This coat is the perfect coat for late fall/early winter in the north shore MA area and a great car coat all the way through when you're running errands etc. Maybe even in the real cold with a layer or two. The petite size was perfect in the sleeves. I am larger through the hips but it was perfect there too. It keeps the wind out well. And the hood is the perfect fit-not down over my eyes. The longer length gives your derrire some warmth too on walks etc. I am very happy with my purchase.

The fleece lining immediately warms your bones! I love that this coat is a bit longer also and not horribly thick - hate feeling like the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

What a great coat this is! It is lightweight yet very warm. I find the slim fit more stylish than other brands/models. The length at mid-thigh keeps my whole upper body warm and it is not constraining to movement. The navy color is a nice dark hue.
One recommendation for improvement is a way to cinch up the hood to make it smaller if desired.

This is a pretty perfect all around coat light weight, breathable yet warm enough for most fall/winter/spring conditions in New England. Being 5'5" and 133 pounds, I bought the black size medium to have room for a bulky turtleneck underneath. If this coat came in a cream color I'd buy that one too!

It's the softest coat I've ever owned and fits like it's a part of me. Haven't had a chance to test it in 15weather yet but so far, keeping me toasty.

Exactly what I was looking for: deep pockets with zipper closures, lightweight warmth, nice fitting hood, easy layering, long enough for sitting outside in bleachers, and light enough to unzip and wear indoors for grocery shopping.

I loved this black coat so much that I bought a mineral blue too so that I would be more visible on CitiBike in NYC at night. This coat is super comfortable, it breathes and is the perfect warmth down to 45 or maybe 40 with a layer (I'm not a layer person, I usually have short sleeves on underneath or a long sleeve t-shirt at best (never a sweater). I bought it because I love the soft French Terry lining. The lining goes all the way down to the bottom, a feature I had trouble finding with other brands. I wear a Large which is consistent with my other LL Bean coats. The above the knee length is nice for the weight of the coat, I'm 5'5", yet I wish they made a six inch longer option - I'd buy that too. In December through February I switch to a long down coat in NYC. When I visit Southern California, I bring this for Winter. I read some critical reviews about it not being warm enough, it's not meant to be your warmest coat in your closet IMHO. I also like that it comfortable to carry once you are inside, it's not too bulky or too heavy. The hood fits well and the two pockets for your hands/non-lined gloves are in the perfect place.

Fit is true to size, love the two way zipper. The fleece lining is nice. The sleeve length in petite is just right not too long. I like everything about this coat.

This jacket feels and looks lightweight, but it is as warm as a big puffy coat. It's definitely somewhat waterproof. My jacket will feel soaked on the outside, but the moisture never seeps through. I feel like it runs slightly big. I'm usually a small, and it's a little loose on me.

I am 5'1" and 140 lbs. I knew to buy a large petite because my daughter has this coat in large and it fit other than being long. It is perfect, and very lightweight and warm. The hood protected me from a pop- up shower, too!

I bought this coat in early 2023. When it arrived, I was concerned that it was too light to be warm enough for outdoor activities. I used it several times and was pleased with how warm I was. Contrary to other reviewers, I had plenty of room for layers underneath if needed.
