Got a size 8 wide, and they are not that wide. They are plenty long for an 8, but the pair I got years ago and loved were wider. Also you can only get them in lace up now and I had really liked the Velcro latches the first pair had. The insole has NO arch support and and is about 1/16 thick so again to add any insole you lose more of the so called wide effect.

This is my 4th pair of these sneakers. They are warm and comfortable for my daily cold weather walks. Im so glad L.L.Bean continues to offer these gems.

Nice boot, made well. The sole was hard on my sensitive feet and there could have been more toe room for heavy socks. Too bad. I liked this boot.

I also bought the low version. Both in black. I will be returning these. Sorry to say they are ugly. Wish they came in different colors.

Loved my first pair, despite not being waterproof as advertised. This pair is more water resistant, but not waterproof. Also, who's dumb idea was it to use cloth eyelets? Fabric laces, fabric eyelets. No wonder the first eyelet broke after 3 months.

Nice looking boots. A bit too big in length. But no 6.5 in wide was available. Ive not had the opportunity to wear them yet. My last pair was great for 10 years or so with the velcro closure. Wish these were the same.

Although I've bought Bean's snow sneakers three times over past years and loved them, they have made changes and quality doesn't seem as good. In addition, these weren't a good fit for me as the top of the boot hit at low-shin, making for an uncomfortable fit. Wish I could keep them, but will be returning them.

Really really really wanted to love these ... needed a pair of warm comfortable boots for snowshoeing. When I tried on in the store I didn't really lace them up all the way, I was just checking for general foot comfort and fit. When I got home I laced them up snug and walked around the house for 5 minutes. The folds in the tongue hit right at my ankle bone and rubbed with every step. Unfortunately not suited for a 5-mile snow shoe. Hoping I can find a different style with a different type tongue.

The boots are lightweight, but not terribly comfortable, and they make a plastic crinkling sound with every step. It's not the sole, its the upper. It's like there's a layer of crinkly plastic between the fleece lining and the leather upper.

I really tried to like these boots. I can wear a B width shoe if there is ample toe room. I ordered these boots in wide and they were still a bit narrow in the toe. They also seem somewhat stiff. I was looking for something soft and flexible and did not find these boots to be either. The tongue portion of the right boot dug into my leg and I have skinny legs. These boots do not feel at all like sneakers. The hooks were a pain in the neck as the laces kept slipping off. What's the point of hooks?

I wanted to love these boots, but they are not a true D width. As soon as I tried one on, it was squeezing my foot. LL Bean used to carry more D width shoes and boots for women. What happened? I know I'm not the only female with wide feet.

I normally wear 7-7.5, but I ordered an 8 thinking fit for different thicknesses of socks and they were still way too small for comfort, all around, with just a medium weight sock.

first off i will say these are super cute. i found them to be very weird size wise. the 7's were too small, the 7.5 size found my toes right up to the very edge of the toe and the 8's? my foot was swimming even with thick socks and with the laces pulled and tied as tight as possible.needless to say i was very disappointed. i have other L.L. Bean shoes and boots and find the sizing to be very consistent. i think it did not help that the store (Victor) did not the high top lace up style to try on and i had to try on the pull on style and order the high top lace ups. sadly i had to return them. i would still recommend them because they are all made and very cute and seemed like, they would be toasty warm.

I unfortunately had to return these because they did not seem to be as wide as my old pair of Snow Sneakers. Granted shoes in general seem to be narrower but between the width and the fact that the top of the one shoe had gotten folded over in the box and permanently had a crease that at times pushed in on my ankle I just couldn't keep them. I am thinking of perhaps trying a men's wide, which I've had to do before to see if that helps.

These boots were for the most part comfy but they were too high on the ankle. They are cute but for me they did not feel good at the ankle.

I'd been looking for winter sneakers that didn't have an open weave top, which is too cold for my feet.
These fit the bill, and I was excited to get them. The right sneaker fit comfortably, but the left one was too tight and painful in the toe box no matter how loosely I tied it.
They're really nice looking, though too stiff and heavy to be called sneakers.
I returned them because of the poor fit of the left shoe.

I had previously bought, and loved a pair of llbean snow sneakers about four years ago. Bought on line, they fit perfectly. This time, I had to order three times to get the right fit. The sizing had changed and inner seams were bumpy and uncomfortable.
There is a local store and I was able to try on different shoes but still had to order on line since the local only had the color I did not want.
My original pair were high tops . Great for support and keeping out snow. This new model is much lower. Not as supportive. We haven't had snow yet.

Purchased these to go to Lapland, Finland with. While they are comfortable they definitely are not warm in the cold. As long as I was walking around town they were fine but when I did any kind of activity in the cold/snow my feet froze.

These boots are cute, but I have high arches and didn't find the boots comfortable to walk in. The insoles are not removable and can't be replaced with something supportive.

These boots are warm and well made, but the top of the boot is too high for my foot and causes tenderness around the ankle. Unfortunately, they will be returned.
