It is a bit wider in the toe that a medium usually is, which for me is a good thing. For my aging and spreading foot, a wide width is too wide,but often medium is snug in the toe. A longer length is not an option. I wish more medium width shoes were designed like this. I have worn it for long walks and it is so comfortable that I don't feel the need to kick it off as soon as I return home. More comfortable than the last version of this shoe which I bought 3 or 4 years ago.

After trying 3 other mail order/return shoes (from top shoe companies including Orthopedic specialists) I found success with these shoes. I have arthritis and huge bunions, but am an everyday walker - 2-3 miles daily. Comfortable shoes are a must and these fit the bill - great looking as well!

These shoes fit well and are comfortable to wear on my almost daily 4.5 mile walks.

I have been buying shoes with gel in the soles for years, but find these shoes even more cushioned feeling. I bought a pair of the insulated ones for winter, then bought this pair for warmer weather. I have fairly broad feet, and these fit perfectly. I think they are a really great value for the price.

I read the reviews and was so pleased that they were true. The shoes fit well from the first wearing. I like a wide toe box and these have them. Also the foot bed is very supportive, yet comfortable. I have worn them on sidewalks, the beach, and on unpaved roads and they are great on all three.

They are true to size, very comfortable, and good looking. Great for walking.

These shoes are roomy without being too large. Nothing to bind or pinch the toes. Comfortable from the first minute and I've worn them almost daily since July 2019. I have an extra pair ready to go. I would buy a black pair if offered.

These shoes are comfortable and the arch support helps keep my feet from becoming tired by the end of the day. There is enough toe room even with thicker socks.

Was able to wear this right out of the box and walk my usual 3 miles without any issues at all.

This shoe is the most comfortable sneaker like shoe I have ever had. The toe box is roomier than most which is great for when my feet swell a bit. I buy an 11 wide to allow room for socks in winter and the swelling. They have great support in the foot bed with enough cushion to be comfortable to wear with out socks as well. The blue color is a true Navy blue.I live where there is a lot of loose dirt and the shoes are easy to clean off with a shoe brush. I bought my first pair this Spring and liked them so much I bought a second pair when they were on sale to have a back up if needed. I am so glad that LL Bean offers many of their shoes in a wide width.

The best thing about these shoes is that I don't even think about my feet while wearing them; they're that comfortable. After years of heels, boots (ski, moto, and horse), and sprained/broken ankles (not to mention bare feet and flip flops hence the wide feet), I need orthotics and far more expensive shoes to not ache and hurt. But I put on these shoes with the stock insole and my feet feel soooo comfy. I wear them for my daily ~2 mile walk and also for lengthy, time-consuming on-your-feet excursions to Costco, grocery store, and Ikea--yes both floors AND waiting in the checkout line! I waited a few months after purchase to be sure my foot experience was consistent and it is. The only negative is that the inside lining is somewhat catchy so I do have to be careful to not let my socks catch but that could just be my socks too. I take a half-size bigger in New Balance shoes so I agree that these Bean shoes are true to size, and it's awesome that these are offered in a wide width--thank you LL Bean!

The sneakers' fit is true to size. They were comfortable right out of the box. If you have custom fit orthotics, they will fit perfectly. The color and style are beautiful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love these shows, wore them all over Disney World and they fit me perfect and were so comfortable. Color is awesome!! Would buy again.

I'm very happy with these sneakers. They are not exactly fashionable, a bit boxy looking, however they fit great and I find myself looking for them when I take a walk!

These shoes are beautifully made, and the removable insole is outstanding in wicking capability and arch support. I am so sorry that I will have to return these shoes. Because of overpronation, I wear podiatrist-prescribed rigid custom orthotics. Placing my orthotics either under or over the shoe's insole creates an overcorrection. Wearing the shoes without my orthotics doesn't provide enough correction. If you have the type of custom orthotics that replace a shoe's insole, you will have no problem wearing these shoes; there is plenty of vertical space.

I like these shoes so much that I now have 2 pairs.

I am so glad to have found LL Bean! Having a store in our area has become dangerous! lol! Seriously, I have difficulty finding good walking shoes (I am a prof pet sitter) and the snow sneakers save me in the cold months and now these walking shoes will get me through summer. Your customer service was awesome...I first ordered hiking shoes and they didn't fit. I told the lady I needed a fit just like the snow sneakers and I got the mesh walking shoe. Perfection! LL Bean also has the best jeans. Finally I can buy jeans that fit! Thank you for good products and awesome customer service!

I don't have wide feet, but do have a bunion that develops a painful corn if shoes rub it, so wide is best, and this shoe fits great! No rubbing! I also have very high arches and developed plantar fasciitis which will flare up if I don't put an extra insole and extra arch support insert into the shoe (I wear size 8 in a sandal). The inserts then fit well in the shoe. I've found for my daily 2-1/2 mile walks (for the past month) the shoe's fit and construction to be equal to more costly mainstream brands. The white laces against the navy blue shoe color make them look like boat shoes, but I don't mind. Comfort is key!
