A follow-up to my earlier review: I've finally had a chance to try these out hiking and going through damp grass and terrain. My feet stayed dry, and the shoes stayed comfortable. Winner!!!

I bought these to have a low hiker sneaker to where up in the mountains for everyday. They felt comfortable from the start and look nice too.

I've had bad luck with hiking shoes in the past--they've always been too heavy and too stiff, and end up exacerbating my Morton's neuroma. When I saw these shoes billed as lightweight, I decided to give them a try, and I've very glad that I did. To be honest, I haven't yet taken them on a lengthy hike, and I haven't tested how waterproof they are. But I wore them on a long day of shopping and errands, and they felt every bit as comfortable as my usual sneakers. I'm sure they'll hold up well when I finally get a chance to try them out on the trail.

The perfect hiking shoes for my trip to Portugal! We did a lot of climbing stone steps and hiking. They were so comfortable, cushioned and breathable! Nice arch & support. I did very little walking beforehand to break them in. Very happy with them. Definitely size up by 1 or 1/1/2. I normally wear a 7M so went to an 8.

Very comfortable shoes. It hasn't rained so no chance to evaluate their being waterproof. Had to order 11 since there was no 10 1/2, but they seem fine. Bought them for a trip to Scotland that will involve much walking.

These sneaks fit perfectly! They're cut & comfortable and go with everything! Haven't worn them on a hike yet because I don't want to mess them up but I will!

I liked these shoes so much that I just ordered another pair to have for the future. I wanted a waterproof shoe. They were comfortable right out of the box, are light weight, and the color is true to the picture. It's nice that they are offered in two widths as I have a narrower foot and the medium fit well. Super happy with this purchase.

Put them on and wear them. I wear a wide shoe - 8.5 or 9. I bought 9 - no wide option and they fit very comfortably. Will wear them in the yard and walking in woods and sidewalks. Can't wait to try them in the rain.

I walked the challenging streets of Lisbon, Portugal in comfortable and safe walking shoes! The cobblestones would have been difficult if it were not for the perfect footwear I wore daily. Thank you L.L.BEAN

beautiful color, great grippy tread, stable foot bed. I'm a med wdth 7, but have slim feet. I can wear thick wool socks, which I prefer. minimal break in needed. I needed to stretch the curve at the top of the heel.

These shoes are super comfortable as far at the footbed/insole, toebox, and back of the heel go. No issues at all right out of the box. I have slightly wider feet, but the medium width is perfect for me.
Here's the "but" (two, really): the edge of the shoe rubs against my outside ankle bone. It's not bad enough to return them, I don't think. I'm going to see if it adjusts the more I wear them. The other thing is that they make a funny little noise with every step, more a click than a squeak. It's driving me bonkers, and that might actually be enough for me to send them back. Which stinks, because I really do like them.

I love the look of these shoes--they were exactly the style I was hoping to find that would let me blend in on rainy city streets but also be good for some walking off the concrete. They run too narrow for me and are a bit lightweight for my orthotics. I think they'd work well for someone with a narrower foot who doesn't need special insoles.

Loved the look, but got a blister on my heel the first time I wore them, so obviously my usual size 7.5 didn’t fit as well as it needed to.

I liked everything about this shoe but they are not comfortable for me. The seam that wraps around the back of the shoe right below the ankle padding is hard and stiff and digs into the sides and back of my heal when I'm walking creating pressure points and rubbing. Will be returning.

I purchased this same shoe a few years ago and enjoyed wearing them often. Only complaint would be for more cushion and thicker sole. The shoe has started to come apart near the toe and tread/sole is very thin. I don't expect this new shoe to be any different in terms of wear.

I have only worn these twice so this review may be updated in the future. I wanted waterproof and there are not always good choices other than heavy hiking shoes. I find the shoes comfortable. I purchased 1/2 size bigger for length as I have a hammer toe and the extra room in the toe box helps. I decided to use my orthotic inserts because I did not find the arch support very good. The footbed pad does remove if you need additional room for another more supportive insert. I really like the color but that is usually not my priority. At this point I would recommend these for walkers. I am hoping they have a good grip on wet surfaces. I usually take an 8 1/2 med but purchased a 9.
