I really like this sweater and I now have two, one blue, one grey. They're very warm and comfortable for the late fall/winter months. However, after just two years, my first sweater wore through in the elbows. Naturally, I was disappointed and I don't believe I was especially hard on it. So, I've ordered patches. Anyway, just be aware that the sweater may wear out before you think it should.

It is a very nice sweater but the tall is too tall and full. We have reordered and look forward to an extra large regular for my husband.

Love the material! But the fit seems off. My husband usually wears a large because the sleeves and waist are otherwise too short. So I got a medium tall for him in this sweater, and it swallows him, even though the length fits. Just very unflattering, in my opinion.

It's a thick and warm sweater but my husband said the sweater is very itchy. The only way he can wear it is with a long sleeve button down dress shirt underneath.

The lambs wool is very coarse and will be rough on people with sensitive skin. The sweater is also slightly oversized- perfect for the outdoors, but a little sloppy if you're wearing to a party or dinner.

I returned this. It was too hot. It was also too big (Size L). As soon as I got indoors, I had to take it off. I then selected a lambswool sweater that I like much better.

A gift for my husband. The wool is warm, and it fits well- BUT it is pilling terribly after wearing it only once. This may be returned.

Nice and comfy, but too long, makes it look too casual.

Fit well in the shoulders but too big in the body and arms. Returned the sweater so unable to evaluate overall quality of the sweater. Hope to order the small size which, presently, is out of stock.

Purchased two of these sweaters and both have very bad button attachment. I've only worn each 4 or 5 times and have discontinued buttoning them as after several times the buttons just fell off. If not for this problem would've given 5 stars and a positive recommendation.

It started instantly pilling! Wool could have been smoother. Oh well.

A bit tight and short Needs another inch or two longer and the XXL size

I ordered the sweater in XXL tall. The XXL was correct but the tall was not as tall as talls had been in past. Great style just too short when I raised my arm.

I love my two previously purchased ragg sweaters, but this tall long size is skimpy on the material. The stated size is identical for each of the three, but this one is tighter and shorter. Should work, but the change is not appreciated.

Bought a different style Bean wool sweater for my son in XL Tall and it was much too big. So I ordered this in L Tall and it was much too tight. So I have to return it. Dang! Don't know if I can buy another wool sweater for him thru Bean. Dang! Otherwise the quality is terrific.

Too large for my husband who usually wears lg well. Also, he felt it was too heavy for our Kentucky climate

The sweater is warm and looks good. The collar is uncentered when not buttoned (perhaps by design), and the sleeves and the body of the sweater are a bit short.

I loved this sweater - it was warm and lice to wear! But in just two seasons the the elbow wore out. It would be good if the elbow can be strengthened somehow - maybe a patch? or different weave? Not sure how you would do it but it would help improve the life of the sweater. But for this problem, I would give it a minimum of 4 stars, maybe 5.

This is a rugged, heavy wool henley. I like the look and the fit, I just wish it was made of a higher quality wool. It's pretty scratchy and the collar comes up pretty high on your neck. Not recommended if you have sensitive skin.

Returned upon arrival; the wool is incredibly scratchy on your neck and must be worn with a collared shirt in order to be tolerable for any time period longer than five minutes. Don't want to have to wear a collared shirt every time I wear it. Armpits were droopy creating an old-school, un-modern fit.

Great sweater. Just not long enough for my tall husband. Great quality. He is 6'2"" with a little around the middle. So he likes a long sweater that doesn't ride up. Two more inches would have done it. But a great sweater.

Very disappointed with this item. Very pilly right out of the bag as well as a what appear to be a couple of minor defects. I would return it if I lived close to a store.

I bought this sweater about two months ago, and have worn it several times. The collar has started to come loose from the body, and the wool is pilling very badly. The buttons are not sewn on well. All that is unfortunate because it is warm and comfortable.

Even with long sleeves under it, it was uncomfortably itchy forf me.

I purchased a small like I have done in the past. But unlike the previous 2 which I have purchased over a few years this one was too small. The fit was tight and sleeves too short. Difficult to get anything other than a thin shirt under it. So I figured try a medium as that might fit like my older onesalmost but nope too large. Not sure what LL Bean is doing with their sizing but my older 2 were made in China and the newest 2 were made in Jordan.
