So happy to have a neutral Ultraventure. I used to roll my ankles all of the time in the 2s I believe because it was a light stability pronation shoe. As a supinator I'm so excited about this shoe. Was skeptical about the new bottoms, but I have to say I feel even less rocks now, not sure why, might be the large divot in the middle of the bottom of the shoe I don't know but I don't feel rocks at all in this model. Thanks for listening and finally making my favorite show neutral.

I got these for trail running. Love them except one problem. There is tons of room in toebox, but not on the little toe side. This is because, at least for my foot, the instep of my foot is hanging way over the sole, and the height of the instep is forcing the front of my foot over to the other side of the shoe, thus smashing my smaller toes together, meanwhile leaving tons of room for my big toe. Surely I'm not the only one ? ! I love that there is NO place for pebbles to get stuck in the tread. Yay!-Please never change this! The laces came untied often - check out Altras new "Experience Wild" for awesome laces I would love to see y'all emulate/improve upon. Soles have great grippy-ness. Toe protection is very good - so very important for trail running- please do not change, unless you make it even better. I personally think to perfect these you just need a redesigned sole for it to align correctly, which doesn't force the toes over. I had to retire mine early for lost toenails because of this one problem. One of your best looking shoes- thanks- (yes, I care)

The Topo Ultraventure comes incredibly close to being the perfect trail shoe. One of its standout features is the soft heel counter, which is a game-changer for those with Haglund's deformity. Topo, if you're listening, please don't ever change this feature in fact, you should consider marketing it, as many of us are looking for just that kind of comfort. At first glance, the outsole might not seem impressive, but don't be fooled. Even with significant wear, the traction holds up surprisingly wellbetter than the Hoka Speedgoat, Altra Lone Peak, and many other shoes I've tried. The only shoe that comes close in this regard is the Altra Olympus 5. These shoes grip everythingwet rocks, loose gravel, loamyou name it. The fit runs true to size, and the durability is unmatched by anything I've worn from Hoka or Altra. My only critique is that the Ultraventure could use a bit more medial support. I find myself pronating slightly more in these compared to other shoes in this category. It would be great if Topo could enhance the stability to be more in line with models like the Mafate 4, Olympus, or even the Speedgoat. Overall, I've converted many Altra and Hoka diehards into happy Topo Ultraventure fans. Thanks for creating such a fantastic shoe, and please, Topo, continue offering more options with that soft heel counter!

I love these shoes! They fit great, they are very durable, and they are extremely comfortable. My only issue the treads are not very deep or aggressive, so they are not perfect for heavy duty use like Spartan competition. I'd love to see either this model add aggressive treads or another model with better treads add wide width options.

These are the most incredible trail shoes I've tried and I've tried every single pair. I was having a lot of issues with plantar fasciitis and had to find something with more support than my last pair of altras. These shoes have the absolute perfect mix between cushioning and responsiveness, the zipfoam is fantastic. The laces stay tied too, which is really nice. There are two improvements I'd love to see in the next iteration please: a much better insole. These are expensive shoes and it's frustrating to have to buy an aftermarket insole. They are very flimsy and offer little support. Secondly, I'd love a slightly more supportive heel cup as I do have to tie them quite tight, using the runners loop technique, to avoid heel slippage. With these two changes, these shoes would be perfection. Nice work Topo!!!

New to the brand. Loved other brand zero drop, roomy box for years. Wanted a change. Glad I did. Looking forward to trying the other styles as well.

I use them for 90% trail running and 10% pavement running. The lugs on the soles have worn almost completely flat after only 150 miles. Otherwise they have held up well and the cushion is still in good shape. I love the fit and the wide toe box for my flippers, so I will be buying another pair when the soles are completely worn out. I hope they change the rubber compound on future soles.

The Ultraventure has been the perfect shoe for me on the AT..I started with Altras, and the durability was a major issue. I switched to the Topos after about 200 miles, and put 530 pairs on the first pair, and now onto pair 2..This will be the style I will continue wearing for the duration of the Appalachian Trail

It is so hard to find trail shoes that are wide enough for 4E that have cushion! Please keep making this Topo as they've been a game changer for me while recovering from hammer toe surgery. I use to run in 2E wide trail shoes and that is what resulted in me needing to get hammer toe surgery, so these shoes have been a game changer. My only suggesting is that the tongue be a little more stretchy material, and the inside of the shoe to not be such a rough fabric.

I think this is a great choice for someone looking for a shoe for road-to-trail/ gravel trails/ moderate technical trails. I love how plush the shoe feels underfoot, there is plenty of room in the toe-box, and overall the shoe still feels really solid after 250 miles of mostly trail running. The tread/ lugs are where this shoe falls short. The previous Ultraventure model (UV2) had far more rugged and durable lugs underfoot. They hardly wore out after 400+ miles. My tread/ lugs are almost worn out after 250 miles, and do not provide the traction I am looking for for muddy/ steep/ rocky terrain. I am going to try out the MTN Racer models to see if that model covers the rugged trail category better than this model. Overall, I think there are some great improvements made compared to the Ultraventure 2, but I feel that there is a major setback with the less rugged/ lower quality lugs and tread underfoot. See my comparison picture of Blue UV2's with 400+ mi, and Grey UV3's with 250 miles. There is considerably more tread left on the Blue UV2's than the Grey UV3's. My advice to TOPO for their next Ultraventure model: Improve the lugs/ tread. That is the feature that blew me away on my initial pair of UV2's. I would exclusively buy a UV4 shoe with the UV3 improvements and UV2 tread/ lugs combined, and tell all my friends to buy them too.

