I ordered these and the New Balance 847 to compare comfort. While the Bean Comfort walkers were comfortable, true to size, and provided good support, they were stiff and rather heavy compared to the NB 847; I chose to return the comfort walkers and keep the NB 847.

A little stiff; wearing them around the house right now to beak them in I usually buy new balance but thought I would give these a try have not had to "break in" the north balance, so we will see how these work out

Size is true. I have a narrow foot and they are a bit wide across the middle, but I can lace up the excess to make them stay on. Only issue it that since I need to lace them so tight, the top inside comes up too high and rubs on my ankle bones so can't wear them all day. Otherwise very comfortable and work well for walking to/from work.

Very well made, nice colors, seemed sturdy enough. I do need a better arch support since I have a new ankle joint. I would like to see better arch support, a little too cushy in arches, thats why 4 stars. I think its a good tennis shoe for basic walking or running errands around town. I have double AA width. I take size 9.5 in a street shoe and a 10.5 in a tennis with a 1/4 ankle golf sock. (thin-med. thickness) The 11 was too big for me in width, depth and toes. Size 10 just slightly too snug with sock. I need a 10.5. These were very nice I wish they would have fit me, I had to send back because of not fitting for me in sizes available.

Good and comfortable shoes for walking. I put an insert in for my high arch and now they are close to perfect.

I wanted to like these but the toe box was too narrow. It's kind of pointy compared to another brand I own. Even with loosening the laces, the side of the shoe presses in against my little toe too much. I wear thick cotton socks for walking. Unfortunately, I think I'll have to return these. The sole is nice and supportive.

These shoes are attractive, comfortable and fit true to size. I am able to walk just about all day in them with no discomfort. The only real negative is that they are quite a bit heavier than other athletic shoes I have, and would be difficult to take along when traveling.

The fit is true to size, and the shoes are comfortable on my feet. However, they don't have a lot of cushioning, which is disappointing. If they did, they'd be great shoes!

While I don't agree that these shoes offer good arch support out of the box (I always have to use inserts) I do like that I can get the shoe in a size 11 Wide. It has more room vertically in the toe box than most shoes and I need this due to a claw toe that I struggle to accommodate. I do not readily see what differentiates this shoe as a walking shoe (as compared to a sneaker), but this could just be my ignorance. I do like it for all the room it gives my toes.

Comfort from 1st walk. It is likely my 6th Bean walking shoe. However, the past 2 have had minor quality issues. Out of the box, on first walk: last pair had a sole tread loosen & recent pair has stitching at tongue begin to ravel. I did not return them because minor problems glue & eventually needle to repair stitching will resolve. The shoes are very comfortable & I get many miles out of them.

I ordered my usual size, but these seemed wider than medium. I wore them twice and found them to be comfortable, but decided to return them. They just looked too "bulky" on my feet.

These sturdy shoes provide good foot support with comfort. They are relatively lightweight and have a good balance of flexibility and support. The mesh fabric lets your feet breathe. I like the versatility of the silver gray color.

Like them a lot, they do fit a little bigger than my normal size. But they're good.

I really like these tennis shoes. I use them for exercise walking. I have flat feet and a narrow heel and these fit really well. They also provide strong support for ankles and knees. They could be a little more flexible hence the reason for only four stars. I've been wearing them to walk on my treadmill for a couple of months now and they are still somewhat stiff. I purchased my regular size - 7 and the fit is perfect.

These shoes are very comfortable for me, plus they come in wide which I need for my bunions. The size was a perfect match to my size. I only gave them 4 stars just because they are a bit wide all around, not just in the toe. So if you have swollen ankles these may work well for you in a wide width. I'm planning to buy a second pair, I like them so much. Nice style and go well with anything I wear.

Reasonable quality for a reasonable price. Having foot problems and walking 2 miles total daily I have been seeking the right fit and this shoe is comfortable and appears well made and relatively streamlined for the size I ordered.

The toebox is a little wider than normal, but my issue is really with the eyelets. Why can't they just use all metal eyelets on these shoes? Instead, they 'fixed" what was working just fine by using fabric loops as ties. Shoe fit is always important to me and I can't get my shoes snug fitting. I'll keep them, but will keep looking for quality shoes with all metal eyelets.

These are beautiful shoes and were comfortable immediately. Unfortunately their comfort was because they were wider and longer than my usual 71/2 medium. I could have easily ordered a half size smaller but that wouldn't have helped the width. They are clunky compared to asics or sketchers. I'll keep them to wear with heavy socks in the fall. If you need a deeper toe box these might be good for you.

Very well constructed and comfortable. I have a very average size 7 1/2 foot. This sneaker is a bit wider than other brand sneakers that I buy. I really have to really tighten the shoestrings at the widest part of my foot to keep the sneaker snug enough.

After reading the reviews I thought this shoe would run a little large or wide. However for me the mid part of the toe box was a little tight and uncomfortable. I usually wear an 8 to 8 1/2 medium in most shoes, never a wide. I had considered trying an 8 1/2 Medium but did not feel like that would solve the problem so I returned them. They appear to be well made and are very stylish and attractive for sneakers. I wish they had worked for me!
