The fabric is great, comfy and warm. I like the shirt except for the pockets. They add bulk in the hip area.

I have several of these in multiple colors that I have acquired from LLBean over the years. Then in 2019 - it wasn't offered - to my dismay. I was happy to see its return in 2020, so I ordered one in a new color. All my previous shirts are Medium, and fit generously and perfectly. A medium in the new style was too small. I re-ordered a Large, and it fit like the old mediums. It was heavier and "stiffer", and now, a year later, the buttons are still difficult to button and unbutton. I also like the previous one front pocket style .instead of the two front pockets. The side seam pockets are interesting, but not really necessary and add to "bulk" of the shirt. Despite the changes, the shirt is still "well built" and hopefully will stand the test of time and last as long as the old style. I am ordering one for 2021 as well.

First of all, the shirt looks great and is just the right amount of weight and warmth for my region of the country. I would have given the shirt 5 stars but both inside pockets were not totally sewn leaving holes in the pocket. L.L. Bean quickly offered replacement, free s&h, but I didn't want to risk them being sold out of this color. I actually ordered 2 more and one is on backorder. Just check the pockets because you could lose something valuable. A+ Customer Service.

Heavy corduroy, beautiful color, quality construction. Loved the unexpected side pockets. Wish the shirt was longer in length. Haven't laundered, hope it doesn't shrink.

Stylish and comfy shirt! I love every shade of brown so went right to the chestnut color. It is so warm and just resonates Fall! This shirt pairs well with leggings and slouch pants to jean and trousers. The pockets are an added bonus and I like that they're not bulky; only drawback is the lining material is not as soft as the corduroy and the color is a granite grey so when wearing the shirt unbuttoned it loses it's stylish look as the different color is distracting. Match the pocket lining color to the shirt color and it's perfect!

Very comfortable shirt. I found the sleeves to be a bit short.

While the jacket material has changed, the real problem is the design flaw. The material forming the pockets has been sown into the hem. Put anything in a pocket and the jacket hem rises, making the entire jacket look frumpy or mangled. The fix is to cut the pocket material away from the hem and resew each pocket. Not ideal

The corduroy is a thick, wonderful material and the side pockets are nice and deep. As others have said, the inside fabric doesn't match the outside at all. I ordered the Berry (more like mauve in person) and the pockets are blue chambray. It looks like they ran out of material and had to scrounge. No one will see that unless you wear it unbuttoned and then it will look odd. The body size is true, but I'm a petite and the sleeves go halfway down my fingers. I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know if there will be shrinkage or not. I'm excited to wear it as a buttoned jacket (those pockets!).

This was not quite what I expected. I expected it to be more tailored for fit. The wide wale cordory does not fit the cut and style. Not so pleased with this item and the price was rather high

cozy shirt for casual days. I liked this on the model, but did not like it on me. I am keeping it for running to the mailbox and store. We have ever changing weather in the PNW so it will come in handy when cold but not raining.

Ordered petite medium, and the fit is great. Would be a five star rating except I don't like the way the pockets look on the inside of the shirt.

It is not a lightweight cord. Probably, a medium weight. Well made; beautiful colors. A nice addition to my closet.

Great jacket. My only suggestion is that the pocket lining seems cheap. Maybe the color of the fabric would look more professional if it closer matched the color of the jacket. Other than that I love the pocket feature.

I was happy to see this shirt with side pockets. Yes, I would have preferred that they match the color of the shirt better but I can live with it. This shirt is a good weight for cool fall days. Comfortable to wear. I am 5'2", 118 lbs. The small fits well. I wear it as a jacket.

The sizing is uncertain. The first one I ordered in Plus 1x fit perfectly. The second one, in the same size, was too small and had to be returned for a larger size.

I bought this to wear untucked and not buttoned over turtle necks or a light shirt. I bought a large, normally wear a medium, for an extra layer of warmth. Pockets are floppy and not well made, but the color is perfect

Shirt is cozy and attractive. The two side pockets are a big improvement, very necessary.

Really like the fabric, color, hem finished like a jacket, best of all, in seam side pockets! I bought a women's small, and the fit was perfect.

Had lots of the old corduroy big shirts. Liked it better than the new version because of the pockets, which give extra bulk on the sides. I may try to cut them out or something. That said, I still like this shirt. It fits well, hangs well (somewhat near the body) without looking too bulky. This one is good, but I still think the fit of the old one was better. It seemed more like a shirt and this more like a jacket. Ok, in spite of my complaints, it is still great purchase.

This is my first order of this popular shirt. I ordered petite Large in saddle and reg Large in carbon blue. I will wear it as 2nd layer over a t-shirt. I felt the reg large was too long overall and looked a little sloppy. I didn't want to risk washing and hoping it would shrink to where I would like it. I'm happy with the petite large (per LLB is 2" shorter overall). The fabric is soft, the colors are rich and 4 pockets are useful. I would say my only complaint is the on seam pockets. I find it curious they used a different color fabric for the pockets. When you wear the shirt open (as I do) the large square fabric is seen. I would prefer the pocket fabric be the same or at least closer to the color of the shirt. The saddle color shirt has light denim color fabric for the pockets. Overall, I like the shirt well enough to have bought 2.

I do love this shirt and I have two, the Saddle color and the Carbon Navy color... They fit fine.... I did get petite.... and are perfect for chili mornings on this high desert plateau... or where air-conditioning keeps the work area too cool. I get compliments when ever I wear either one. But, the inside lining for the pockets is so poorly done. It is a cheap material of a color that does not match the Saddle color, and with the Carbon Navy color the pocket lining is loose and baggy hanging into the opening when I don't button it up. The top of the lining is a cheap overstitch. . I will make the baggy one fit doing the mending myself. This is the first time that I have seen shoddy workmanship on an LL Bean product. But I love the shirts too much to send them back.

I already had 2 of these from years ago. They were still in good shape except for some fading. I ordered 2 new ones and am generally happy with them. I ordered a larger size this time because I'm older and now have more trouble getting into shirts than before. Also I have moved from SC back to OH and need to layer more under them than before. I have yet to evaluate the addition of side pockets but generally favor having pockets as opposed to their lack. One very large compliant is the lack of color choices available. I ordered a berry and the brown offering. I wanted the teal to replace the one I have that is faded but many folks must be in the same position because it was unavailable even though I placed my order as soon as I saw the availability of this shirt. Also it would be nice to have some long sleeved tees in colors to coordinate with the corduroy shirt. Women like shades of brown and greens too. I personally never wear "pink" or "lavender". If you'd look at your color offerings you'd see that they don't offer much to wear with khakis or brown slacks which I prefer. It'd be nice if someone at L.L. Bean responsible for making these offering choices would listen but observing many customer comments over the last couple of years it doesn't appear that they will.
