These shoes have adequate arch support and keep my foot in the proper position for walking and standing. Color is nice and they are well made. I am a size 10 1/2 and I got the 11's because there is no 10 1/2 and they are comfortable but slightly too big and I have to wear a very thick sock with them or my feet slide around. If I'm walking on uneven ground this is a problem but on flat paved surfaces it is okay. They are not for walking on trails as they have no real traction (check image of soles.)

Nice shoe but I have very needy feet and these unfortunately did not work for me

It's a nice shoe. It's a little tight in the toe box even though it should be a wide width. The sole is a great thickness. It makes me feel a little taller. It's a little heavier than I thought it would be, but not so heavy that it becomes uncomfortable.

The Navy color I've been wanting for from L.L.Bean and the fit is just right and room for toes! The white laces made my feet look wide, so I bought navy stretch laces, I wore them with stretch ties for a couple of weeks before I turned them into slip ons with no tying. I wish you would have more fitness walkers that wouldn't tie. It's a hassle for the older folks. I do have to use a shoe horn for my left foot with the knee replacement. The fitness walkers are perfect for volunteering at a local hospital, because visitors need guidance to know where to go.

I wanted a walking shoe that was not so heavy. The shoe looked and felt okay, but not for the type of walking I do.

These shoes have excellent support and would have been great for me had the toe box been wide enough to accommodate my bunion in the regular width. The wide width was just too big for my heels. I am impressed with the quality of this shoe for the price!

I bought these on the Cape and it made all the difference in comfort when we were walking trails. They are supportive and comfortable, for the most part. I bought my regular size. It's a bit tight in the toe box on my left foot, but I seldom find shoes that fit perfectly. I bought my regular size.

So far, so good. I have a problem right foot (broken toe as a child) but haven't experienced any where close to the rubbing pain on my little to that I usually feel with new shoes. These are going to be my new "go to" daily shoe.

I loved the feel of these shoes the moment I put them on! They were cushiony and comfortable. I would recommend these to anyone. They look good also!

Very comfortable and supportive, though a bit stiff when new. Very happy with the shoes.

Shoes are very comfortable for walking, which I do at least 3 to 4 miles per day. They aren't the most attractive shoes, however.

Run a little wide, I am Medium width but on narrow side. The shoe has good structure for support; so far inside heel wearing well. Many shoes wear out fast in that area. Good walking shoe with my inserts, even wore them golfing. Good traction. I use the stretchy, no tie laces so I can tighten up more.

My job requires a lot of standing. They are comfortable for that. I purchased them in Wides. But if they came in Extra Wide (EE) I would get that width that next time or half size up. I came home tonight in a total downpour via public transit my feet stayed dry.

Comfortable as the name implies. There is a tendency to tilt the foot forward on one's toes.

Very nice shoe, but for my feet, the depth (distance from sole to top) was too deep and gapped. So, unfortunately I needed to return.

the shoe was a great fit with one exception - the sides were too high for my foot. The sides of the shoes were rubbing against my ankle bones when I walked. Its not that the shoe was to narrow, because it fit across my foot just fine.

I was so happy to finally see a woman's athletic shoe on this site in a wide width. The insole can be removed, if needed, to accommodate an orthodic. Shoes seems well padded for a comfortable fit. Unfortunately, I had to return as I need extra wide shoes due to arthritic feet. Just not wide enough for me.

I must have extra wide feet. The shoes were not quite wide enough, so I returned them.

These are comfortable, attractive walking shoes. I bought the silver/gray color, and they took great. I am one of those people whose feet fall between size 10 and size 11. Many manufacturers don't make a 10.5; so you buy up or down. I bought size 11. The shoes offer reasonable support and are holding up well. The toe box is generous, but the shoes fit more like a wide than a medium width, especially compared to other LL Bean shoes I have. It would be great to have more shoes offered in a 10.5 or even 11.

The show is well made and designed. Fit is another issue. I am a perfect size 39 in European sizing such as Dansko and Naot. these were quite short. I returned them for a 1/2 size up and find them rather narrow for a medium width - I've never had a wide fit before. I'm in the middle of rehab for balance so I couldn't afford the time to return them again.

These are very comfortable shoes. I've walked my dogs for miles in them. I gave them a four because I really wish they were a little more flexible. I've certainly given them time to break in and they are still pretty stiff. I'm still wearing them because otherwise they working very well for me. And they look really cute too!

Very well made shoe. Roomy toebox. Would like a higher arch and softer insole.

I put on these shoes and walked around the house - comfortable. I walked to the mailbox and then around the large block - still comfortable, good cushioning. They are out of the box wearable. I haven't taken a long walk in them it and I have not walked on gravel or a trail. That is the only reason for a four-star rating.
I ordered 1/2 size larger than my usual office casual shoe size. I've learned this from experience in order to have wiggle room while walking. The toe box is an excellent size; I can wiggle my toes. I like the ability to do that. I lace my shoes at the ankle to create a loop in order to adjust the fit at the top of my foot. The laces are plenty long to do that and then tie a double knot.
I was preparing to order trail walkers from a leading manufacturer for $30 more. This shoe showed up in my email inbox. I am very glad that I ordered them.
They aren't jazzy looking. I ordered Navy - so it's just Navy and white. I am pleased with my purchase. After testing them with longer walks, I may order the grey or loden/brown.
