I love the wide wale corduroy, the cozy and soft feeling. Fits fine, would have liked it longer but it is ok. Sleeves are long enough, and plenty of room for a cotton turtleneck underneath. The color, which I though might be dull, is GORGEOUS! A deep and rich gray hue with a slight shading towards blue. Now...about those pockets! I had read that they had been fixed, but no, just like in the other reviews and pics, the soft cotton lining inside folds over and hangs down when the jacket is off and open. It is ok while I am wearing it (doesn't hang down), and in fact I love having side pockets for hands. So, ok, I might care enough to use thin fusible webbing and try to stick it to the outer front, but it might show on the outer side. There is no other fix, other than to just decide it is a casual shirt with a lovely feel and color, and ignore the *** pockets! So 4 stars OR send me another one with the pockets fixed Llbean, and I'll give 5 stars.LOL.

I do love this shirt. Really nice. Soft cord, nice drape, fine quality workmanship. Problem is, I'm usually a 1x or XL. I ordered a 2x which would have been plenty plenty big enough elsewhere but tight in the arm holes and width of shoulder. Since I wanted for an over shirt/layering I went to 3x. Its definitely too big everywhere but the arm holes! Kept it since it serves the purpose but apparently we need to adapt arm hole sizing to the rest of the shirt. It's lovely color and great comfort as a shrug though! And the color of Marine (?) Blue, a gorgeous deep color that is still my all time fave.

More of a lightweight jacket than a shirt. I got the floppy pockets - evidently the company 'fixed' the problem, but still had some of the older ones in stock. I can live with that, but they should have made them more secure to begin with. Hey, at least they're pockets. I just wouldn't trust my keys in them. It is a beautiful jacket, though. Rich color.True to size, so order up if you want the baggy look.

The new cord shirt with the pockets are a lot more snug. I like the relaxed, roomy fit. I bought up a size. I think I like the old style better. I don't see the lower pockets holding up for the long haul. Love the Deep Admiral and Bright Blue colors.

I own several of these shirts and the sleeves are never long enough. They are about two inches too short. Other than that they are great.

I do like the new version shirt, but the Old Shirt was absolutely awesome! My black shirt is ripped up the side, but I still where it around the house. if you can't bring back the old shirt, can you add "black" to your color selection of the new version? The pockets are cool, so maybe you can carry both versions! I miss the black color!

I love this shirt, fits well and soft and warm. One problem is the pockets are not attached on the inside so things flop around instead of laying close to the shirt. I am going to either sew a few tacks on the insde of the pockeets or try iron-on attachment. These shirts could be better in this way. Otherwise, great quality, if the pocket att ach the pocket, I would want another one.

Loving the color and the fit. I've been wearing it as a quick, light jacket. Comfortable with a splash of color!

This is a perfect overshirt. Petite Medium. Roomy. It is a little bulkier than I thought it would be, otherwise it's perfect.

My mother had one of these for years in light aqua. That color was out of stock and so I suggested a darker teal. She loves it, but she really would like the light aqua color best. I would like to return it if the aqua color is in stock. Other than that, yes its gorgeous and her favorite ever!

I have had an LLBean corduroy shirt for years that I wear all the time, and I love it. I thought I would like one in a spring color, and the mauve pink is perfect. However, I do not like the side-seam pockets. The blue chambray pocket liner flops around and clearly does not match if it shows. Please return to the basic big-shirt style with one or two chest pockets.

I have several of these comfort corduroy shirts and have always ordered a small because they had run large. They were comfortable and and fit well. However, this time when I ordered the same size I was disappointed to find how tight the arms were as well as the chest area. I realized the style had been changed to a much more snug fit and after talking with the sales clerk she confirmed it for me. Needless to say I have exchanged it for a medium and am hoping it fits as well as the others I use to buy in a small.

I've had several of these corduroy shirts over the years. I ordered a large as usual because I have very wide shoulders and large bicep area. The large doesn't allow free arm movement. In the past they have always fit, and I have older ones to prove it. Also this one is a much stiffer corduroy, my older ones were much softer out of the package. I kept this one to give as a gift, and reordered an XL for myself, but it's back ordered as it is out of stock. I am disappointed because I probably won't receive it before it gets too warm to wear it.

I would love this shirt if there hadn't been an issue with the quality. I returned the first one I received because of faulty sewing around the front pocket, which caused the shirt to bunch up and fit badly. I quickly received the replacement, but now the crooked seam bunches up at the hem; I decided to keep the shirt and hope it doesn't show too much. Otherwise, the shirt is lovely; it runs large but I expect it to shrink to perfection. I love all the pockets and the soft fabric.

I love love love this shirt! It's just a little baggy, super warm but still lightweight. Keeps me warm all day long! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it shrunk a little in the dryer, and is now a little more fitted than I prefer.

I bought two of these a few years ago and have worn them many times in multiple seasons. Sometimes wear by themselves, sometimes over a tee. Sometimes leave open and use like a lighter weight jacket. They were well made and after all the use and years worn, still look like new. One thing I will say, I always wash cotton in warm >>cool and I never put it in the dryer. I hang cotton to dry. Doesn't matter if a top or bottom. I shake it out, place it on a hanger, smooth it out and hang over the shower curtain rod. I check it periodically to make sure not seeing any puckering or wrinkles along seams, on collar, cuffs or button placket.. If I do I pull a little to smooth out where needed and rehang. I don't have a problem with cotton shrinking handling this it this way. You could hand stretch it if necessary if you do get a little shrinkage. You can do that when it's wet, but also get a litle stretch It's already dried. It' s just important to remember, you can't treat cotton like you do polyester or other synthetic fibers. You can't just throw it in the dryer or it will shrink-- that's just cotton. Sometimes you can get something where the fabric was preshrunk but I still wouldn't throw it in the dryer. Cotton treated well and washed properly--no hot water & hang dry will last for years & still look good . Not only that, but the older it gets, the softer it gets. I'm allergic to synthetic fibers so I wear a lot of cotton, wool, silk & cashmere-- all natural fibers. This very versatile shirt is a winner for me.

Beautiful color and quality but way too big for me. I couldn't exchange it as I was in COVID isolation/Quarrantine when it arrived. If I were to buy it again, I would order a large.

I got this yesterday and really love it. I bought a petite medium. My only criticism is the pockets. I don't really see the point. Also, living in Southern California the likelihood of wearing it over a T-shirt is high, but the inside pockets are unfinished and kind of cheap looking. lose the pockets for next year please.

Although, this shirt is nice and I purchased 4 of them, I would really like them better if they were longer. I usually don't purchase shirts from LL Bean because they are shorter than I prefer. LL Bean has one of the Best Customer Service that I have ever experienced.

Since it is a relaxed "big shirt" and most of the tops I have ordered from LLBean have been medium size, I was disappointed to have to return it for a large, which I haven't received yet due to being back ordered. However, the color and softness pleased me very much, and I look forward to having a size that fits (or may be just slightly large).

I was a little disappointed in the style because it changed from what it used to be. The old style didn't have the side pockets and seemed to fit a bit bigger.

I don't think the construction is as good as those purchased earlier. I like the pockets.
