample amount of material and quality was thick and supple. Not any more.

Love these shirts, order a few dozen for company every year. Was excited to see the sea green color this year, but unfortunately it's a lot darker in person than in the photos. Also they shrink a ton so maybe size up. Will feel big at first but after a few washes you'll be glad you did.

Good quality shirt as expected. I like it. Wouldn't mind seeing this being a little shorter for leaving untucked.

Always like the material. Should have adjustable cuffs on the sleeves and it does not. Particularly needed on the large - would be too large at the cuff for Pop-Eye. Had a seamstress fix it by moving buttons around on the two shirts.

Your chest size chart is a bit off for size Tall Large. I am 6 foot 3 inches, have a 42 chest, 35 inch sleeves and historically have worn a Tall Large LL Bean Long Sleeve Chamois Cloth Shirt. This shirt is snug in the shoulders and chest. Instead of a Tall and Large the size chart should have called for a Tall Extra Large.

I ordered this shirt because my husband has an ancient, yellow, chamois, Bean shirt I can no longer repair. We hoped this would come close to yellow. It doesn't; it's more beige/taupe/brown. As far as quality, it's a great shirt, just not the right color for us.

A little narrow through the arms (though it does stretch a bit), but really too generous through the bodyespecially for a slim fit. If you have a really big belly, or like the way shirts fit in the '90s, this could be the cut for you; if you are a hipster, you will probably be unhappy with it.

This really is a fine shirt. Unfortunately I bought it as the weather was turning warmer so I wore it only once. And I don't know why, but I actually don't like patterned chamois shirts as much as solid colored ones. But that's just my personal preference. The shirt was cozy, well made and super soft. Lots and lots of people will love it.
