This shirt is a great fit for those with a slimmer physique. Provides the warmth and comfort expected with a superior fit. Plan to purchase more!

I got this for my husband and the M is true to expectation. He is a slim guy, and it is trimmer and shorter to be able to wear untucked to fall at a good length. The material is soft right out of the bag. The buttons seem big for a shirt, but maybe because it is really an over-shirt/jacket.

I consider this chamois the standard by which I would measure chamois shirts. The cloth is thick and soft to touch (and a bit stiff, which I like). It is nicely warm. The buttons seem big, but they work well with the thickness of the cloth. I bought the slim fit, which fits me just right. It's not a baggy shirt. The length might be a bit short for a tall guy, but it is just about right for me. The sleeves would be better a bit shorter for me, which means that for most people it would be about right. It could do with a bit of stretch, but it's not really necessary.

We're a long-time LL Bean chamois shirt family. It was time for my grandson to join the tradition. He's 19, goes to school in Northern CA, and is very tall and very skinny. He's also a redhead, so black seemed to be the perfect shade for him to wear over turtlenecks. He'll open it on Christmas Day, but his parents are already thrilled. His Mom ordered one, also, her third. His Dad has two. It's in our DNA.

Finally a Bean garment that fits! I bought the med tall and the body actually drapes without looking like a tent. A tailor shortened the length a couple of inches as that's the way I like shirts, easy and I'm good. Nice big buttons which are easy to use. Nice pockets, nice soft cozy material.

I wrote a review a short while back on the fantastic black Signature Chamois shirt I had bought. I found it to be much softer than the recent chamois shirts. Well, I loved it so much I bought another one, this time in Deepest Green and it is even softer than the black one. It must have something to do with the manufacturing process because they are the same thickness, but the deepest green one is much softer to the touch. Of course this softness quality is important to warmth in that the softer the material the better if conforms to your body movements and therefore keeps you warmer than stiff clothes. I usually like tall items, but regular fits me fine in this shirt. The sleeves are just the way I like them, right down to the top of the thumb joint. I take a 35-36 in dress shirts and usually need a tall in chamois shirts, but this particular shirt fits fine. (which of course means it may be that the sleeves will be a little long for you folks that don't usually require Tall sizes.) The only flaw is that the cuffs are not adjustable, and the one button they have makes the cuff too big. That's fine since the cuff goes down to my thumb joint, but I would like a tighter cuff since that is an opening into which cold air can blow. By the way, to protect my investment, I wash these in cold water and after a short low heat spin in the dryer to get the wrinkles out, I line dry it. There has been no shrinkage when done this way.

I'm a sender 6'0" and these shirts are a PERFECT FIT! The tall / small is an excellent combo. Love the plush material and BIG buttons, too. Thank you L.L. BEAN for looking out for us slender folks! I have all four colors from this season. Please add new colors in 2019!

I've owned LL Bean Chamois cloth shirts since Moby Dick was a minnow, and I have heard many remarks that these shirts are thinner and not the same as they were years ago. I'm quite sure they are confusing them with LL Bean flannel shirts that are of a lighter fabric. I have one that has to be 10 or 15 years old I'm guessing. It was Made in USA with an embroidered streamer over the pocket. ( wish I could get another one), and I can say that the chamois is exactly the same as the Signature 1933 I just bought. The color ( cinnemon ) was just as as illustrated on line, unlike the traditional fit #277981 in Deep Brown which was MUCH darker than the on line picture. I'm 6', 180 and the fit was like a custom made shirt, for me anyway. I still like the regular gift ones too, and I think they might be a bit warmer, because of more trapped air. Pair them up with a silk undershirt, and you're in business!

This is my all time favorite shirt. Feels good, looks good, and made well. It's a little more fitted than the non-signature version of this shirt but it is not a slim fit.

So good to have a small in tall sizes for us lean guys; mediums in the past had just too much fabric through the mid-section.
Great construction, should last years! Soft chamois with just the right thickness for warmth, perfect for wear most of the year here in Maine. Colors are true to images on line. Definitely recommend!!!

Mine was size Medium Tall, Slim Fit, which fits me perfectly. The pockets are big enough to button over an iPhone 6, unlike older chamois shirts. Of course phones are getting bigger now too.

I love this shirt. I typically wear it a layer over my light flannel. It's extremely comfortable, and looks great.

Ok, now we are talking. I have about 10 chamois shirts from LL Bean, going back as far as the 50s. The early ones are soft and warm, but lately the newer ones from the 2000s are stiffer and thinner material. I thought I would give these signature series a try and I am happy to report they have gone back to making them soft again. I am only speaking about the Signature series (which is why I put it in the title). I loved this shirt the moment I put it on. Soft and the fit is perfect. I am 6'3 and weight 180 so the slim is perfect for me. The only suggestion is to make the cuff a little more snug, not much, just a little.

We own several of these shirts - they are a generous fit in the regular sizes, but they also offer a slim fit. We bought the latest one at the LLBean store. Such a fun place to visit for Californians!

It's Fall again. I've had three of these shirts in different colors. They wear great and laundering a breeze. I've had them for three years and colors still look new. My girl friend wanted me to have one in Navy Blue. Alas that is not an option. Sniffle, sniffle.

I bought two of these for my husband. They are soft and comfortable, but look put together and nice. It's a great shirt to pair with jeans and go out, or work in the yard

I'm usually hesitant to review a product right after I receive it. Hence,I bought this slim fit chamois shirt about 2 months ago.
Now I know what all the hype is all about and it isn't just hype. I love how thick this shirt is, it looks great, feels great. Perfect for cold Michigan.
It does seem to be very durable material and I expect to wear it for a LONG time. May even consider buying another chamois shirt-different color.

I sent the 1933 Signature Chamois Shirt in grey heather to my son who is away at college. I received this text from him: "The shirt is great! Fits great, feels great, looks great! Thank you" I guess he likes his shirt!

I like this shirt. I'm 5' 10'', 165 lbs and on the break point between small and medium shirt size. My experience with L.L. Bean products is that they run a bit large for me. My first order of this shirt in medium was returned at no cost to me for a small which I am much happier with. The shirt is warm, well made, and a very conformable wear. L.L. Bean sell great products and their customer support could not be better.

This was a gift for a person who did not like the baggy fit of his older chamois shirts, but is very pleased with the fit of this one. The material is soft and warm, as well.

The regular LL Bean chamois shirt in xxl is too big for me and the xl is too small; however, these Signature chamois shirts fit me perfectly in xxl. Best of all I love the retro styling with the big, dark buttons and get compliments on them all the time. At present, I own seven of them in different plaids and solids. One shirt came with a tear in it. Called LL Bean and they sent a replacement in less than a week.

Over the years, I have bought a few of Bean's chamois shirts. One of their attributes is that of a (relatively) unchanging product during changing times. The Signature shirt, due to its heritage, shows that even Bean's chamois shirts can change. The thing is, I really like the older styling provided by the Signature version. Otherwise, it appears to be as well-made as the shirts I have owned before now.
One suggestion: extra buttons sewn onto the tail or lower placket would be welcome.
