I thought I was getting a shirt, instead I got a shirt that is large enough to be a light jacket. This is the first time I ordered a corduroy women's shirt so have nothing to compare to previous shirts sold by L. L. Bean. I like the shirt/jacket just fine and have worn it several times since I received it and were it over a lighter weight blouse. The inside pockets are okay, tough didn't expect them. The side pockets are okay. Would I order it again, I might if they had the color I wanted.

I love the color and the jacket but the pockets are too large and bulky. I am trying to figure away too tighten them up because I really like the jacket but would advise anyone thinking of buying it not too because of the bulky pockets.

The shirt was well made but bulky. I was hoping for a softer drapier fit. It was not a relaxed soft feel to me.

I prefer the shirt without the side pocket and only one pocket on the left front side.

Definitely not as nice as the previous style corduroy shirt in plus size. This fit much smaller, I had to return and order next size up. Is bulkier fit with extra chest pocket and side pockets. Would love for you to get previous style back in this shirt!!

Gorgeous color, appears well made. However, it was a much looser and boxier fit than what I typically prefer. The color is so striking that I may exchange mine for a small, but I haven't decided yet.

I purchased the shirt in the sand color. The color is pretty and the outside of the shirt looks great. I am disappointed that the material that composes the pockets is blue chambray. The pocket liners are just tacked and flop around. These floppy blue pockets will be visible when wearing the shirt open like the jacket it was designed to be.

This would be a very nice shirt if the side pockets were not stitched into the hem of the shirt, causing the shirt bottom to buckle very noticeably. Also, the pockets are made of a very cheap, ugly blue fabric which clashes with the berry color of the top. I will probably cut the pockets out and stitch the side pockets shut. It's a shame to have to do this with a brand new $50 shirt.

Not a flattering look. I originally ordered a large, returned for a medium. It fits better but the pockets at the bottom make me look like a square with legs. It is warm and comfortable but not very fashionable. I would not wear it out of the house.

The shirt is not what I would call relaxed. I expected a roomy fit. I have the no side pocket flannel lined version in a size smaller which fits fine I wanted a roomier fit for this so ordered up glad I did or I am not sure it would have fit

The shirts used to be mire shapely and didn't have pockets. This was too boxy so I returned it.

I have the old version of this shirt and so hoped I would love this olive-green version as much as I love the old one I have in black. Everything about this is great except the crazy, wonky side pockets made out of blue denim. They make the shirt stick out on the sides. Since I can sew, I was able to get rid of the pockets, but I really don't think they're an asset to this style at all!

I have a lot of these shirts and have ordered at least one almost every year for ages. The most recent shirts are a good inch shorter and about a half size smaller than the older versions. The fabric appears thinner than the older shirts too. I still like them but am a bit disappointed that the fit and quality has changed. I like the pockets.

I have many of your big corduroy shirts. I was dismayed when they weren't in your catalog any more and was happy to see new ones listed. BUT, this shirt is not comparable to the old styles. One thing I don't get is what is the "raggy" pieces of fabric sewed on the wrong side of the shirt in the front? It shows when shirt is on without being buttoned and looks terrible. Since my shirts are getting worn out I may buy these again, but I will have to have the fabric removed from the inside of the front of the shirt. Also, it is not as comfortable as the earlier shirts.

I would like to see this shirt in a tunic length with side slits. I think that would make it more attractive and comfortable.

I have 4 corduroy big shirts from LlBean , this is the first one I dislike. The color is perfect but everything else is wrong. The new side pockets make it feel like a jacket not a comfy shirt. Why? Why change clothing that had been perfect ?

Frankly I am disappointed. I have had another L. L. Bean corduroy shirt for many years that is a perfect fit, just worn out and discolored from thousands of washings. I ordered this one a size larger than I believed I took, but it is cut differently and a bad fit for me. I kept thinking the price would come down, but it never did so I finally just ordered a new shirt for replacement. The original shirt was made in Hong Kong and the new one was made in Srilanka. I really wanted to be happy, but still prefer the old shirt.

Since I'll be wearing it as an overshirt the grey leftover material on the inside (pockets), stand out like a sore thumb on the teal color of the shirt. Very disappointed

The fabric is very good. The fit is good. The way pockets were made is bad. Since I can sew I will alter the pockets so the odd fabric on the interior does not show when the jacket is unbuttoned.

Too large wale of corduroy, ran larger than other shirts ordered in same size. Hard to button. Shape was awkward.

Lucious color. Lovely feel. But, the 'searsucker' pucker corduroy is tacky The worst: the interior blue cloth pockets. How cheap can LLBean get ! Shiuld be same corduroy as the shirt. They really are a horror. I cut them off. Makes the shirt look sooo cheap

the pockets are on-seam and too far back to be comfortable; otherwise, the perfect shacket!

Unfortunately, I accidentally ordered a regular medium instead of Petite. So I returned it and now am waiting for a petite which is back ordered. However- I am honestly disappointed in the "new" slimmer silhouette and had to size up to an xl. I have 3 of the old style wide wale corduroy shirts I have had for years. They are all petite large and fit like a dream. They are roomy, attractive, and comfortable. I also do not care for the double patch pockets or the side pockets. I don't understand why you discontinued the tried and true original style.
