I got these for walking on pavement for dog walking. I walk perhaps 4 miles a day total. I use other shoes some days. The soles are getting smooth way too early. Wet surfaces will become very slippery. Very comfortable shoe but will not last a summer.

This shoe has zero grip on a wet floor. It is like walking on ice!

The picture in the catalog looked like a pair I own from a previous year, but this time, wide was not wide enough. I returned them.

I bought these shoes and wore them for a little while. They seemed fine. I started wearing them a more for longer walks and they started to hurt my feet. I threw them in the back of the closet and recently found them. I tried them again for a long walk and I couldn't wait to get back home to take them off. Not happy.

Sizing nightmare. The shoe was too narrow for my D sized foot. To top it all off, I had to pay for return shipping. Won't be shopping for shoes from this retailer again.

The most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned. If you like to suffer than these are the shoes for you. I wasted a lot of money on these.

Comfortable, supportive, good-looking shoe. The edge of the insole is fairly rigid, and I had to cut out a small section where it rubbed a spot on one of my feet uncomfortably, but that solved the problem.

The shoes were very stiff and uncomfortable. I did not like the shiny top of the shoes. I had to return them. It is the first thing I had to return from LL Bean. Thank you, MJ

Shoes were uncomfortable, were stiff, and felt like walking on concrete with no inside cushion. I will be returning them.

Unacceptable quality, falling apart after three months of normal wear, no sporting activities, so thankful for Bean's one year warranty

Uncomfortable. Inner sole does not conform to contour of arch. Flat and rough. Feels like walking barefoot on pea gravel. Disappointing. Not usual L.L. Bean standards.

Terrible shoes for walking. There is no sideways support and they feel sloppy and cheap. I tried them for a few weeks so I can't return them. Very unhappy with these shoes.

My 21 July review indicated no wear on the uppers however that was premature. Three days later the inner heel fabric wore through on one shoe and caused a blister. The other shoe also shows wear. See photo. This was at about 370 miles. I will try using tape and/or moleskin to extend the shoe's service life but it looks like these won't make it much longer if I can't resolve the blistering. I walk about 5 miles a day, 6 days a week. I would need 4 pairs of these shoes annually if this wear is typical.

I love LL Bean but unfortunately these shoes are not 11 1/2. They feel like an 11. My toes are pretty much smacked up at the end of the shoes and sore now. They are roomy but not long enough. I bought them for my trip to France but my toes began get sore on Day III. Again, they are not a true 11 1/2. Sad, as I really liked them.

I am wearing my second pair of these shoes - they're light and comfortable for walking. I liked them so much I ordered pairs three and four to be shipped to my house. Out of the four shoes I got, one shoe was at least a size smaller than it should be, one was badly stitched (the mesh puckered on top of the toe), and another shoe was also badly stitched (the front of the shoe pointed off at an angle instead of straight ahead.) Very disappointed. I know most of your stock isn't made in Maine anymore but you ought to enforce some standards. Returned them, with the hassle of driving to the nearest Bean store to do so. Where they had nothing like what I wanted in stock. So I won't be looking to LLBean for shoes anymore.

This sneaker fit well and was comfortable but it had flaw in its design that caused significant heal pain after a 3-4 days of walking with them. I had to return them for another brand sneaker.
