I was in need of a water proof shoe that would work well on pavement for my morning dog walks in the rainy PNW. This shoe fits the task extremely well. The only problem, which happens with all LL BEAN shoes, is the heel is too tight. I'm slowly able to stretch this pair out, and it's worth it to have water proof walking shoes that provide support and comfort!! I can walk miles in these shoes.

Comfortable, lightweight trail shoe. The traction is good for relatively smooth dirt trails, not for slippery rocks and roots. So far the waterproof feature has kept my feet dry in wet grass and in rain.

Sadly, this shoe didn't work for me. The sides were too high and rubbed my ankle. Otherwise the fit is great. I wear a 7 dress shoe and 7.5 sneaker, and the 7.5 fit my foot perfectly.

Sides are high and hit awkwardly on the ankle - causing pain after walking.

Waterproof shoes are practical and helpful. On hot days, they feel too warm.

the trail runner shoes are pretty great. I do wish the toe box was more of a gradual and wider curve. if my feet swell a bit my toes feel a little
cramped feeling the edges, sides, of toe box.
I know it is healthier for my feet to not wear pointed shoes.
The waterproof-ness is great. I was unconcerned wearing them daily in a rugged Ireland trip recently!

I love the look and fit of these shoes. My custom orthotics fit in them so I can comfortably wear them all day; on walks and casual hikes on dry ground. I gave them four stars because they are slippery on wet surfaces such as wet leaves or rocks/concrete. Not true hiking shoes.

I have high arches and the insoles in these are flat so I didn't expect them to fit at all but they do! The insole is thin but it feels like memory foam and is very comfortable. They also accommodate my orthotics very well so I believe they are keepers! I wish they were available in a gray color. The look of them takes some getting used to as they don't exactly fit my idea of an athletic shoe, however, I have very hard to fit feet w Morton's neuroma and I'm thrilled to have shoes that feel good. There is also plenty of room in the toe box. I ordered my usual size 8 and feel they are true to size. Light weight and still supportive.

A very good looking shoe, bought it for my upcoming trip to Alaska. Unfortunately I had to return because it pinched a little bit and I knew that wasn't going to be comfortable walking around like that. I don't normally wear a wide width.

Bought these one year ago. Wore them on dry pavement last summer and they were fine, but in the rain this summer, they were absolutely not waterproof.

I love the cushoning on these shoes and the fact that they are waterproof, but I returned them because they were hitting my ankle bone due to the cut around the ankle. I have a prominent ankle bone, so this may not affect you the same way.

I thought this shoe might be better for someone who pronates. One shoe seemed to tilt just a bit and it rubbed my ankle. It was a really nice shoe and I had been looking for a lightweight waterproof shoe. It was a good looking shoe too so I was really disappointed I had to return it.

I found these mostly wearable and attractive. I always prefer shoes in neutral colors, which these have. The main drawback is the pointy toe, which is impractical for hiking. These are okay for light walking, but painfully rub my big toe after more than a short time. So I kept them for walking, especially in wet weather, but I often wonder what could LLB have been thinking to label these hiking shoes.

So close but I would need to size up I think to make it work. My normal size is 8.5, it was just a bit too tight in the toe box. Decided not to size up. Beautiful shoe though.

This hiking sneaker is attractive, yet sturdy. Be aware that it is a very narrow shoe. I had to go a half size up to fit my foot inside, resulting in extra empty length. I cannot wear them more than a couple of hours before my foot begins to ache. I wouldn't buy them again, but someone else whose foot is narrower probably would be pleased.

This wasn't a shoe that I kept. The sides pushed against my anklebone. Not enough of a gap there.

seemed to fit fine in the store but on my first walk out with them I got bad blisters very early in the walk. May have been too wide in the heel? I returned them.

The shoes looked and felt great, but didn't offer enough support for my flat feet. I returned them. :<

Not the same shoe as purchased 18 months prior. The 9 1/2 was bigger, and the height at ankle top of laces higher. Shoe did not even shed water from wet grass, my feet were almost immediately wet when walking across early morning lawn, which was a major factor in my purchase

I loved my first pair and bought a second, however his pair lasted 10 months before the sole wore out, water leaked in. What happened to your quality control?
