Nice looking shoes. To bad they were not comfortable. The high arc made them unsuitable to wear.

This is not memory foam. It's painful to my feet. Had to buy memory foam inserts to replace LLBean's originals.

When I first put them on they were very comfortable. That made up for the clunky look that was worse in real life. But then after wearing them a dozen times or so, The paint started peeling off the side of the shoes and the toe box started fraying. The construction quality is pretty poor.

I wish I could recommend this shoe, But I can't. I purchased a pair in 10 Wide. The shoes are too short, too narrow and the arch support is actually under the front of my heel. I tested them out on a half mile walk around town and my feet were in pain halfway back. Bean needs to go back to the drawing board, or at least have a serious discussion with the manufacturer.

Too thin a front sole for a serious walking shoe. Otherwise OK.

Fit and comfort were fine, but the rubber durometer seemed to soft at the heel. Had problems with easily rolling ankle to the side. Never had this problem with other footwear.

Is probably a fantastic shoe but it was too narrow for the extreme arch of my foot. While I have other LLBean shoes that are exactly the same size that fit perfectly I was very disappointed to find out that the sizes are not consistent across models. It is not new to me that it is very difficult for me to purchase shoes without first trying them on.

A professional in the athletic and hiking shoe business once said, a shoe should feel good as soon as you put it on. These did not despite going up a half size. The toe box, despite my being a medium width, felt constrained. After trying two pairs at two different sizes these shoes in the end did not work for me.

I know, I know. Buying shoes online. It's a mug's game. However I've usually had good luck. These shoes are a weird mix of bad traction, no support, no ground feel, heavy, clunky, ugly. I wish I could return them. They make me feel unsteady just walking around the neighborhood.

The quality of this shoe has dropped below acceptable. They used to last 6 months before starting to fall apart. Now they start to fall apart in a few weeks. LL Bean was always know for quality but now there is nothing that sets them apart from any other sellers.

Its not as comfortable as I would like for the price ($92). The shoes look good but hopefully what they lack in comfort, they will make up for in durability. Time will tell, but after 3 weeks of wearing them daily they still aren't "broken in" or comfortable.

They run narrow and look cheap. They were not comfortable. Returned for credit.

The length was at least a half size too small, maybe even a full size too small. It was hard to even put them on. I have had good success in the past with 9 wide shoes from LLB. Not so with these. They run really small.

I like the flat soles. Wider than other LLB "hiking shoes" I've had. But the soles are also very thin, so these are urban walkers for paved surfaces, not for trails.

These are the most uncomfortable, least-supportive shoes I've ever purchased from L. L. Bean, and my Maine Hunting Shoes date from 1967. Though about as sturdy as bedroom slippers, the sneakers earned two stars because they are, well, cheap, at least when compared to similar products sold by other companies, and sort of salvageable. To wit: insertion of foam insoles, which both help cushion the foot and improve the too-wide fit. My sneakers are tan and black yet came with clashing white laces of a hard-textured material that would not stay tied. These I replaced with cotton laces in black. All told, it took four bucks to raise these sorry sneakers to the level of, if not a walking shoe, at least a kicking-around-the-house-and-yard shoe. Unless you're OK with floppy footwear, be good to your feet and buy something sturdier.

I've been wearing size 10.5 Double E for more than 50 years and I know what this size feels like. The length of these may be right, but the width surely isn't. I have always felt that if anything, my right foot is a BIT wider than my left. In this case, the right is okay and the left is seriously uncomfortable. See the picture I've posted. You can see looking at the outside of these shoes that my Sketchers are wider than the LLBean hiking sneakers. The inside of the shoe says it's a "Wide", but it is NOT a Double E.
I'm not sure what to do. Send them back? Hope they break in? I don't know but I DO know LLBean needs to look into the size of these shoes, because it's off.

Disappointed the EE width was way too narrow. Unfortunately, Beans does not carry a wider selection of shoes. Returning was simple process.

My husband ordered 10-1/2 and 11 to see which would fit. The 10-1/2 was best; however, the width which he needs would have worked IF he could have tightened the laces. The design of the shoe did not allow him to snug the shoe up. But they looked good and we felt they were made well. In the end, because they were too sloppy the 2 pair had to be returned to LLBean.

The gray detail on the soles is painted on. It peeled off with the first wash. Poor quality and disappointingly cheap. Adblockers stopping reviews is either poor coding or corporate desperation.