Ultrarunner. Been churning through different brands for years trying to find something to stick with. Have the wide forefoot, regular heel problem. Topo has been growing on me as a company-- they seem to do their own research and design based on a large population of runners, instead of optimizing to the ratings of a few well-known review sites. This is the only ultrarunning shoe on the market that comes in a wide that I've had any luck with, and it is a very comfortable long-distance shoe. The midfoot and heel are well-designed and very secure. The heel shape is great for me and I've never gotten a blister in these over lots of uphill slogging. And thanks Topo for the laces that are long enough to be able to use the extra lacing holes. On the very scant negative side, Topo needs to up their game on the lifespan of the midsole. I get about 1/3 the life out of the Ultraventure as I can with with the up-and-coming boutique brands. And Topo, what the heck is that terrible insole doing in this wonderful shoe? It belongs in the lining of a couch cushion, not a trail running shoe.

I have a really hard time finding women's running shoes that are wide enough for my feet, and a lot of the time men's shoes are still too narrow. These shoes were immediately comfortable and wide enough for my feet. The large toe box is another huge plus! I'm a 10.5 women's but fit into a size 9 mens. My only wish is that they didn't look like shoes my dad would wear - better colors would be a plus!

Have a nerve issue in big toe, so wear the Ultra 2. Very comfortable, my custom orthotics slip easily into them. Mainly wear them for walking and lifestyle. Overall very happy with shoes, but not thrilled with color options on Ultra 3. Loved the blue/gray on the 2's.

I am a loyal wearer of Topos for road + trail running and also day hiking. Always enjoy the wider toe box, and the slight drop (3-5mm) feels better on my feet than a zero drop shoe. Cushioning seems pretty good in this model also.

One of the more comfortable shoes I've worn. I do feel like the shoe last curves inward too much. The midsole cushioning is great, and the stack height feels just right. My main issue that the engineered mesh (never like it) has a layer of foam or padding behind it, that really feels warm. I don't typically notice hot feet, but these always feel warm to me. I wish Topo would make a pair of these in the same material the 1st Mtn Racer had. also wish Topo would get better colors.

First off, the shoe in wide width has the most amazing "toe box" that I've ever experienced! So roomy, it's a wide shoe lover's heaven. However, had to return my 12s for a size bigger because my toe was hitting the from pretty bad - this hasn't ever happened with other brands. Also, I could use more EVA in the midsole to be perfect for me, but honestly I had no metatarsal pain after a heavy hike. Lastly, they need padding in the tongue because when laced up tight, it hurts the top of the foot.

Used these for a 50-mile trail run and a 20 mile mountain run plus a couple short training runs in the local town forest. They have good cushion and I feel they return more energy/bounce than my SpeedGoats, Olympus 4, and Lone Peaks. They are a 5-star to me in terms of fit and feel. The only issue I had very early is the toe cap starting to peel back on both shoes. I know Altra solved for this with stitching to hold it down. Not a big deal as I just glued them back down. In terms of size I wear 10.5 or 10.5 Wide in Altra and Hoka and these are the same10.5. Also the same for my MTN Racer 2's

Love Topo and all the shoes I have had so far. Much better than Altra's. This shoe could be even better if they added some more aggressive thread like the thread on the MTN Racer. That would be dreamy. The only thing I'd suggest you copy from Altra is their color choices for men. The look could definitely improve.

Love the wide green show, actually two pair - one to work out in indoors and another for outside. The outsole does seems to wear oit after 6 mos (15miles/day) and the soles themselves have flattened. Please make more wide color options?

Good, but - the orange color is true to the pictures but I guess my color expectation was not met. I thought I was getting a brighter orange. I wish the tread was a little more aggressive. Other than that the shoes feel great.

I'm hiking the CDT. I thought I'd try these coming out of Grants NM to solve my blister problem. Very comfortable but I have a lot of shin pain and numbness in the feet. I'm switching back to the Trail ULTRAVENTURE PRO for the rock plate with 1/2 size larger. Hopefully I won't get blisters again.

Hiking trails with my canine's. Cushion level is perfect for my 66 year old knees and feet. Word of caution though on ordering the right size as I had to return 10.5 size for size 11 and it took almost a month to get my return back. Which was very disappointing.

Perfect for those long easy days with ample cushion along with a good rocker feel for up tempo efforts. I felt like these are a bit wider in midfoot than last iteration. Would reach for Mtn Racer for any more technical terrain but overall loving the update
