I need comfortable shoes with good arch support to wear at work as I am on my feet a lot. I purchased these and another style but kept these. I have pretty much been wearing them since they arrived. They are a little wide, but I don't mind having a little extra room, it's not as though they flop or anything. I am so glad I called customer service and they helped me find exactly what I was looking for!

You will not be sorry purchasing these shoes for walking. Never did I experience any pain the first time I wore them. My 62 yo feet hurt on a hard surface, and there's slight pronation when standing. Nonetheless, I walk comfortably in these shoes with the foot support needed. Love them and will buy the gray pair too!

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box! I have wide feet and bunions on both--such trouble finding the right shoes. I'm always wary when I try a new style, but I was delighted this time. I hope L.L. makes more along this line, with EXACTLY these fit dimensions, please! If you have wide feet like me, try these--they feel wonderful EVEN with the inside comfort sole inside--so lovely. This shoes are very comfortable! Wear them nearly everyday for walking my dog in the city. Let's face it- not the most stylish shoes, but perfect for their purpose at a reasonable price.

I was getting desperate. I bought 2 pair of shoes (not from LLBean) and they were just about a whole size too short. I took a chance on trying this pair with the LLBean name on it. The reviews indicated they were true to size. I was delighted. They fit perfectly. When you wear an 11 there is no place else to go. Manufacturers need to stop shortening the shoe sizes! Thank you LLBean!

This shoe was made for me. The fit is great and it has just enough arch support for my super flat feet. I'm glad I found it.

I have never had luck with LL Bean shoes but these fit perfectly. They are just the right amount of snug for me to feel safe and they are comfortable and the color is a perfect navy. Great shoes!

I don't have an overly wide foot but wider than the comfort level of mediums. I have found shoes lately to have a very narrow toe box and no extra room if you wear a bit heavier sock, so have been buying wide. Some seem just too wide while mediums are just a bit too tight. Ordered these with my usual apprehension about will they fit or not and was hugely surprised!! These fit perfectly, right out of the box and no having to think about if I liked them or are they comfortable.Totally comfortable if you have a foot that really runs inbetween a medium and wide. Some reviews said they ran too wide but I guess it really depends on your foot, but I think they are worth giving them a try. Loved them so much I immediately ordered another pair in another color. I'm hoping after wearing them a few weeks, they should still feel just as good and I'm anticipating they will. So glad I tried them!!

I really love the shoes everything was better than I thought it would be. Wide width and size and comfortable. I recommend to anyone with wide feet and want comfort.

These shoes do not bind or put pressure on my toes. There's plenty of arch support. And they cushion my feet while walking on pavement. The depth of the large rubber sole felt awkward at first, but I guess that's what helps makes them so comfortable.

I have a very high instep and struggle to find decent tennis shoes. Ordered the navy pair and immediately they were comfortable as slippers yet still provided support. Love these shoes so much I ordered the taupe pair too.

These are the best sneakers for walking that I've ever worn. Although they are heavier and somewhat clunkier than what I'm used to, they offer excellent support and stability while walking. They were comfortable from the start and didn't require any break in period. The only negative was the extra long white laces that looked odd. I replaced them with shorter gray laces to match the sneakers. Overall I highly recommend these sneakers.

I love these shoes! I stand for 10 hours a day in surgery. They have great arch support and fit my feet perfectly. I didn't have to break them in like most shoes. The first time I wore them, my feet felt great all day. I would highly recommend! The price was right also.

Good support, even with frequent use of the treadmill. I don't use it for anything else, but if it works for that, it will certainly work for any kind of serious walking. Recommended.

Shoes fit well. Too bad they have such cheap looking white polyester-type laces. If I ever shop at a local store again I'll replace them with some flat cotton colored laces.

I always hesitate to buy shoes online but have really good luck with LLBean products. These shoes were very comfortable right out of the box and I am pretty sure I will get lots of use out of them.

I love these sneakers. I walk at least 3 miles every morning and then walk through a busy day. The minute I put these shoes on I felt the comfort these shoes provide. They fit perfectly. My feet breathe through the material. I will never buy a different pair of walking sneakers as long as llbean makes these.

fits well and thick soles are are a definite plus for comfortable walking (can't feel the stones)

There was a bit of a breaking-in period for me (not unexpected as I hadn't worn sneakers or walking shoes in at least 10 years), and they are now comfortable and I think they're helping me improve my stride (arthritis made it hard for me to walk for a few years, and I still have residual stiffness and swelling in my joints at times) - which is what I was hoping for when I bought them. What surprised me is how hot my feet get in them. They do have mesh - but it's lined with foam, not just the collar and tongue but the whole inside of the shoe. It's working for me as long as I take them off immediately after I return from a walk, but I thought I'd be able to wear them around the house for an hour or two until my second walk - and that does not work. I think they will be cozy to wear on chilly fall mornings - but not what I expected for shoes advertised as breathable.

Very happy with my purchase. I usually have to try on shoes/sneakers before buying because of my foot shape. Took a chance with mail order and am very satisfied. Have taken 2 mile-long walks in these sneakers. They fit very well, seem to be very well-made, and were very comfortable right away.

I love these shoes!! They are good looking, comfortable and well made. Now that I see that they are available in grey I will be buying another pair. I liked them so much that when I was looking for a gift for a friend I selected the mens version. He told me that the shoe is very comfortable and that it has become his "go to" shoe to wear.

Comfortable right from the box! Feet felt great after a 4 mile trial neighborhood walk. I am very happy with my choice -- the shoe construction, fit and comfort are just what I was looking for. I ordered my normal size. I have found the shoe fits well even when worn with different weight socks. So pleased with this great value.

Comfortable from the moment I put these shoes on my feet! I walk and bike, and these are comfy. As comfortable as the Bean snow sneakers I purchased last winter.
