I have had many - shoes for the trails. This one is right on the price point and comfort scale that I have been expecting!! Keep it up Salamon!

Yes - the performance is well documented in the advert but for a guy (me) thats has no fashion sense its a great way to show that I might have some. Personally the rocker style I believe has helped me on long trail runs with the spring in my step but it for sure helps having them on at the end of the run cause to me my feet still felt good.

Quite in love with these rascals. My favorite shoe for off pavement and non-technical trail running. Light and sassy. Also. they look snazzy. The wife likes the bright orange. Says itll help rescuers find my body easier.

Bought this shoe two weeks ago. Was hoping its a stable lightweight hiking shoe. But its not super solid first of all not a snug fit nor good grip on the ground. And the tightening of the shoe is semi good laces way too long and hiding laces in mesh is not great. Plus they get dirty during hiking obviously and no way to clean them really so even though only 2 weeks old they already look terrible :( not happy

This is my first pair of Salomon's, super excited to start running in them after hearing nothing but great things. The shoes felt perfect, but on my very first run the insoles started slipping like crazy. Very dangerous, even on the most casual jogs. I switched the insoles out with an old pair of New Balance insoles, and they worked perfectly. Disappointed that I had to do that in the first place, but after a year later this is far and away my favorite shoe even with the insole issue.

I bought this pair of shoes for the PDGA World Championships that were held in here in June in Emporia Ks, and they worked out great. As always Salomon shoes reign superior on the course. Trail walking, steep uneven tarin was no problem for the Sense Ride 5. Highly recommend 110% Very Comfortable all day long no issues at all.

I use the Sense Ride 5 for its advertised purpose, which are runs that incorporate a variety of surfaces from asphalt to trails. It is a good versatile shoe, that wears well and holds up to the demands of variable footing. I will also add that the fit is very snug, and therefore the shoe is tough to get on your foot. But once in place, it is comfortable and responsive. Similar to S-Lab models.

The shoes are light but not soft, there's a part on the top front of the shoe that feels really tight and hurt my feet when I walk, overall they're not comfortable

The Solomon Sens Ride 5 is one of my favorite trail shoes. Ive tried a number of brands as well as a variety of Solomons, and Ive come back to the Sens Rides. The shoe feels low to the ground, providing the control Im after while still offering just enough cushion to put in a lot of miles. It has good grip, and has held up well after a lot of mountain miles.

Great fit, comfort and style. Very breathable fabric to keep your feet cool. This is the second pair of the Sense Ride Ive had. The first pair finally gave out after three years.

I've logged about 50 miles in the shoes so far in a mix of road and trail. The shoes feel plush on the road and sturdy on the trail terrain. Perfect shoe for mixed training. Look forward to running the shoes into the ground!

This is my second pair of Sense Ride (replacing my Sense Ride 3's). This shoe feels the same in terms of comfort and grip on mixed terrain. I run in all weather they work great. Only minor issue has been the insole on one shoe sliding back on occasions. Overall very glad I purchased these.

These are my 2nd pair and they are some of the most comfortable and longest lasting running shoes Ive ever had. My first pair just wont die! Turned them into yard shoes 3 years ago and they are still going. If this pair lasts as long as the first Ill be super stoked!!

Ive been wearing Sense Rides for years. They were a terrific fit until these. Im not sure if they are actually narrower or just more rigid, but they are way tighter mid foot into my toe box.

Just finished logging 136 mi on the Sense 5's this morning.
I do mostly fast walks, interval runs and trail hikes.
The heel has a soft cushion that works well on hard surfaces, but doesn't do well on the gravel backroads of Kansas. Work great on most trail surfaces though.
The only issue I've had is with the quick lace feature: a YouTube video explained how it works, but I couldn't keep the rolled up lace tucked in the pocket. Thr top crossover of the laces fell right at edge of the pocket and there wasn't enough room to tuck it in properly. After a few trial and errors, I figured out that pulling the edge of the pocket toward the toe of the shoe BEFORE snugging down the lace clip would leave the pocket more exposed and allow the rolled laces to slip behind the black elastic of the pocket.
LOVE the snug feeling of the footbed when these puppies are cinched up!

Great show to run in but the insoles slide around all over the place making them really uncomfortable over longer distance

Shoes are cool and supportive, but the fit in the front is too tight, which results in serious callus just after one steep descent. Get 1 size bigger than you are used to wear

I absolutely love the fit and overall comfort of this shoe! I wish it had a bit more cushion in the fore foot but that's definitely not a deal breaker.

Used the Sense4s for The Pyrenean Haute Route and gave the perfect balance between support and trail feel. Picked up the 5s for hiking in the Grand canyon and Sedona and was really impressed, feel like theres abit more support and dry real quick. Also my feet didn't get to hot in the desert so breathability is bonza. For joggin i find them good for 10miles out more and i prefer the extra cushion of the ultraglide/glidemax tr.

I was looking for some shoes to take my dog on some long hikes with every day. These fit the the bill and then some. Enough traction for any trail, but not too aggressive for indoors.

I have a pair of Sense Ride 2s the I had used only periodically until. I always admired the lacing systems snug, secure fit. Up until recently I got my trail fix on MTB, but life doesnt provide 1-4 hours off from dad-duty to ferry the bike out to a trail system, ride and return. Running is low prep, high reward. The Sense Ride platform is light and supportive, with plenty of bounce and feel both on and off the road. Just ordered a new pair this AM and cant wait to break them in with some fresh spring mud.

Ive run in the Sense Ride 3 and 4 and they seemed to get better with each update. I loved them. The new 5 has major issues. First thing I notice is that the insoles slide out. The second issue is that I feel rocks under my big toe. The fit is improved, but I dont like the heel, which was great on the previous version. The energy foam is great as well, except for feeling everything under the big toe. This shoe was a major disappointment and I hope Salomon can correct it sooner than later
